Would not recommend at all. They have no patience for the children and are VERY inconsiderate They were great at first. Once my son turned two we started potty training. The teachers constantly stated how he wasn't ready but wasn't having any accidents at home. I had to force them to potty train him and had to constantly remind he is not in diapers. Once I made an issue of how they were potty training they moved him to the bigger room. Great. He as having issues adjusting to the older kids and was being a tad aggressive. I was notified of some incidents (others not until after they needed to cover their butts) About two weeks into the new classroom I am dropping my son off on a Monday morning. During signing him in Ms KRISTINA asked me to keep my son home. I stated I couldn't as I have a job. This is jot proper protocol to tell a parent as they are dropping their kid off. She did not care. I went home with my child and called into work. Asked for the owners number. Had to call twice to get it. Finally got ahold of her and she said she'll speak to the director and call me back. Called back and was advised my 25 month old son needs behavior therapy and anger management. Needless to say, wouldn't recommend. They are lazy and understaffed. Won't potty train and will try to tell you what to do with your child. My child is now thriving at another facility, a few hiccups, but they are more equipped to handle children as well as have more patience than this facility. read more

My daughter was in a home daycare from 8 months to 3 years so I was hesitant (and nervous) to change her routine but the staff at Northshore made the transition as smooth as possible for her. All of the teachers knew her name the first week and to this day (she started in February) they still greet her with excitement every morning when she walks in. Ms. Sandra, Ms. Sarah, and Ms. Rashawn love her like she's their own and really take a genuine interest in her well being and happiness. This is an absolutely wonderful place for children. My son is 5 and has been going here for a couple years now. All the teachers are just wonderful. I was trying to figure out if all day kindergarten was a good idea but a chat with Ms. Ann cleared that right up. As she explained, they do not just watch kids, they teach. Lots of reading and learning goes on, but plenty of fun too! They make crafts, read books, do projects, watch movies, and there's a wonderful outdoor playground. The price is quite reasonable and they watch the kids all day, whereas "all day" kindergarten for example is barely six hours. My son often comes home with new info such as math or in particular, learning the state capitols. Turns out he did not learn that stuff in public school! So as far as "daycare" goes I am sure most people want something affordable, safe, and perhaps a place that likes children and helps them grow and learn. This is all of that. If you are considering daycare at all you owe it to yourself to at least visit a Learning Tree and see what you think! read more

I was just about to post saying that I do NOT recommend Northshore Learning center for people of color, read some of the other reviews and it confirmed I am not the only one that's had issues here and with the same staff member. My son has had NO issues anywhere except for Northshore. The director told me it's my 5 year old son's fault that he was threatened and bullied by other kids there because he was trying to fit in and make friends. They never resolved the issue and claim to not remember the incident. My son was placed in a separate classroom for his safety but put back in the original class with the bullies without my knowledge and the director's excuse was "It was only a 2 day discrepancy". In my opinion it's still unacceptable, kids are suicidal these days and you would've been to blame had my son went down that path due to you placing him back in a class where he's been threatened and bullied. The director complained to me that my son was LOOKING at other kids play, and that him looking at the other kids was causing problems. My son then told the teacher that same kid hit him and they proceeded to call my child a liar. She went on to say (the kid that was doing the bullying) is an upstanding kid, no issues, tells the truth and is very emotional. What is that supposed to mean about my child? The other kid is so upstanding yet he bullied my child, taught him about a "Chinese Middle Finger" AND hit my child but MY child is made out to be the problem. My child has always been very reserved, and somewhat shy, and after all these incidents they decided to say it's been everyday that my child has an attitude, uses curse words and tells the kids he hates them, apparently it's been everyday but they decided to save all that information and let me know after he's been bullied and threatened. DO NOT attend Northshore unless you're ready for your child to be bullied and threatened by other kids without any repercussions and for the staff to target them and say they are the problem. Sad thing is, the very next day he started after school care at a different place and when I picked him up the staff reported "he is very sweet and well mannered; it's a true joy having him with us." WOW what a difference. read more

I had contacted this facility with the hopes of bring my 5 year old son here during school breaks - reasonable rates and workable operating hours. When I showed up with my son to register him, the ladies at the front desk (Director and Assistant Director) were not very welcoming to start off with. I thought maybe it's just been a long day, so we proceeded... Then when I informed them my son is HFA, their demeanor went from bad to worse. They looked at my son with disgust, and essentially let us know that he wouldn't be welcomed at that facility. I understand that not all child care facilities are trained to "teach" children with different learning abilities, but there's a way to say that without being discriminatory and treating people so rudely. read more

My son is 2.5 and has been going to this facility since August last year. This daycare is absolutely exceptional. My son has RARELY gotten sick. When you see the children that attend the daycare you will notice that the parents and teachers of the children in the facility maintain good hygiene with themselves and the children. My son LOVES going to "school" here and has learned an immense amount of skills and knowledge since he started attending the facility. ALL of the employees are extremely polite, attentive to the children, and you can tell they keep good communication between themselves and the parents. I would recommend this facility to my closest of friends and their rates are completely reasonable. read more

Northshore learning tree is AWESOME. Last year at 3, my son went to preschool. That was his first time spending time with anyone other than family. Ms. Jennifer and Ms. Sarah welcomed him with open arms and made his transition to school EXTREMELY POSITIVE. They treat him and every other kid as if they were their own children. They know how to help with parenting skills and also know how to manage and control a classroom, all while making it fun. My son LOVES school and it's all because of them. Ms. Ann is lovely too. She organizes everything for the business and is very flexible and understanding. Ms. Patty and Ms. Chris are awesome too. They are usually the ones to greet or say goodbye and they both do it with a loving smile. Ms. Christina and Ms. Kasi are super nice and always have something fun for the kids to do. Their warm hearts are felt from the moment you walk into their classrooms. I cannot say enough good things about this place! My son has grown so much in all different areas of competencies. He comes home singing songs, blurting out new information he's learned, and is just generally smiling ear to ear because of THIS SCHOOL. WE LOVE NORTHSHORE AND YOU WILL TOO! read more

I am giving two stars just because my kid was there for almost a year. And was very close and comvinient, and also a couple o lof people that I like there. I would to say that this place is amazing, but no really. There are other places in the area where the personel it's very very nice. No body can just dump a kid from a daycare just because the kid is not listening at all. But, I have talked to some other people about kids behaviors. There is always a reason that a kids behaves bad. It could be many seasons. And it's not just the kids, it always starts somewhere else. my kid was was expelled for two days that she behaved bad. And no chance to go back. Just throwed out like trash. Without warning or, even thinking that kids gets very atatch to their teachers. My, is may be not perfect but always asking for the teachers. And crying for some of the classmates. Emotionally hurts, I found a good beauty place where she is being treated as human and learning a lot and also less money. But the money it's not the case. The issue here it's the humiliation and not thinking about it she has been hurt by never seeing her teachers again. There are a few people in this world that knows how to treat kids. And good luck everyone in this place. If someone wants to know the other better place, let me Know. It is safer, has a big cleaned beautiful playground. And the kids learns manners, respect each other and the 4 years old are already reading. read more

My three year old son has been attending this place for about two months now. He is always excited to go to school. If he could go on the weekend he would be down to go. The teachers are perfect and he is learning a lot. Also, with him being an only child, he is socially excelling. I appreciate the staff here who are always so nice. read more

I can't say enough how wonderful this place is!! My son is 3 1/2 and hasn't left my side since he was born. So you can imagine how hard it was for him to leave me and vice versa. But I have to tell you the teachers especially Miss Sarah was amazing. He did cry for the first couple weeks and I'm happy to say he now absolutely loves his school. He has friends they have music time, they paint, play With Plato, and sand a lot of things to keep them busy! My grandson attended this preschool until August when he started kindergarten. He had the best preschool experience here! He learned SO much here and is ahead of most of the kids in his kindergarten class!! He bonded with many of the teachers and other staff. Started looking for other preschool options after having a horrible experience at Children's Discovery Adventure. Our son who was so excited about preschool had a horrible 1st week at the Children's Discovery Adventure that he now feared schooling in all. We walked into Northshore and was immediately greeted and felt like home and knew this was it! He's been going here for 2 years and love it!! Our nephew also goes here and our soon to be 3 year old will be joining this year as well! read more

We LOVE Northshore! My son is always excited to go to school in the mornings.. He has been going there for 7 Months now, and he Just transitioned to the preschool "Big Kid" side! He Is loving the challenge and is doing well with ABCs and Numbers! Everyone is always so friendly, Saying hi and how are you! My son gets lots of hugs and high fives. I cannot say enough for them! I wish I could leave a better review for this center but I can't. They treated me and my son poorly. He didn't want to nap at an early age and that frustrated his teachers. At one point, my 4 y.o. son told me that one teacher called him stupid. Children that age don't lie. I told the director about it and she brushed it off like she didn't care. I always found her to be cold and unfriendly. We left after she threw her hands up in the air and embarrassed my husband by publicly announcing, "I just don't know that we can handle your son!" We then found a school that took him in with love and understanding. He settled in and thrived in the new environment. He is a strong willed boy and as it turns out he has a mild case of ADHD, but treating him poorly just made things worse. On the other hand, I would say it was better than some other "child factory" (CLAdventure) places we had been. Just not very tolerant, kind or professional. read more

My son started going to Northshore learning tree last year after school on days that me and my husband worked he loves it there but the lady that works at the front desk Ms. Pam has always been rude to me and my husband for some reason we let it go because our son did like going. Well with work slowing down we only need to take him there when school is out and the last time he went there was over the summer over winter break we had a babysitter lined up that had something come up and we needed to take our son the next week to northshore on Monday and tuesday So I called Northshore and spoke with the owner Ms. Ann I told her who I was and that Gabriel had not gone there since summer she explained to me it was no problem I asked if I needed to come down now and she said no worries just bring him Monday and it would be 32.00 per day. Monday morning comes around and me and my husband are on our way to work so we take Gabe to northshore complete with a check for 64.00 to cover the two days I walk in and tell Ms.Pam how excited Gabriel is to see his favorite teacher and that we haven't been there since summer so the sign in probally wouldn't work she grabbed the file and said our big kid class is full. I said I spoke to someone the week before and they said I could bring him in and she said who ann?! I said yes Ms.Ann. she said she would squeeze our son she asked how many days and I told her she said there is a registration fee and it would be 120.00 right now I let her know that Ann did not tell us of this and we only planned to pay the 64.00 and asked if I could pay on Wednesday which was just two days later and she said no. My husband said out loud he was going to have to call I'm to work and she said your calling into your job? And he said yes we have no choice and she didn't say a word. I had to call into work that day and our son was upset with how rude they were and we were as well. I tried to call Ms.Ann for days but she was always busy and they wouldn't take my info to have her call me back. I called this morning and was able to reach her she was aware of the situation and said that we did not have the money for the days and that they would of let us pay registration later but they needed the money for the days o assured her that I had the money just not for the registration fees that I did not know about she never apologized just said she understands why I was upset and that other people don't pay so sometimes those people ruin it for everyone. We will not be back. I can't belive how rude they were to us and that it's treated like it's ok. read more

My son went to northshore for almost three years and it was the best experience of all time. He went from 2.5-5 and I honestly can't say a bad thing! The teachers are amazing, the curriculum set him up to be doing amazing in kindergarten, and it's just an all around good place for children. My son had Mrs Jennifer and Mrs Christina and they were both phenomenal! The staff is very reasonable and they make you feel like family. It is privately owned so you have a one on one experience with everyone from the teachers to the owner which made me feel at home. You don't have to worry about the big corporations that pay minimum wages and hire just about anyone. The owner takes time to select a good staff that works well with the children. If they had kindergarten I would still be there! I recommend this school to everyone and many of my friends still have children there!! I have some of my sons best memories at this school and I owe that to the amazing staff! HIGHLY RECOMMEND NORTHSHORE!!!! read more
