I don't know how or why he came to that conclusion in our brief phone conversation, but I told him I wasn't looking for the "cheapest", I was looking for the best solution. He scheduled a visit and did some measurements and we discussed possible options. I also let him know I was interested in kitchen redesign so that I could have a bigger fridge but he didn't seem interested and just went back to the powder room. When he was done, he said it would take about two weeks for a quote but I may need to reach out to him again. I asked if he had a card and he said no, then left. That was on June 11 and now it's July 28. If a business wants my business, they would send a quote. Maybe my little job isn't worth their time because business is booming, who knows. When your gut tells you they aren't interested, listen to your gut.

On the first day of the project, I had a few concerns, and Dmytro came out right away to address them. He took the time to explain everything, and I immediately felt confident we were in good hands. I reached out on Yelp for a project regarding cost to vault a ceiling of a potential house I was considering to buy. Someone on the team said that they could come at 11am for a site visit. I asked once again on Yelp to confirm they were coming. I had heard that I would need advice from a structural engineer, and they said yes. Then, I called them directly again, to verify if the manager would be able to speak on the structural feasibility of the project. After calling the manager's number provided by the receptionist multiple times, there was no answer - maybe he was on the job. However, when my husband called AD Master again, he was able to reach someone and when he asked about the site visit, they said they didn't have our appointment on the books. We had to schedule once again on the phone. Long story short, someone did come (at 10am, not the agreed time) and they thought they were there for a deck repair. To be honest, he just seemed uncomfortable to have showed up to the wrong job site and didn't contribute much - no estimate of cost or work was shared by him. I liked the quality of work I saw on the photos, but would not likely hire them due to the poor communication so far. Edit response to AD Master: After speaking with your customer service agent, Viky, she shared that many of your employees do not speak English as a first language, causing the miscommunications. I am glad you are taking this seriously moving forward to improve the experience for future customers. As a result, I will raise my review to 3 stars. We contacted Chermak when our bathrooms were destroyed during a massive water leak in our home and…read morewe were dealing with a huge insurance claim. We were initially recommended to a few contractors that specialized in restoration from leaks but started to feel uncomfortable with the process and like they were all trying to take advantage of us via the insurance claim. A neighborhood Facebook group pointed us to Chermak with consistent reports of them having great service, but also a fair price and staying on time and on budget. I was quickly connected to Angel the project manager and she was able to come out to our house that week for an inspection. She immediately built trust with us and showed a genuine care for wanting to get us back into our home (we had been out already for 3 months). We trusted our gut and quickly got to work with Angel and Chermak and getting the ball rolling on the scope of work to be done and approved by our insurance company. And to risk the obvious pun here, Angel was an Angel, there's no way this would have gone how it did without her, for all that she manages and does she's very efficient and good at her job and really absorbs a lot of the stress and difficulty that is common to this kind of work. She also was very reasonable with us in not upselling, offering suggestions where things could be easier or money better spent, which helped with our trust. Fast forward to the working starting EARLY (which was a good thing) and not only completing on time but even a week EARLY than what was planned, so exciting for us. Kim from the design team helped us get our plans together for the bathrooms to achieve what we really wanted out of them and set the plans in place. Tyler was our GC for the 8 weeks of restoration and I selfishly don't want to tell everyone how good he is because then everyone will want him. We were concerned about having so many people in our home and around our stuff, but he so quickly made us feel comfortable and was adopted into the family. He also really listened to us and understood our wants, needs and particular requests as the bathrooms were constructed, he knew it was important to us things be done the right way and was willing to take the time to see it through. He's also just an all-around good dude and we miss having him here. I've given many referrals since our job wrapped to other prospective clients for Chermak and we intend to hire them again when it's time to remodel our kitchen. Our job was not without any issues but they were determined to do the right thing and see us be happy with the end result, which is a really great experience in this kind of arrangement.
