I recently took my car to Omega Automotive for a paint job on the hood of my 2015 Jeep. From the moment I walked in, the staff was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Mike took the time to explain the step by step process of how they would paint my car. There was an issue that came up with the paint outcome, however Mike went above and beyond and kept me updated. I went in having some issues with my car shutting off on me, and they were so nice ! And assuring ! Asked me all the questions regarding my car and he understood with the information I was able to provide him. He called me same day and explained the issue that was wrong with my car. NOT worth your money. Carlos and his team are honest when it comes to their work and you can trust them with your vehicle, but they are not honest when it comes to pricing. If you'd like to be over charged and you have the money to blow then by all means go here. I was naive enough to go with them without looking at other shops because I trusted Carlos' word. Then I learned they charge $160/hr for labor costs. Which is absurd. A competitor 0.1 miles away only charges $85/hr. I would not have dropped my car off if I had known this before. My advice to whoever is reading this is SHOP AROUND before making any decision. Don't trust anyone just cause they seem honest. Do what's best for you and your pocket. Edit: Carlos called me so that I may correct my review. The actual labor costs are actually $116/hr. That was a misinterpretation on my end. Regardless, I will not change my rating because according to my research most dealerships charge $120/hr on average. In that case, I'd rather go to a dealership or a Firestone. Anyway, this review is mainly subjective but I still hope it helps anyone who reads it. read more

I recently had my sons car towed into Omega Automotive in Northridge after blowing a hole in the radiator eternally. I asked Carlos for an estimate and he told me $3,500.00 because the radiator was gurgling and we apparently needed a new head gasket and everything that goes with that. I asked Carlos for an estimate to just replace the radiator first so we could determine if the head gasket needed to be replaced. He told me $800.00. I knew that was a ridiculous price but I guess when your towed into a shop you at the shops mercy. I drove to his shop with a automotive dolly and picked up my sons car he charged me $125.00 for the misdiagnosis of the vehicle. I brought the car to First Place Auto in Murrieta where I had previously talked to the owner Javier and he had given me a price of $2,000.00 to replace the entire engine, belts, hoses, plugs thermostat, head gaskets and Radiator. I asked Javier if he could replace the radiator first to see if that was all I needed he called me 2 hours later and told me to come pick up the car the head gasket was fine. Javier charged me $151.00 for the radiator and $210.00 for labor a grand total of 374.69. I think you all can see that your being taken advantage of at Omega Automotive. read more

Can't help but feel ripped off. Called and spoke with Carlos and he told me that he could rebuild my transmission for $1900. I had quotes for $1600 and $2400 from other shops. I felt comfortable with them because my friend had his transmission done there a few years back. 3 days after dropping off my car, he calls and says it will be $2800. I told him about his quote and he said I know, I'm sorry. This isn't over yet as I haven't picked up the car. What can you do when they have already taken the transmission apart. I would beware of any quote given to you out of this shop. If he were off by $200, I wouldn't be writing this, but $900 under bid? I'll update this after I pick up my car, but for right now it goes on my list of places I would discourage people from going too. **UPDATE: When I picked up my car, I explained how ripped off and unfair I felt I was treated. I agree with Mark V, I was there for regular service, they mis-threaded a lug nut-cut of the Mis-thred and NEVER fixed it. Meaning they put the lug but back on with about two threads!!! When I went in the owner mentioned it and he told me that it was broken but I not worry about it and that he fixed it for free by replacing the entire nut .. Today I went in I get tires replaced at 4Wheel Auto Part and they told me the approach he took was not sAfe appropriate. Very disappointing as the owner comes across as genuine and sincere. Four years ago, I was having some car problems with my Volvo S40. My car was shaking when I pressed the gas pedal. I took my car to a shop near my work. The mechanic said I had dents on 2 of my rims and needed to repair these dents and then the shaking will stop. After paying a good amount of money, I thought my car was fixed. He was very informative on the phone and I was able to take my car in. Come to find out my car needed a new axle. Carlos and his staff was able to repair my car on a Saturday morning. Not that many mechanics would help a new customer on a Saturday without an appointment but Carlos did. Since then, I have been taking my car to Carlos and his staff. My husband and I moved from Northridge to West LA but we still take our car to Omega Automotive for service. We will not got anywhere else. I have taken my car here before and they changed my timeing belt an d fixed an overheating problem with my car. Very good work. Recently I brought my car in because it was making a noise. Carlos was diagnosing the problem, spent all day on it. I went in and picked up my car because i needed it. He gave me the estimate to fix my car, it was (2) sensors and an engine mount. -First of all he charged me 3 times retail price for the parts (there is an Autozone 2 doors down) -Second an insane amount for the labor. I change both the sensors my self in an hour, I am not a mechanic, just extremely intelligent, patient and resourceful -Third After replacing the parts recommended the problem still exists. SMH -Conclusion : A for effort & D for over estimating. F for misdiagnosing my car, I'm glad I did it myself, I saved $450.00, imagine if I paid him and the issue still wasn't addressed. read more

These cats are all right- their work is pretty damn thorough, and they keep catching stuff on my car before it becomes an issue, which has saved me a good amount of cash. And if I ain't got the cash at the time, I've never been pressured into getting work done that could wait. I've been coming here for a few years now and I still, always make that 12-mile drive from Studio City to get my Honda serviced, because they treat me and my car very well. They keep offering me free rides to a coffee shop or wherever I like while they work on my car. I usually just chill there and use their Wi-Fi if it's just an oil change. They even offered to have my car washed one time (it was pretty filthy), after I got an oil change- I'd have taken them up on that offer if I hadn't been in a rush. customer service I give an A++ quality of work, EXCELLENT, I feel like I'm get a bit more than I pay for (my 1995 Accord runs tip-top!) Their location is a bit annoying, especially if you're coming north on Reseda Blvd (making that Left after Napa), but that's never stopped me. read more
