Every member of the staff I encountered treated me with kindness, professionalism, and genuine concern. My room was spacious, comfortable, and exceptionally clean. The Environmental Services staff did an outstanding job keeping everything spotless. On the first morning of my stay, my wife immediately commented on how clean the room looked--something she had never said during any previous hospital stay. The staff thoroughly cleaned and dusted the room, mopped the floor, and even changed the trash bag even though it was barely full. Their attention to detail did not go unnoticed. I also noticed a small device under the sink that I later learned was a Synexis air purification system. It operates so quietly that I never heard it, but I was impressed to learn that it continuously helps improve air and surface quality by generating a safe form of hydrogen peroxide. It was reassuring to see Northside Hospital Cherokee investing in technology that helps protect patients from the spread of germs. The food service exceeded my expectations. There was a wide variety of menu choices, the meals arrived on schedule, the portions were generous, the food was served at the proper temperature, and every meal was exactly what I ordered. Hospital food often gets a bad reputation, but that certainly wasn't my experience here. My discharge process was one of the smoothest I've ever experienced. Nurse Brenda made sure my wife and I had everything packed so nothing was left behind. She asked my wife to bring the car around to the entrance, and within just a couple of minutes I was on my way home. The entire process was efficient, organized, and stress-free. The highlight of my stay, however, was the nursing staff. Their compassion, professionalism, and positive attitudes made all the difference. Brenda and Elizabeth cared for me during the day, while Nancy and another night-shift nurse--whose name I unfortunately cannot remember--provided excellent care overnight. Every one of them treated me with respect and kindness, and they always seemed to have a smile on their face. They should be highly commended for their dedication to their patients. If I ever need hospital care again and have a choice, Northside Hospital Cherokee will be my first choice without hesitation. Thank you to everyone who made my stay such a positive experience. It was a hard five days in the hospital, but the staff did everything they could to take care of both of us. Tuesday after the holiday, a doctor was assigned to us and the testing started. The doctor that was assigned to my wife was very knowledgeable and ordered test after test and scan after scan. Everything came back normal, but one test showed something that eventually became a the root cause. I grew up with a sickly mother and I know bad healthcare when I see it and this hospital was nothing but caring and compassionate throughout the entire 6-day ordeal. Several of the nurses were exemplary and the doctor was just super. We could not have asked for a better experience given the unpleasant circumstances. If I could give more than 5 stars, I certainly would.

It didn't matter, we still waiting for them "to have beds available" for like an hour!!! I'd hate for someone to have a heart attack or anything serious going on. After we finally got a room, it wasn't private and honestly I was so thirsty but didn't think to ask for anything especially as after they gave me the tiniest cup up water after being there for 4+ hours to swallow my pill for which I never knew why exactly I was taking it until the nurse informed me of an infection the doctor hadn't told me I had yet. The water was so bad tasting!!! Although the staff are sweet, the phlebotomist is like a sergeant and not at all caring or approachable. Honestly, it's like everyone working there is so excited to finish up their shifts they forget you! On top of it, it's soooooo dirty with pee all over the bathroom floor stinking so bad and with there being needles just randomly on the floor, at least one in our room, trash on the floor, and our phlebotomist went to take my blood even though his glove had ripped exposing his dirty hands!!! From the facility itself to the doctors, nurses, and support staff, everything felt well-run, professional, and genuinely focused on patient care. In Gwinnett County, I honestly don't think it gets much better than Emory Johns Creek. I came to the ER with appendicitis, and Dr. Curtis took care of me with precision, confidence, and great attention to my care. I'm especially grateful for the nurses who looked after me, including Rose and Dorothy, as well as all of the other nurses and staff members who treated me with professionalism and kindness throughout my stay. A helpful tip if you ever have to visit the ER: Sunday morning was surprisingly reasonable. We were checked in, evaluated, and seen relatively quickly, and the entire process felt organized and professional. Of course, ER wait times can vary, but our experience was excellent. Even the little things stood out. Parking was easy, the facility was clean and comfortable, and the food was surprisingly healthy and complete for hospital food. There was no monitoring throughout the night - only taken during triage, once before discharge... SERIOUSLY??!! Fire someone in the 180's - 200's, one would absolutely expect consistent monitoring, via machine or human. They hung a saline bag, never used. I actually had to advocate on her behalf to keep them from unnecessary blood draws. We will most certainly be examining the bill, once it arrives!! At the slightest hint that they realized I was not going to let them run unnecessarily tests on her, they backed off and quickly discharged her. This is definitely not a hospital I would recommend for anyone with any high blood pressure or cardiac conditions! Am I doctor, no. Have I cared for ailing parents and experienced this type of bill padding - YES!
