Love the location - right across from my home! Nothing bad here and food is well executed, but it seems like the concept is still undecided. I would like to see this place be more deliberate with a menu concept and own it. There is nothing on the menu that can't be found at most places around town. Still a fan - staff is friendly and accommodating, food is fine, drinks are cold. Happy hour offerings are not exciting - $2 off beers, $4 wines, etc. read more

Tonight I dined with my two boys, 4 and 1. Our waiter, Mike and hostess, Savannah were exceptionally kind and compassionate to our family and demonstrated exceptional customer service, going above and beyond to make our dinner pleasant and help me. My boys are the only kids in America who don't like French fries and they offered a variety of substitute sides for the side on the kids' menu. Mike helped the boys into their coats and helped pack my belongings andSavannah helped get us extra napkins, water and boxes. They really went above and beyond. The food was fantastic and fast. My BF and I came here for our date night. I live a few blocks away and was eager to try a new neighborhood establishment, particularly after reading the favorable reviews and after a local real estate agent mentioned it to us. Unfortunately, we were sorely disappointed. Mediocre food for quite a hit in the pocketbook. The meatloaf tasted good enough but was smothered in enough tomato sauce to drown it. The mashed potatoes and green beans could have been cooked by just about anyone. No garlic flavor to the green beans despite how they were advertised. My BF got the blackened catfish which again was decent but with the same boring sides as I had received. The poutine appetizer was pretty salty. The only saving grace was the my wine selection...sauv blanc from NZ and the interior is well laid out and service was pretty on point. We won't be going back if we're looking for a well done dinner for two for $70. read more

Tried Northside 10 for the first time tonight. What a great place! The bar was very well stocked and the menu had something for everyone. They specialize in Southern food, especially Louisiana dishes. I had the Jambalaya pasta, which was loaded with shrimp, sausage, and chicken in a delicious white cream sauce. What a find! Went here with work colleagues the other night. Had very good beers and burgers - bargain priced on a weeknight before 7 pm. We are fans of Southside 815, and have been looking forward to the opening for awhile now and have not been disappointed. Even after only being open for about 3 weeks they seem to have everything together. Food was good, my teen loved her short rib poutine which she had as her dinner, and I really liked the ribs. Ordered 60 wings for a super bowl party and everyone loved them. Great, casual addition to the neighborhood. Good for families and adults - can be a little loud in the dining room but that was also because it was packed. read more

Southside is so much better. The same shredded pork sandwich had a sauce that didn't taste very good and the fries were hard and over cooked. We ordered blackened salmon and got mahimahi which was okay but the rest of the salad and dressing were bland. read more

I don't normally post reviews but this place really has become a family favorite even though they've only been open about a year and a half. My parents request to go there for the Bloody Mary's (with the house made mix), Key Lime Pie, and the Sangria which is also a favorite of mine. My kids love that you can get the fried chicken, which is so good, with pasta instead of french fries. It's where they want to go when we offer a restaurant option on a casual week night or for a special birthday dinner. I'm a fan of the Rue Burger though the pulled chicken sandwich is also good. The place has a very neighborhood feel, I think in part due to low staff turn over, so you see the same faces and they ask how you are and truly seem to mean it. Plenty of parking just off of route one makes is a convenient stop even if it isn't around much else. read more

I have enjoyed Northside 10 when I have dined in, and I especially appreciate their patio. The service in the restaurant is fine, and the food is good if a little pedestrian (they don't adjust their menu seasonally, and it has been the same for a few years now). I do not recommend Northside 10 for carryout or Uber Eats. I would estimate that every second or third order is wrong. Examples: When I ask for "no onions," I get tons of onions. If my meal comes with cornbread, the cornbread is missing. The key lime pie I treated myself to was the texture of dry paste and had clearly turned. In my most recent order, they gave me the wrong salad. One time I got no chicken on my salad, so they sent the manager to my house to deliver it. That's nice, I guess? But, couldn't they just check their orders before the send them out? They are always pleasant when I have called to complain, but it's been more than a year of this, and it never gets any better. I even wonder if they aren't doing it on purpose, as some sort of employee joke to get a rise out of a regular customer. That would almost be better, because it would mean that they are capable of getting carryout orders correct. But I don't think they are, and because this has gone on for so long, I don't think they care. read more

Wonderful neighborhood bar and restaurant! Staff is so sweet and attentive, management is appreciative and kind, drinks are good, food is good- what more could you ask for? It's the perfect spot for a quick and classic happy hour or a casual night out. The food was really good- simple, classic American bar food with a little flare. You can tell the kitchen staff includes actual chefs and not just cooks. The food is fresh, cooked perfectly and seasoned well. I was with a party of 15 and not one of us had a complaint about our food, drink or service! In fact we all raved about it!! Very nice on the inside! We went at 6:30 on a Friday night and there was a 20 minute wait. However, quickly got a seat at the bar so we just ate there instead. My friend and I went to Northside 10 for lunch. Our first time there. We had the Grilled Chicken Marsala salad and the Carolina Pulled Pork sandwich. We hosted our association's happy hour here and Northside did a GREAT job accommodating our group of 25. We got a private room at no charge away from the packed Friday happy hour bar. Our server, Mike, was on point the whole evening. The starters we ordered were yummy enough to go back for seconds on the wings and nachos! great addition to the neighborhood! pros: lots of fab, diverse & somewhat unusual (in a very good, well edited way). impressively friendly, helpful wait staff, generous portions, & delicious food. facility was clean, casual, with folks of all ages & arrangements. only one con: noise factor is off the chart LOUD. the bar area is outrageous; the dining room is better but acoustics were not well planned for so the spill from the bar intrudes on conversation....not enough to discourage my return (i can't wait to explore the menu further) but unpleasant enough to mention so that you can plan ahead. in other words, maybe not the best place for your "i think we should take a break for a while" conversation. read more

We want to see this place succeed! As one of the closest places to our house, being there regularly is the plan. For the less than two weeks they were open when we went, things were going pretty well. The improvements made to the building (kitchen, ceilings, restrooms) had been needed for a long time. The bar appears to be humming along most evenings, and our drinks and meal were tasty. However - the decor in the dining room is a bit on the chilly side. Though there is cool looking lighting hanging from the newly opened up ceiling, the rest of the decor looks more Texas than anything else. The booths in the back look kinda gloomy, in fact. While we were there, a couple came in who couldn't see in the comfortably lowered lighting...so they cranked the WHOLE ROOM way up to help them, ruining the mood elsewhere. They should consider getting some cute lanterns to take to a table to accommodate situations like this one without wrecking the mood of the whole room! The manager was nice and kind about it, he just didn't have a solution in mind. This is the small stuff a new place can get ironed out with the new clientele...we're counting on it! read more
