Unfortunately, our refrigerator was out of warranty, even though it was less than three years old. I shared this with Joe, and he immediately stepped in to help. After GE completed a site visit and provided a list of required parts, Joe placed the order right away and let me know the parts would arrive on 12/18. True to his word, on 12/18 Tyler came out and spent a good portion of the day repairing our refrigerator. He was outstanding--he took the time to walk us through everything he did, and provided us with some tips on what to do / not to do with the appliance. We couldn't be happier with how this turned out and are extremely thankful to the Poirier team for stepping up and supporting us when we really needed it. Words can't express how relieved and happy we are to have a fully working refrigerator again. Kudos and sincere thanks to the Poirier team for a job exceptionally well done! Happy holidays to all!

The washer/dryer required a full parts replacement, and most recently, after waiting nearly a month for a service appointment, a GE technician informed us that repairing our refrigerator would cost $1,500. I spoke with the director of service, who was very kind, but unable to offer any assistance. He even acknowledged that a three-year-old unit should not be experiencing this level of failure. Overall, I'm extremely disappointed with the experience we've had with Poirier. I understand they are a small business, but I believe they should do more to stand behind the products they sell. Unfortunately, I won't be purchasing from them again.

New England Spas and Hot Tubs…read more NE Spas had an incredibly knowledgeable service department that went over and above to support a buyer who didn't acquire the highest end tub AND lives on a island! This issue arose because I chose to plug in my tub (how hard could it be) because hiring an electrician to come to an island by boat is difficult. Turns out, an electrician would have known to clamp the main power cord. Pulling on it over time ended up shorting out the circuit board. That's when the fun began. NESpas made sure to order the right replacement board, put me on a group chat and walked me through the installation. I clamped the power cord and it's operated flawlessly ever since. Don't go anywhere else!

Patty Silvester is awesome. She has been impressively responsive throughout our shopping experiences. Sent a customer to pick out pavers... he walked out with an almost brand new outdoor kitchen!!! (Although, his wife's eyes looked like they could shoot lasers ha!) that is... until he told her he got EVERYTHING, the grill, mini fridge, cabinetry etc all for $4k!!! (When retail, was about $11k!!) The pavers were great too. And BYL even delivered them down the narrow south end alleyway between abutting brownstones which was rediculously stressful. I thought my jaw was going to fall off. We couldn't even get pick up trucks down there! They brought a forklift on the back of the delivery truck, zipped right down and dropped the pallet EXACTLY where we needed it!!!! Needless to say, very pleased with our experience. Now, had the 2 previous reviewers had more patience, maybe they wouldn't have spent $20-30k on materials but half that AND SCORED SOME! Oh well, their loss - Our gain! We have since gone on to work with BYL for 4 projects. We have gotten to know the team very well. They are responsive to email, pay attention to detail to make sure that nothing is overlooked and when it comes to renovations-- man, even the smallest detail overlooked can have consequences of EPIC proportions. THEY GET IT. THEY GENUINELY CARE FOR THE CUSTOMER AND MAINTAINING A POSITIVE RELATIONSHIP. Love these guys and until they give us a reason to not, will keep coming back.

They showed us types of washers we weren't even considering, and we ended up with an awesome Bosch unit. 6 months later, I accidentally screwed something up on it, and Hudson Appliance was out within a week to fix it, for free. Recently went back to get a new refrigerator as ours was going. They have reworked their salesfloor and practices to be COVID safe, and take it very seriously. It is very much appreciated. And while fridges were extremely back ordered due to the pandemic, Hudson Appliance was really communicative about what was going on, how long we would probably have to wait, and gave us the option to get a refund at any point. New fridge came in, team again was great, and safe during their delivery.

The item they delivered, however, was too deep and did not fit the space, actually blocking one of the entrances to our unit. We also had told them that the doors had to be reversed to open on the right, but that was not how it was delivered. When advising them of the problems, Hudson asked if we had checked the dimensions of the unit they recommended; to which I replied, "Did you check the dimensions we gave YOU?" No reply. When I asked why the installers didn't call Hudson to alert them that the refrigerator was blocking the door, I was told that they "just deliver and set up." When we told them that the doors were not reversed as we had asked, they told us that they could not be reversed; despite their telling us originally that they could. Despite this being clearly their fault, when we asked them to take it back, Hudson said that we would be responsible for a 30% restocking fee. We had considered going to Small Claims Court to resolve this, and we are confident that we would have won; however, we decided that it was not worth our time to save $250. They eventually took back the refrigerator and charged the 30% restocking fee. Having spent 30 years in senior management for large and small retail companies, I can say with conviction that this was extremely poor customer service and one of the worst experiences I have ever had as a consumer. I do not like leaving negative reviews, particularly for small box stores, but given their indifference to us, I feel compelled to call out Hudson Appliance for this terrible experience.

He sounded sincere so will not downgrade but wonder why no call. I had said I am just looking for a chimney sweep, not looking for a big job so he would be prepared to just do what is absolutely necessary. HOPE he calls and if so will give another report of experience. This popped up in my feed because I looked up Chimney sweeps, I did not come on to give a review. Now not letting me add stars, not sure why not.
