Went there to look at a bike that i liked. Made the deal on the price and the monthly payment. Everything was going well. Then they hit me with $4000 in extras. Stuff i would never use mixed in with GAP. If you wanted gap, you had to buy the extras. I will never purchase from Northwest Harley ever again. People were great, but the add ons that you have to buy to get Gap is horrible. To answer your question, yes i told them i just wanted gap and they told me i had to buy the lowest tier package to get it. Also, fun fact, small print to their "Powertrain Warranty at no cost to you" You have to bring your bike to them every 2500 miles to have it inspected by them at $300+ each time. Or it voids the warranty. You also need to have them do ALL work done by their shop. So a 17k bike ended up costing me 23k due to accessive add-ons that arent optional. Never again. read more

Instead of asking basic questions or actually helping him structure a reasonable deal, you loaded him up with predatory loan terms that never should have happened. Nearly 20% interest over several years, adding up to around $10,000 in interest -- what the actual hell? Had anyone taken five minutes to ask questions, he could have put more money down and drastically lowered the payment and interest. Instead, you let him walk out with financing that benefits you, not the customer. A Sportster/Nightster Special should not end up costing over $20,000. That's absurd. That's not "Harley pricing," that's either incompetence or willful exploitation -- neither of which is acceptable. This isn't how you treat people who are excited, loyal, and trusting enough to buy a Harley. If you're a dealership that relies on confusing financing and silence instead of transparency and honesty, people deserve to know before they walk through your doors. So just called Northwest Harley Davidson where I bought my 03' Road King a couple years back to schedule a service (speedometer not working and I wanted an oil change as well) and was told by service department that "because it's the 'busy season' we aren't working on anything older than an 2004' right now". You just lost a customer FOREVER. I've bought two motorbikes from this dealership. Clearly you no longer value me as a customer. UPDATE: Re response below. It literally took me (an amateur) about ten minutes of research to figure out its one of two sensors. As far as ordering parts, that's really a poor excuse. Instead of just dismissing someone on the phone because it's "busy season", you could educate your employees that a bike might have to be held for a while and let the customer make the decision instead of merely stating "it's our policy" not to work on older bikes. A customer is a customer. As far as space, you have no issue storing bikes for deployed service folks or for customers during "winter months" and actively solicit customers to store their bikes with you during other seasons, the "space issue" is again a specious excuse. 2-8 weeks for parts? I found one in 30 seconds on the Internet. I'm not a Harley mechanic. The fact you even responded underscores my point that it's really just about the money and not the customer. AAAAAAND the excuses continue. "Trusted partners". Keep digging that hole deeper, Kyler. The truth is tearing its ugly head. You are damaging your business with each new excuse and attempting (but failing) to save face. Do you even have a clue that your "trusted partners" get their parts from the same manufacturer? They are just rebranded. A basic internet search would reveal this. And like a car part, you can get bad parts from any manufacturer. SO IF YOU HAVE READ ALL THIS BELOW... You may be asking, why 5 stars. This is why. Despite there being some miscommunication, timeline issues, and all that. I have a few thoughts to offer. 1. I take ownership that my frequent gaps of being out of town and spotty communication probably complicated some of this specifically to timelines. Though not their work. 2. Whatever was done wrong, or communicated wrong, they fixed. Not only did they fix it, but they went the extra mile with customer service to "make it right." even when I was probably not visibly the happiest customer. 3. They NEVER lost their cool or patience, were extremely professional with me. and the bottom line again THEY MADE IT RIGHT. NOT EVERY SHOP WOULD. So here is the scoop. I have since bought another bike form this shop. I couldn't complain about the service that Jennie and Tony provided during the purchase of the bike. About a year later I was installing a highway bar, pretty easy, four bolts. But me being a numbskull - I didn't even think twice at looking at the supplied bolts from the manufacturer and they were in fact corse threaded and not fine. Oops - that crud locked up faster than green grass through a goose. So I brought it to NWHD to have them back out the bolt, slap the right ones in, and while there replace my stock exhaust with a Cobra 2-1. So this is where the story gets messy - but stick with me and you will see why they still get five stars. They picked up my bike in the last week of April. I told them the scoop, they said no problem. During this time they were going through a lot of staffing changes. After a week I give them a call, and they said, "We might need to replace the frame." My immediate thought was pretty Tiger King "I'm never gonna financially recover from this." Time passed, I heard nothing - sat for two weeks worried about the price of a new frame. While I was out of state for a funeral I come to find out, oh no we didn't have to do that, just tap out the bolt. You can pick up your bike when you get home. So this is good, about a month later, but good. No harm no foul. Just a bit of anxiety - during an already anxious time. Well I get a call - and they informed me that I had a break in my rear pull and a baring had broke. They said, "Don't worry it is entirely covered by warranty." I was like "Cool, just need to let you know that I have a ride the second week in July that is about 2000 miles. I have hotels, campsites, etc. booked and tied into it." They assured me no problem. Just need to order the parts and you'll be ready to go. This was mid May. Well shoot if the parts didn't take forever. Not their fault on supply chain issues. I had talked to them during this time, and they finally got all the parts in and told me to pick up the bike on Thursday but to call first so they can pull it out of storage (the only day that week I could because of work) at this point it was late June. Thursday came and I call - and they say, oh hey I am very sorry I should have called you. While working on it we realized we had to order a part. The part will be here this weekend. Come back next week. I said well I'm out of town next week for work. That really only leave a few days I can get it before I split for my ride. We agree on a day. So on the day to pick up the bike, one week before my ride. I get there, the bike is clean - looking slick, loving the "b-side" of the bike. I look on the "a-side" and my stock exhaust are still on the bike. Let's repeat that. They forgot to put on the exhaust. It was one of the main reasons I dropped it off. Not the warrantee work. We talk, and work out a time to pick it back up. By this time because of work I had two days where I could get the bike before heading out on the trip. They apologize for some bad communication, and even knocked off some of the price of the repairs. All is good. They even gave me a ride home since I uber'ed over to pick it up. They even dropped the bike off. Looks good, nothing to notice. Take it for a ride, it sounds like duck farts after eating beans. It hadn't been tuned. Ride it over. Let them know, hey this hasn't been tuned. When I first dropped it off to have the exhaust put on I said it would need to be retuned. Dustin the service manager took the bike to get tuned. I picked up the screaming eagle kit, and the service was done gratis. Bike rides and sounds like a TOTAL MONSTER. The morning I was leaving I went to slap the saddle bags on to the quick detach (installed by NWHD when purchased) and the support arm doesn't reach the rubber vibration dampening puck. I am like, shit what now. They forgot to adjust the bracket. Stop over, talk to Dustin. Let him know when I would be back from my ride. They made it right - fixed the bracket no charge and service with a smile. read more

Who doesn't like a Harley Davidson shop? This one was was in Lacey and was no exception. I always look forward to pulling into a Harley shop in my travels. They are all different and this makes it fun. I did leave with a haul which a portion were souvenirs for friends. I got treated as well as though I was buying a hog. I got shown the whole collection of bikes. I always get comments and compliments on my Harley garb. A jacket will be hanging in my closet soon. So this is the last time I will ever come to this place. Mind you I did buy my 2018 Harley from here and every time I've brought it in for maintenance there has been a problem. The first time was late last year I brought it in and they wanted to charge me 800-900$ for just a checkup, and once I went over the bill with the service manager it was found out that the tech who was working on my bike didn't did half the stuff they tried to charge me for because it was his last day at that location. It was Father's Day weekend 2019 when this happened. So to start it all happened a bit earlier in the week. I had an appointment schedule for Saturday at 1pm, I called and they said if I can bring it down by Friday afternoon they can work it into the schedule and get it done earlier on Saturday, sounded good to me as I had a ride I was going on Sunday. So I trailer it down Thursday afternoon. I get a call Saturday from the service dept letting me know my battery was dead, I found that weird as it started up with no issues Thursday, they explained that it would be done around 4pm Saturday and that they would call when it was done. So even though I dropped it off super early they were going to still take their sweet time. Well 3pm rolled around no call, I call them they tell me they had to put it on the charger because the battery is still dead, unless I want to pay 200+ for a new battery, wont be done till later. So my son and I drive down to go pick it up, we get there about 5pm, well after they said it would be done, I go in to the service center, granted I will a bit irritated, they tell me its still not done, they are checking some last minute things and then taking it for a wash and test drive. I explained to them that it doesn't need to be washed and I'd like my bike back. At about 6pm, after sitting outside, I still do not have my bike, I go in to ask what is taking so long at this point I am pissed, the same lady tells me its on test drive and that they just finished washing it, after I asked them to not do so earlier. I raised my voice a bit when talking to the lady, that Toby the Sales/Service Manager decided it was his time to come out and shine. As I was going back outside Toby was yelling to me to watch myself and the language I was using. I went outside and sat on the bench Toby comes over and starts yelling at me, pointing his finger in my face and chest, talking down to me. I asked him to back off as he was too close, my son even asked him to back up as he was too close. Toby then gets closer to my face, I then stood up and asked him one last time to back up, he starts threatening me and saying they have cameras and that I will be arrested. I just walked away, at the same time my bike pulled up, Toby continued to yell at me calling me names, profanities, and even threatening me to bring some guys to my house. I'm glad my son was there because Toby would have been on the ground. As I am looking my bike over and getting ready to leave, Toby is still yelling at me. I turn my bike on and the ABS light came on and started blinking at me, which wasn't happening before I came to this place. At this point I feel unsafe if I was to take my bike back as they might sabotage it. So in conclusion Toby is super unprofessional, granted I wasn't an angel he was out of line in more ways then one. I don't recommend this place. read more

The staff from sales to service could not be more pleasant and helpful. two weeks ago I purchased the Wild Boar 600 amp and speaker kit. They installed the kit and sent me on my way. over the last two weeks i noticed at freeway speeds it just wasn't right, hard to here and understand. I brought it back today and explained the situation to the service staff and they were all over it. They hooked the bike up to a computer that tweaked the settings inside radio making it work as intended with the new amp and speakers. Now it Rocks I can hear just fine at freeway speeds and it sounds Damn Good! No charge, No hassle, and No wait. Thank You Jimmy,James, and Reggie! you rock and now i do too! read more

Horrible service dept. Took 30 days for them to fix my bike only a month after I bought it. 900 miles later, broken bolt in same area they fixed. Took 33 days this time!!! & I had an extended warranty which I should have only paid $50 1st visit & should hv been waived 2nd visit. NW charged me $177 1st visit & $300 2nd visit. I am new to the area. Spoke with a guy at the service desk about getting a bike shipped. He gave me info of company they use and told me I can use the dealership as my drop off point. Called the dealership to get a heads up that i received a time frame of when they will be there. I've never had a something large shipped nor shipped to somewhere not my house. The guy I dealt with over the was super rude telling me know one should have told me that. That if I'm not there they will not accept it. I was calling them just for that reason off the very small possibility I wasn't and what I need to do to give them the permission to sign. He continued to tell me they would never do that where as the guy in service was very polite and was more than willing to help. Maybe Harley needs to look further down the chain and wonder why they are doing so bad on their sales. In response to my phone call with the owner, he had told me they do not use the company uhaul bikes any more and would never recommend the company. Said the company was not reliable. He continued on to tell me that maybe they use to but things have changed. 1. I was was recommended only a few months ago 2. The owner said I would have been better off buying a trailer, using it to transport my bike, then sell it at my destination. 3.A uhaul bike tractor trailer was there on Sunday March 15th, 2020. Only two business days ago After talking with the owner I decided to call the driver that is shipping my bike. Told him what was going on and he began to laugh. He has been to this dealership multiple times in the last few months. Although this is a bad review for Northwest Harley, I will say Haul bikes has been a great company to deal with. The store has good signs off of I-5, but is hard to find once off the freeway. Once inside the store, I was greeted promptly by the service counter employee. I did not receive any help when I started browsing the bike floor area, though. When I approached someone, he seemed in a hurry. I was given a catalog and told to give him a call. I wanted to say thank you to the marketing manager who helped me last week. I've been making purchases for my bike and had accumulated a 4000 reward points. I printed them out not realizing they expire in 30 days once printed. I figured it out last week while looking for my points. I called the dealership to see if they could reinstate the points. I figured they would say no because it clearly says they expire if not used in 30 days once printed. To my surprise they re-added the points. Its a small gesture on their part but was huge for me. Customer service is something I really appreciate. The little things matter a lot to me and can earn my loyalty as a customer.
