We went here in the morning for breakfast. The place was packed. We had donuts. I had the chocolate donut with chocolate icing and chocolate chips on top, it was very good. My husband had a red velvet donut that was really moist and good. He also had an Oreo donut that was dry. I also ordered a chai tea latte. It was at the best lukewarm. HOLY DONUTS. We were headed to Grand Junction, CO from the Denver airport and asked our family we were going to visit if there were any must-stop at places along our 4 hours drive and they said we HAD to stop here and get some donuts ... and now I see why. They also said to have a Benderz burger but I didn't realize until after we had eaten that the burger place was attached to the other side of Northside, I thought it was all the same menu. So we missed out on the burgers but we will know for next time! I ended up getting the turkey BLT and my husband has the Reuben. Both really good choices, everything tasted really fresh and good portion size! The service there was great also. I popped over to the bakery counter to grab some donuts to take with us and there were so many crazy choices I didn't even know where to start. I ended up picking 8 and for the price they said I should go ahead and just get a dozen (it was about $10 for 8 and $16 for a dozen) so I had the girl helping me just pick the last 4 because there were too many options and I couldn't decide! We ended up with a few regular glazed (that tasted just like a funnel cake, omg) and a bunch of different cake donuts. From red velvet, to regular cake with a ton of different toppings on them. I ate one of the glazed on the way to GJ and then we managed to eat all of the rest within a day's time (there were only 4 of us and my husband isn't even a big donut guy. Weirdo, I know.) so that shows you how good they were. I really wanted to stop here on our way back to the airport but had to refrain from doing so. But we will 100% stop here on all of our future trips to the area. Our family said they never miss stopping here anytime they're traveling from Grand Junction because it's such a favorite! There's also a donut happy hour where you get 2 for the price of 1 for a few hours each day so you local people should get over there and take advantage of that legit deal! read more

I have heard that this place is popular and was in the area, so we tried it...expecting good things. The coffee is OK, not great, but I would much rather have a regular sized cup with a couple of hot refills than a huge cup that is cold by the end of the meal. I had a Turkey BLT, and it was OK, nothing special. The fries were good. The prices were a lot higher than I expected. The service was pretty bad. The waitress was pleasant, sort of, but everything was soooo sloooow. She really didn't seem to care about us one way or the other. And, they just weren't that crowded. I live nearby, and this is not a place I'd go back to. Maybe we should have just gotten a doughnut and forgotten about getting a meal! read more

Good eggs Benedict and a great selection of pastries and doughnuts. We were on our way out of town and stopped into this place. You order at the counter and then they call your name when your food is ready and you go and pick it up. Kind of Deli style ordering. They have TV's if you're looking to catch a game. My husband and I had a fantastic experience at the Northside Kitchen last night. We were warmly welcomed by Steve when we came through the front door. He later helped us with our wine selection, Papillon. He followed up a few times to make sure it was to our liking. Zeke was our server. He came immediately to our table, even though the restaurant appeared to be at maximum capacity. He suggested a few selections which we ordered, Alfredo fettuccine with short ribs and Angus beef. The meals were exceptional. Zeke came to the table to let us know the meals were in, checked if we were doing well and returned to give us a status updates on our dinner. He also stayed by the table to make sure my beef was cooked to my liking. We split the chocolate cake for dessert and had leftovers for today. I would return to Avon again, just to experience the welcome, service, food and door to door satisfaction. Thank you Steve and Zeke! read more

We go here all the time and the management is very nice and fast to get our food. I love that the owner comes out to check on you stop for a small chat and then off to check on the other tables. It does get a little packed because so many people go there and there is sometimes not enough seating, but if you get a seat it's great. They have a burger joint on the other side which makes fresh burgers and you can see them cook it which is nice.At dinner the place turns fancy and you usually need a reservation so call ahead!! :) Good ahi sandwich and burgers! read more

We attacked the triple cheeseburger and were delighted with the taste and quality. Go for the sautéed onions and mushrooms to kick it up! Great burger - great value! Visiting from L.A., I found GOOD casual dining options to be limited in Vail/Beaver Creek, so I was thrilled to stumble upon this great little restaurant. The vibe is hip, but super family friendly, and the food is fit for foodies. The veggies on the burger were cool and fresh, giving nice contrast to the warm burger and toasted brioche. The salads are ginormous and tasty! The Gringo b'fast burrito is heaven. There were many interesting options; wish we had more time to try them. We ate at Northside three times in two days! I came here expecting (from reviews I've read and heard) a quick and delicious breakfast. Instead, it took me two hours to get in and out of the door. Several tables around me got their food far faster than I did, and my server hardly checked in and never apologized for the wait. The floor was visibly dirty. The food was still good, but not great. I was thoroughly disappointed and don't plan on going back unless I hear that they've stepped up their game in terms of service and cleanliness. Took my family for dinner. All dishes where overpriced for what you get. Ordered tomato soup which had too much pepper and salt. Clearly a cook that has no clue what he is doing. My wife's Cesar salad had too much Parmesan and even had tomatoes. When was the last time you had a Cesar salad with tomatoes? My filet mignon was undercooked while McDonalds serves better chicken fingers to kids. My other daughter had the spaghetti and meatballs from the kids menu. The spaghetti were undercooked, meatballs were dry and the spaghetti came with Parmesan cheese on top. Ever had spaghetti and meatballs on a kids menus with cheese??? The desert was also joke. Tiramisu and mouse tasted like they came out of the freezer, where I believe they came from. If you like expensive but cheap food that probably someone cooked that barely knows how to cook, this is your place. We payed $120 for this dinner and it was probably one of the worst dinners I have ever had. The service was courteous, so I have to give them that. My recommendation: Fire the cook!! read more
