I have been going to H.N. for several years. I find the service to be excellent. I find it difficult to get answers to questions about services and pricing, as example regular vs. "spa" pedicures. What is the difference?? Can I get a pricing list? I can't imagine going into any establishment and "ordering" without know I should be expected to pay. The fees seem to increase more often than they should. I also find it very interesting that if paying by card or Apple Pay there's no way to leave a tip, must be cash only. I find this suspect, probably not claiming this windfall on taxes. I gotta pay my taxes........... read more

I was happy to walk in here on a Wednesday morning and be taken immediately for a mani-pedi. Spotlessly clean inside, bright with windows all around and attentive nail techs. When I laughed at my slow moving and said I needed a second to bend my knee to swing into the pedicure chair, they were nothing but careful, telling me to take my time and making sure I was comfortable and relaxed. I'm super picky about nail salons with cleanliness at the top of my must-have list and I was not disappointed here. Also, plenty of room at the very new pedicure chairs for coffee and purse, also a big point for me. Spa pedicure - I love a hot rock massage and this didn't disappoint in the least. Scrubbed and pumiced, hot towels, hot rocks, lots of herbal scented moisturizer for my winter-dry skin and my nails skillfully trimmed and cleaned. The manicure was a regular mani, also carefully trimming nails and moisturizing dry skin until it was soft. I mentioned that my nails were breaking because I'd used a nail hardener and didn't remove it within a few days and my nails were dry, breaking and peeling. The tech took it on herself to find a hardening base coat to apply. I do agree with another reviewer that the polish selection may not be the biggest I've seen, but I found a shade I liked easily enough. I noticed a waxing area that looked spotless as well. This lil' salon meets all that's on the nail salon checklist: The staff is very friendly and always welcome walk-ins. If you ever have to wait, it's usually not for too long unless you're going at naturally busy hour on a Saturday. This is by far the worst place I've ever been to. I got dip acrylic and asked for almond shape. My nails are completely round, so uneven, spotty, clumpy and just overall terrible. The color is uneven. I will never return here again. Waste of $50, which is $15 more than what I'm used to for far worse quality. read more

I'm not sure of my manicurists name, because she really didn't talk to me lol, but she was meticulous with her work. I was looking for a new place for mani-pedis and I gave it a try this week. I love the fresh, clean, and bright atmosphere. The massage chairs are a lot newer than the place I normally go to. I loved the fact that their sterilizing of tools could be seen if you looked around. Two of the women were very friendly - one of them was named Amy. The woman that did my mani-pedi barely smiled and I doubt she spoke any English at all, but she talked so little it was hard to tell. She had short thinning hair and glasses in case you want to look for her. They need more OPI gel color options - as do all of the places I have been to. I do not know why they don't invest in a product that all of us are looking for - I prefer OPI products always. I will not go back for a pedicure because I do a better job of sloughing my feet than she did. I go barefoot 24/7 and I need sloughing! She took this soft little pad and rubbed it over my feet - not enough for me. I like them to use a microplane on my feet. They also need better hand cream and massaging. I do not like cheap, scented hand cream - use Aveeno or something quality like that. The hand massage and foot massage were very, very short. It is the fastest pedicure I have ever had - not a good sign. If you have great feet and do not need a lot of sloughing then yes, it is a great place for you. The price - I paid 50 for a gel manicure and regular pedicure - that was a good price. I guess I wish the pedicure did more sloughing and more massage because the chairs are amazing and there is a very relaxing atmosphere. read more

Used to be great, but not anymore. I had a terrible experience at Hollywood Nails in Norwell yesterday. I was so disappointed because I had been in there many times over the years and received great service. My sister and I both had our nails and our wedding parties nails done here for our weddings too. For those of you who don't have time to read my entire in-depth review I'll summarize my key points: -An appointment means nothing. -They do quick, sloppy work to get you out the door fast and the next warm, paying body into a chair. -If you have a complaint they get very defensive and you will be ridiculed. -Don't bother asking for a refund if you received terrible service the answer is no. -They don't need your business because they have "been there for 9 years and don't need it." -If you want a Shellac or gel manicure don't get it done here because they don't know how to do it properly. I arrived on time for my 1:30 appt. and had to wait 45 minutes before someone could get to me. Finally someone was free and wrapped my nails with acetone soaked cotton and thin slivers of tin foil. The woman didn't even put a towel down and used so much acetone it ran all over the table and all over my skin. I told her that if she scuffed the surface of my nails with a file before applying the acetone that the gel polish comes off very quickly. She told me that they don't do it that way and proceed to start another customer's manicure. The wraps kept falling off my fingers and had to be reapplied. She came back and started the process scrapping the gel off my nails which took forever. I was then left to soak while she attended to another customer. She came back and did a quick, sloppy job at trimming my cuticles and I asked if she would trim them back some more. She obliged and started applying the gel base coat. They don't have enough 2-handed UV lamps to go around so I had to do one hand at a time in a single hand lamp which added more time. She then applied the white tips to the edge of my nails. She finished one hand and asked me what I thought. It was a sloppy job, the edge wasn't smooth and the white didn't extend all the way to the edges. I told her that I didn't like the way it looked and asked the manager if someone else could finish me. By now it was 3:30 I was assigned another manicurist, I asked if she could start over because the base coat hadn't cured and it was all botched up. She didn't want to reapply the base coat but I insisted. By now it was 5:00 and I just wanted to get out of there. She apologized for me having to wait so long and suggested that next time I wanted to come in on a Saturday that I should make an appointment. I told her that I had a 1:30 appointment! She finished and I paid and tipped both manicurists because I felt bad for #1. I went outside and noticed in the sunlight that my nails didn't have that shellac super shine so I rubbed them on my jeans and the white tips smudged. I was so upset. If shellac is applied properly it dries instantly. I went back in and showed them what happened. They applied another top coat and had me leave them under the lamp for another 10 mins. I realized they don't know how to properly apply a shellac manicure. They applied the layers too thick, don't use a quality UV lamp and use way too much nail cleaning spray at the end that they are wiping away the uncured top coat resulting in an uneven finish. I left and when I got outside in the sunlight again I could see that the second final coat left bubbles and because each coat was applied too thick and wasn't cured properly that the polish had shrunk away from the edges of my nails. I was really dissatisfied. I've been getting shellac manicures for months now and they have all come out flawless. This is why you pay $35.00 for them. I decided to go back in again and ask them to remove the it. I showed the manager what I had an issue with and they applied more acetone, cotton, foil wraps. I could tell the manger was upset but I didn't care for $35.00 plus tip and 4 hours of my time I thought I deserved at least a decent manicure free of smudges and bubbles. Once the polish was removed I asked the manager for a refund. She told me no, and that there was nothing wrong with the manicure and that they spent too much time on me. I told her that I had appointment at 1:30, had to wait and wait, that they didn't do the procedure properly and that is why it took so long. I even offered to pay $15 for a standard manicure and asked for a $20.00 refund. She refused and offered me gift certificate for a free manicure and said that is all she could do for me! I told her that I would never return to a salon that gave such terrible service and that I was going to tell family and friends that go there regularly about my experience. She told me "I don't care, I don't need their business. I've been here for 9 years and have plenty of customers". Well, you just lost 4 customers. What a shame you have let your quality go down hill. read more

I think when i go to Hollywood Nails i get the best service you can get. When i went there 1 week ago i did pedicure and manicure. I did not have to complain about the service or about how they did it. I had the best time because they did very professionally and they are very friendly and all i have to say now is that so far that is the best service i got in a couple of years in other nail salons. I personally think i wish i could come back every week. I think Amy is very professional at doing it since she has done nails for 16 years. read more
