The sign in process is somewhat of a pain so if you can plan ahead and do the paperwork online you will benefit. They ran three lab tests, strep, flu and COVID. All were negative. She had a item on one of her tonsils she wanted them to look at but they said they couldn't see it. So we left without any diagnosis or treatment. She remains ill so we suspect a bad cold. Overall I would have to say that I am not a fan. I would return though if my other options re not available, which was the case this time.

Or the fact that when I finally did see an NP she was barely in the room for two minutes. Then I see her recording our whole conversation on her iPad without disclosing to me that I am Being recorded. I could have let all this go if they had actually helped me but that was not the case. My throat was so bad and swollen I couldn't talk and had to have family come with me to communicate. Since I didn't have strep or Covid they sent me on my way with no meds or any kind of advice other than take advil and rinse with salt water which I had been doing for two weeks already. I had to pay $175 to be seen for two minutes and walk away with no remedy. Fast forward two months and my card was charged another $75 without my consent or any kind of notice. I called and complained for them to say it's policy and what I signed for when being seen. BEWARE! In the end I had to go to a different doctor and it turned out I DID need meds, I will be contesting the charges with my bank for fraudulent since there was barely any services rendered and the services received were less than adequate. Stay far away.

If you're un-, under-, or self-insured, find somewhere else. A friend recommended this place as fast, efficient and clean. I stopped in during the day, on a Saturday, in mid December. Had a blocked up ear that I couldn't get opened, and since airline travel was in my future, I thought better safe than sorry. The building exterior and interior are gorgeous; the staff was friendly and pleasant. So, I signed in, asked what the fee would be. Was told $150.50 and that they offered a 40% cash discount. Signed paperwork to that effect. NEVER was it mentioned that this is merely the "walk in the door and sign up" fee. 15 minutes later, I'm having vitals checked by a nurse: temp and BP. Asked to identify my concern; so I said I needed my ear unblocked. Doctor comes in, looks in my ear, looks in my other ear, gets the saline and syringe/plunger and has me hold a little plastic tray under my ear. 2 minutes later, I'm done, stopping at the front desk and writing a check to settle my bill. Easy as pie, and very pleased. Or, so I thought. Several days later, I get a bizarre phone call from someone asking if they can help me with financial assistance for my "hospital visit". I tell them they've got a wrong number, until if becomes apparent that my quick trip to what I thought was similar to a quick care facility was actually a "hospital trip." Several infuriating phone calls later, I am promised an itemized bill. Which never arrives. What does arrive is a statement from Provena St. Joseph Medical Center billing me for $525+. To squirt saline in one ear. While I assisted with the "procedure" by holding the $2 plastic tray. So: the moral of the story? If you need emergency care, go to an emergency room. If you need something minor, try CVS or Walgreens or somewhere else that doesn't pad their charges so excessively. Unless you have fabulous insurance, you're going to pay through the nose. Or in my case...the ear.

I didn't enjoy waiting in the ER for 4+ hours, but I understand that they have many other patients to tend to as well as tests that needed to be run for me. I think my wait time was the average and am glad I didn't have to wait any longer. On the other hand, I didn't appreciate the nurse who blamed my body when she couldn't get the needle to draw blood properly. I realize she was being honest and she could have been new, but it's best not to imply that it's the patient's fault, because, as was my case, it can cause one to worry. Another nurse seemed to have a cold attitude towards one of her colleagues, which was a bit upsetting to me. Overall my care was very good, and other than these small issues I was fine with my stay.

This is a really good PIC location…read more I used to go to the one on State Street in Chicago when I still lived there, so I'm already in their system, which made visiting a bit easier. I had to stop by today with a very painful cyst that I was afraid was infected. The PA I saw actually performed a minor procedure and removed the cyst, which was both gross and pretty cool/interesting. She was super patient with my mild exclamations of pain and pretty gentle during something that wasn't at all fun for anyone. In the end I walked out with a lot less cyst feeling confident I'm not gonna have a big issue with infection and can now follow up with the dermatologist in 9 days (which was the soonest I could get in somewhere more "traditional". Scheduling was easy on the website. They were busy but still got to me in a reasonable amount of time around my scheduled time. The nurses and desk staff were friendly and helpful. Nothing bad at all to say about this location and I'll be back next time I'm sick!

While I was trying to leave I was having trouble with the double doors. One of the employees sees this, but she is too busy exchanging information and flirting with a patient who was also leaving. The two ladies at the front desk were in shock at how blind she was and they decided to nicely speak up for me. Instead of the employee in the doors helping me, she simply steps to the side and finishes her conversation with the patient. I get out of the doors and I see her hug the patient. This was very rude and unprofessional to see and definitely not how I wanted our visit to end.
