Several weeks ago I took my new Lexus SUV to Carlos at Northridge Body Works for an odd thing in my door, almost looked like a bullet hole. He said that would be no problem, leave it for 2 days and they could fix it. I know when you have body work you aren't supposed to be able to tell where it was, but I still marvel that this 'thing' they repaired, I cannot tell where it was. Scammers! They will lie and exaggerate to steal your money. I needed break pads they lied to the extreme to tell me I needed calibers and rotors. Lied without even looking at my calibers to tell me they were broken. Gave me a price quote of $611. Took it to two different shops right after and both places said "don't go back" they confirmed they are liars and lied about my calibers. If you are a woman they will take advantage of you. After getting four quotes from local body shops, Northridge Bodyworks had one of the best quotes to repair/replace my front bumper. The owner (Carlos) was very nice and I felt comfortable in choosing his shop to replace the bumper on my car. I dropped off my car on Monday November 19th and it was ready the morning of Wednesday November 21st. It did take one extra day due to a mismatch of paint for the bumper, but things happen and the correction was made. Carlos was very helpful by calling the local car rental place (Enterprise) for me and reserving a rental car at the body shop rate! This saved me money and was very much appreciated due to the rental company having higher rates during the Thanksgiving week. I was also able to save 15% on the repairs by using the coupon through Yelp. This was very helpful because I was paying for the repairs myself (no insurance claim due to quote being lower than my deductible). I called Carlos after getting a bunch of quotes to fix and issue on my car . It was for body work . I called first and described the issue , I felt comfortable right away as everything Carlos said made perfect sense and I could sense he was genuine ! He said to just come in the same day and get a quote .. So I did .. out of all the body shops That I went to in the previous day , some would not let me be with them when they took the car into a private space to look at it , and some were outright rude ! and the quotes were in some cases double what I got from Northridge Bodyworks for body parts that cost $20-50 and take about 20 min to install .. Since the damage was mainly at the bottom of the car , I was hoping some of these places I went to would raise the car on a lift and let me look at it and explain how the damage happened . Some would say , it's not necessary and some would refuse to do it .. Carlos was the first guy to say , let's raise it up and see exactly what we're dealing with .. At that point I was sold already , just from his kindness and honesty !! We talked about it , Looked at things together and decided what would be the best approach and Carlos pointed out what was necessary to be done verses things that are just cosmetic and didn't matter for safety . Carlos and his team are PHENOMENAL! I brought in my 1972 Ford F-250 a few weeks ago and it needed major body restoration; the roof on my truck had rust that had completely eaten through the metal.
