Short Review: Do not go with them! Horrible customer service, extremely rude, and incompetent. They represent everything that an unprofessional business is. Whole Experience with NW Shower Doors: NW Shower doors do not know the meaning of customer service. When I ordered my shower doors, I was told I would receive an estimated time of arrival the next day, though it never happened. After many phone calls to the store, inquiring about when they expect the shower doors to arrive, I was not told a straight answer, noting that they are unable to tell me because their vendor has not told them yet. (can you call to find out?) Three weeks later after the 5th call to the store, they stated it would be arriving perhaps within the next shipment but if not, a week later. This meant another round of phone tag seeing if it arrived before driving to pick it up. When I came to pick it up, they did not tell us that it would come unpackaged, with the glass exposed and no protection whatsoever. They told us we could dumpster dive for some spare cardboard in the back (which was full of big metal staples) in order to make sure it would arrive back to our home safely. I asked if we could use some of their packaging saran wrap. No. Also, no help with carrying out the doors to the back. We are very disappointed, spending about $1000 on shower doors. Been in the construction industry for years, and can't remember the last time I received such horrible customer service. Now we have to go to a local hardware company to purchase protection because of this crappy service. UPDATE: It turns out they decided to put the door opening for the left side, while we needed a right side opening. This mistake from them could have been prevented with a simple phone call to ask. No where on the invoice does it ask to specify this information, and NW Shower Doors should know their product enough to REALIZE that they need this information in order to make custom doors. Their solution was to send out an installer to have the shower doors flipped upside down, and think that no one would know. Flipping the doors upside down would have the mark on the glass in the middle at eyesight. It is unfair that I am paying FULL PRICE for doors that ARE INCORRECT. This describes their level of acceptance, which is very low, and THEY CANNOT CLAIM THAT THEY PROVIDE FIRST CLASS SERVICE. Aside from righting the situation, Michelle, the office manager, is extremely rude and condescending on the phone. She is very unhelpful and fails at customer service. She is the one who asked us to dumpster dive for the cardboard to protect the glass, and berated us over the phone. Dave, the owner of the business, is equally incompetent in the way he handled the situation. He apparently refuses to take responsibility for his employee's lack of training to be able to converse and obtain all the necessary information needed to deliver the correct product. In addition, it doesn't seem to bother him at all that he has a dissatisfied customer, and his solution is to flip the doors instead of providing the correct one. Therefore, this solution only benefits him, instead of what is right. It is apparent that his attention to detail is very low, so if you are thinking of hiring this company to do your showers, you can never know whether your product is how it is supposed to be. You can expect them to always cover their tracks, lie & cheat their customers. read more

Paid over $1800 for a shower door that took over 2 months to install. When they first sold me the shower door, it was promised to be installed in 4 weeks. After we signed the agreement and paid, they never scheduled our install. Every time we called, they had to "check" on production. The office staff was rude and just kept delaying our install date. Finally, install was to happen 7 weeks from the original purchase date. And even then, they couldn't get it right and had to come back a couple more times to get it installed. read more

Went to their store last Tuesday to inquire about a new shower door and installation. The lady that worked with us was nice enough, however she really didn't seem to be up to date about the shower doors we were considering. She did take our name and e-mail address and indicated she would have a starting estimate for us within 2-3 days. It's now 7 days later and we've received nothing. Disappointed. read more

I had a custom mirror installed by NW Shore Door when we remodeled our master bath. The mirror was very large with custom cuts to fit light fixtures. The mirror fit perfectly and the NW Shore Door installers did an excellent job. read more

NW Shower Door installed a frameless shower enclosure and a kitchen backsplash for us. The shower door is awesome; we've been enjoying it for months now and no problems with it anywhere - hinges are straight and true, finish is excellent. What's even better is that NW Shower Door was able to install the door we wanted even though a different company we had give a quote told us that we wouldn't be able to get a frameless door. Giving 4 stars instead of 5 simply because the installers didn't bring the right hardware for the backsplash glass twice in a row; not a big issue but we did have to have somebody at home for them 3 times instead of once. Overall very happy with the job though; great workmanship in the product and the install. read more

I liked the examples they had set up, and brought my contractor in to see if he agreed on the idea that I had. After getting the bid I had think about the bucket of money I was about to spend. I went back to see their models, then after seeing what the Big Box store had, I realized the quality difference that their custom made doors offered. After all, you only have to buy it once! Having the pros measure and install was worth the cost, and my just finished bathroom looks like a million bucks! ( I loved working with Toni, she is great.) Kudos to NW shower Door. they installed a semi-frameless shower door in my bathroom five years ago. I had some leakage problems and they came out twice [at no charge]. But over time the leaking came back. I spoke to someone there and he set up an appointment for the next day. He came out with a new solution that he installed. NO charge - even 5 years later. That is responsive service that is rare in this industry. read more

This company seemed to be the best in the area for glass shower enclosures. They were the only company that replied to a request for quote by email, but after the quote, the rest of the work fell short of expectations. The biggest issue is the gap between the door and the glass wall. The gap is about 5/16", and so water goes through that gap pretty easily. The installer told us, that it shouldn't leak, but it obviously does leak a lot. It's really surprising they did not provide a plastic u-channel strip for the door to cover that gap. In paying $1800 for a small 30x48 2-side enclosure, you would expect the finished product to not leak. A piece of that channel can be purchased for $20 on Amazon, and easily installed. Such a small inexpensive part should be included. So, I had to purchase the channel, and install it myself. Other feedback: They will warn you that a typical lead time is 2-3 weeks, but our job took 5 weeks from the measuring appointment to install completion. Their first attempt to install failed because one of the glass pieces was 2 inches too short. They did get a new piece cut within a week, but at the end of the day, we had to wait another week. One of the wall mounts (where the glass is held to the wall) is fairly crooked. Not square like the one below it. The silicon / caulking job was pretty messy. A lot of extra silicon was left on the sides of the shower pan, and the glass walls. Not a big deal to pull it off and clean up, but further evidence of a rushed install, with not a lot of attention to detail. It was also a bit annoying Installer left the project without cleaning up. He didn't clean the glass door or walls he installed, so fingerprints everywhere, and lots of dust and general pieces of little debris on the floor from drilling the walls, etc. He did leave us with a brand new can of glass cleaner, so that was nice. When we do our next bathroom, I will definitely be more diligent about shopping around, and if anyone asks me, I would not recommend NW Shower Door. read more

Northwest Shower Door installed a frameless glass shower enclosure in our home. The glass door was very bowed. They sent out the same installer to fix the problem. His solution was to insert two additional rubber gaskets between one hinge and the glass. When this was done, the door appeared less bowed but was still not straight. Furthermore, the hinge with the extra gaskets now looks wrong - the spacing is different from the other hinge and there is a visibly thick black edge of material showing at the edges of the hinge. When we told Northwest Shower Door that we weren't happy with their solution, the owner of the business came to our house. He told me that if they had the manufacturer re-temper the glass it might get scratched in transit; if they made a new door, there was a good chance it wouldn't come out any better the second time. Instead of taking responsibility for fixing the problem, he just kept asking what we wanted him to do. I said we wanted him to fix things in a way we were satisfied with. I left the room for a minute, and when I returned he had left without settling anything. I emailed the owner (Mr. Greer) expressing surprise that he left in the middle of our conversation. I asked whether he intended to do anything further to address the issues we had raised, but he never responded. Later, in response to an inquiry from our credit card company, he wrote "she told him he should solve the problem. Which he did, and then he left after the conversation." That is not what happened. Northwest Shower Door installed a faulty product and did not solve the problem in an acceptable manner. Mr. Greer exacerbated the situation by his rudeness, then offered an inaccurate account of what transpired. read more

I have never had a company work so hard and quickly to loose my business. Based on their website I thought Northwest Shower Door could help me to repair an existing installation. I was prepared to hear they might not be able to help me, but hoped they would at least provide good advice or a suggestion on who could help me. I went to this store and before I could even complete my inquiry I was interrupted to be told "No, we dont do that" I then finished my sentence, and was asked "Did we install it?". When I started to say I wasn't sure who installed it I was again interrupted to be told "Nope, we dont do that". This was just about the worst customer service I have ever received. I had other work (new installations) that I was going to talk to them about, but they lost my business. Terrible customer service. read more

I had high hopes from the reviews here, but I wasn't impressed with the service at NW Shower Door. I stopped into the shop twice, I got the impression that they only worked with customers or contractors who already knew exactly what they wanted, because having someone walk me through the options was like pulling teeth. But once I decided on what options would work for me, I remained optimistic about using a small pro shop instead of a big box-store option. The salesman who came out to do the measurements said no problem with my concerns about the integrity of my shower stall/reinforced walls, but the installer seemed to have concerns, but installed it anyway, so we'll see if it holds. The quality of the install seems good and solid, though if I'd been asked, I would have requested that the rails not extend inches above the shower door itself because it cheapens the look...but again, this was my first time going through this process so I didn't know what to ask for or expect. The biggest knock off for the stars was that my deposit was paid and I was told in a few days someone would contact me to schedule, 12 days later I contacted THEM to say I hadn't heard from anyone, and in the end it took 3 scheduled visits and 2 actual visits for the installation to be done, all of those were days in which I had to arrange to be home from work to meet the installers. The first scheduled visit I was called (at the time when they were supposed to be arriving at my home) to tell me a part hadn't come in, so we rescheduled. The second visit, they couldn't finish the job because the part STILL hadn't come in but they thought they'd be able to "rig it" to work...but couldn't. Given how much these things cost, I'd rather they be honest about the delay rather than provide "rigged" parts. The third visit worked out, but from paid deposit to completion was over a month, not the 2 weeks I was told. That was in part because I couldn't be available throughout the entire period for rescheduling, but again, I didn't know I'd need to be. The scheduler knew I was pretty annoyed and did apologize, but didn't offer to compensate me in any way for my time wasted staying home from work. That would have gone a long way to soothe my irritation. I'm mostly happy with my shower door in the end, but I was really hoping to be happy with the whole experience so I could count on them for the two bathroom projects we have coming up...but I will continue shopping around. read more

I had a horrible experience with Northwest Shower Door. I was fooled by the five star reviews. Their installers realized their panel was warped and defective part way through the installation. They removed everything and told me a new panel had to be ordered. I wasted a day of my leave because they failed to check their glass before bringing it to my house. Only one installer showed up for the next install date. He rushed through the install so I had to have another employee come back on a different day to fix his sloppy work. I then discovered what looked like a large crack on the shower door. Another employee visited my house and figured out a piece of broken glass was stuck to the door. He removed the glass with a razor. I wasted a lot of my time getting the door and panel installed properly. I was offered absolutely zero compensation for my troubles. In fact, I was billed for the door before it was properly installed. I would highly recommend shopping around. read more

The shower door they made was ultimately fine. But they were extremely unreliable to work with - basically told us whatever we wanted to hear about when it could be ready, then ignored it. We had to call repeatedly to get information, and they were unresponsive. It took much longer than what they said it would. And they could have cared less when we complained. We chose to install ourselves rather than have to deal with them further. TERRIBLE service. read more

Northwest Shower Door installed a frameless shower door in our home just under two years ago. It looks and performs great. Recently the shower door sweep began to show signs of wear and tear from usage. I contacted NW Shower door about purchasing a new door sweep and they told me to bring in the old one and they would match it up and take care of me. I went to their office and not only did they provide me with a new door sweep, but they also provided me with a solution to the door seal that was coming loose. All this was at no cost. NW shower door has been professional and a pleasure to deal with since we were referred to them nearly two years ago. Great people, great products, and great service. read more

First - what went well. The product looks great and the installers were professional and on time. Next - what did not go so well. Everything else. An office staff member was rude and unprofessional on several occasions. Her tone and attitude communicated she does not value the customer. I read this on other Yelp reviews and it was true for my experience. The office people do not communicate with the person who measures the door. I had to call him on my own to schedule the appointment. More...the person who measured my shower spoke despairingly about the office people. He said, "they don't know what they are doing and I do, don't worry it will be right." Well, he wrote incorrect measurements so in addition to the 5 week delay in just getting the doors, when they came to install, they identified that he wrote the incorrect information on the quote. Another delay. I could not use my shower for 6 weeks in total. One positive, once I ripped them on the phone, they somehow came up with another door with the correct measurements in 4 days Hmmm...! The price is very competitive and that is why we went with this company BUT the negatives far outweighed any cost savings. As I told the office person, I would be embarrassed to recommend this company to any of my friends. Once they had my money, they stopped providing customer service and anytime people within the company start bad-mouthing others within the company it demonstrates a high level of unprofessionalism. UPDATE (11/19/15): A few weeks ago, an "office" person called me to ask if there was anything she could do to get me to take this review off yelp. I was quite surprised to receive this phone call and this is yet another demonstration of poor customer service. Instead of asking me to take down an accurate and fair description of my experience with your company, you should have been tending to my experience while I was a customer of yours. Did you offer any discounts for poor service? Think about that next time, maybe. My review of this company is very different from the posted ones. I've used them on multiple projects with each one getting worse. The service is terrible, the follow-up to get the measurements out is terrible and the scheduling to get the project completed is terrible. This was not a one project issue but many. The only reason we kept going was the pricing was good. After missing the last deadline, we finally decided to go somewhere else. Pricing good, quality average but the service is terrible! read more

I would not recommend NW Shower door to anyone. The only part of my expereince that was satisfactory was that I like the door that was picked out and the installers who came to do the work (mulitple times) were always as helpful as they could be. The issue with my install is that it had to be attempted three times before it could be completed, which meant that I was without use of my shower for several weeks and had to miss many days of work to accomodate the errors. The first time that the compay came to install our frameless shower panels the end support panel holes for hardware were not drilled in the correct place and they did not have all of the parts required (threshold). I understood that the error and waited for a new panel to be made and a second appointment. At the second appointment the installers informed me that the door panel hand not been made properly so again I was not going to get my install, as well they forgot the threshold again. One mistake was fine with me, two mistakes was not fine especially based on the significant price for this shower system. I called the office to share my frustration only to be met with a simple I'm sorry. At this point after this many errors, time away from work, inability to use my shower and cost this was not a satisfactory response. The person on the phone said there was nothing more they could do, but they would talk with the owner. I am still waiting for any type of response from someone who can do more than say they are sorry. I received a call from the company for a third attempt for my install, which two very nice nstallers were finally able to complete. The service from this company is unacceptable. Mistakes happen, it is what you do to correct them which creates life long customers, as well as positive referrals about your business. read more
