Northwest Grace moved me last weekend and they were a life saver! I completely under-estimated the amount of stuff I had and the time it would take to pack it and move it. I thought it was simple to just move from one apartment to another (within town). I felt bad because I wasn't the most organized or prepared leading up to this move. Summertime is a busy time for me. These guys are great! We mostly dealt with Matt & Ian, but two other men helped get the truck packed - all very gracious to my 90-year-old mother-in-law who was very stressed out about the move, which was chaotic. (They are very understanding to Seniors having to move) Because many of the boxes were not ready to go, they loaded all of the furniture, and gave her/us an extra 4-hours to finish packing. They came back and loaded everything that was ready to go. (We had to leave some unpacked kitchen equipment, but it will be shipped later.) The delivery to San Jose went well - these guys are pros and there was no damage to anything - smooth transition. They made a hard move easy. read more

They where amazing fast and very respectful of my thing. The night before my move it rained and made thing more difficult but they handled it perfectly. Had two flights of stairs and they worked so hard to get the move done as fast as possible. If I ever move again they will be the first and only company I call in Oregon. I used Northwest Grace Moving on May 4th 2010. I was moving on a Tuesday and my friends were working so I decided to look on craigslist for some moving help. I was worried about this a bit as I have had stuff stolen in the past or broken from other companies and it seems that friends just are not that careful either. To be honest.. I am not that careful :) These guys were on time, actually early, they did the job in the time allotted and even brought things out that I was selling to other people off of craigslist and loaded them in the trucks of my buyers. I was not smart in having different people come to buy a fridge, washer and dryer, and two steel and concrete tables come at 12:00. They had to stop what they were doing and move all of that out, 6 floors up via elevator to accommodate. then they still had to pack my U-Haul for the trip. Their attitude was superb, they were very efficient, I did not have one item broken when I arrived to Chicago and my truck was only at half a load. That is some great packing to not have any of it shift. Especially under the horrible weather and wind we had the entire drive. I had to make an account for yelp to review this. I never review online but they were just worth it and I want them to succeed. They deserve it and are worth every cent of their fee. In fact I gave more. read more

Amazing service. My moving crew arrived 15 minutes ahead of schedule, assessed my situation and got to work immediately. They were fast, efficient and extremely careful. They had the truck loaded properly in less than 2 hours and drove straight to my new home and began unloading immediately. They took boxes to the exact rooms I designated, set up furniture where I wanted it without back talk. They even loaded my plants into my car and unloaded them as well. After 1.75 hours they finally took a minute to breathe. After the movers left, I realized I could not find the screws to attach the mirror to my dresser, they had fallen from the drawer when the dresser was turned on it's side to fit up a staircase. The movers turned around and returned to my home, turned my dresser upside down to get the screws to fall out and attached my mirror, with a smile on their faces!! Very professional, polite and pleasant to work with. Moving is stressful and they made it so much easier. I have moved over 50 times in my life and I can say without a doubt, the best movers I have ever uses...and the only ones I will ever use in the future. read more

Seems like every time I call in my friends to help me move, things get broken, banged up, dented, walls take a toll, and I'm tired and sore. So I decided that I was going to call in the professionals this time. What a genius decision that was. So I didn't want to hire just any company. I spent a lot of time on-line doing research on different companies. There are a lot of substandard movers out there. If you do your research, you will find that there are a lot of companies out there that you just shouldn't use for one reason or another. So after spending quite a bit of time researching, I decided to give my business to NW Grace. You know, I'm not particularly religious myself, but the fact that this outfit is Christian based helped me decide on them. When I called to talk about my upcoming move, I talked to Lisa. Turns out she's the wife of the husband/wife ownership. Very nice and easy to work with. When these folks say they'll call you back...they do. When they say they'll be at your place at this time...they're there. Moving day came and the husband of the ownership team, Matt, and one of his employees are at my place at 9:30 sharp. These guys were fast, they were efficient, they were great in every way. At the end of the move, not one ding, dent, nothing. Everything ended the day in the same condition it began. Matt and his employee took a couple dings, but none of my belongings did. I should mention this now. I have a son that is nearly nine. I don't swear in front of him and don't care to have others do so either. These guys were great. Even when they banged up their fingers, got a sliver in their hand, and took a staple puncture in their hand...no bad words left their mouth. They were great to have around my family. So the move was over and it was time to settle the bill. Wow. They gave me an awful lot of effort for what they charged. While I was writing that check I was sorry that I had ever moved any furniture myself. I can tell you I never will again. These guys were so good and so reasonable, I could never again justify making a move without calling on them. I highly recommend that you give this outfit a call. Having grown weary of the mere notion of moving companies, I braved a craigslist posting for NWGM and am all the better off for it. I contacted them for a relatively small job, received an immediate response, confirmed a rate and set a time and date. The two movers, Matt and Richard showed up on time, went immediately to work, and completed the job efficiently, carefully and without worry. From the initial consultation to the last box unloaded Matt and his team were incredibly professional and easy to work with. They went above and beyond in getting us packed up, even giving great tips on how to properly pack a box. Our items were handled with care every step of the way, and not a single item was broken or damaged at all, even through multiple unloadings and reloadings while we had our items in storage for about a month, as well as a thousand mile drive to our new location.
