The bread, as always was delicious in the butter sauce. I got a pineapple painkiller and my sister got a Moscow mule. They were small but very refreshing. I also tried the seasonal Sangria which was a white wine and strawberry, this was absolutely delicious. For food, got chicken piccata and she got tomato grilled cheese soup. The food was really good, the chicken piccata was crunchy and the pasta was perfect, the tomato soup was seasoned well and the grilled cheese was melty and perfect. All in all a really good expirience, also the waiter was super friendly and attentive(Graham). The service was good, food was okay. Not great but just okay. The bang bang shrimp appetizer was a big disappointment --very bland with absolutely no reason to call it "bang bang' shrimp. Most of all though, post covid, their menu has been reduced and all their prices are up sharply.... Probably 30-40%. Lunch for 2 used to cost $50-55 with a beer or two. I just love the food here, it's all great quality and a very friendly staff and atmosphere. I've come a few times since living in NH and have a great meal each time. Their pizza is by far the best I've had so far in town, and the salads are perfect. I did get a platter of nachos once and I wasn't a fan of the chipotle sauce, I would definitely like a more simplistic option for nachos but overall, it was still nice quality. I've had consistently solid meals at any NYAJ location, and this one was no exception. We arrived for an early dinner on a Saturday night, and there was quite a wait for tables when we got up to leave. No surprise~ the food is good, the drink offerings are creative and fun, and the menu is varied enough to satisfy most of us. Our table had 2 orders of the herbed haddock and a fish and chips. We started with small Caesar salads. Both haddocks had to go back to the kitchen, as they were underdone. This was handled beautifully by the staff; our server whisked them away with an apology and a manager delivered fresh plates, all newly made, very quickly. The haddock and salad were delicious, and I'll order both again. Service was efficient, helpful and friendly. Nice ambiance and decor. The bread that came before the meal was good, but the dipping sauce that came with the bread was amazing. It was cheesy and garlicky and salty goodness. The Ahi Tuna Salad was really good. The mango chunks they used weren't ripe enough though. I think they could've waited a few more days and it would've been perfect. Very disappointed with this location. We ordered the jambalaya and it literally tasted like it was previously frozen and then microwaved. For $24 this was really ridiculous. After a long travel day, the food here was just what the doctor ordered. We started with dessert and got the peanut butter cake, which is completely frozen like a block of ice. When they first opened, I was impressed and years later (haven't been here as frequently) I still love them. First off, you can't beat the free bread and dip. I recently took advantage of their Double Cheeseburger deal which comes with a burger, fries and a beer from a limited selection all for $12.99. I decided to try this Not Your Average Joe's for an early Saturday lunch with some relatives who live near Nashua. Given the place was mostly empty we were able to get a booth right away. To me it has the feel of a sports bar with the bar centered in a large room with booths and tables around it. Our waiter was prompt, maybe a little too prompt. It felt like he was coming over to our table like every five minutes. The smoky joe burger I ordered was good and so big I had trouble fitting it in my mouth. We went to this restaurant yesterday and I couldn't help but to write a review after our experience. We ordered fish and chips, which were light and flaky and of very good quality. Not greasy at all. We also ordered a Cobb salad which was delicious; however, unfortunately some of the chicken breast was undercooked and still had some red/pink in it. I mentioned this to my server and a minute later the manager came by and said they were going to make me a new chicken breast and they'd make sure the chefs measure the temp going forward. By the time the new chicken was done, I was done with my salad, so the manager packed up a brand new salad for me to go. So nice! What then blew me away was that they comped the salad entirely. Excellent atmosphere and food! The decor is very industrial-modern, which is one of my favorites. This is a place you can wear anything from jeans or shorts all the way to cocktail attire to. There is a good selection of beers on tap (15+ ish) from local to nationwide craft, to your regular Bud Light. They even have happy hour and specials on food and drinks throughout the week. The patio is very nice- not huge but big enough to not feel cramped. Even though it's right off the main road, you don't really notice the traffic. There are umbrellas for shade on warmer days and a little corner where they have a fire pit with seats at round it. The food menu is huge! There is a seasonal section, then everything from salads and burgers to fish and pasta plates. Some options were great for those safe eaters and then there were some very unique and delicious options. For example I had a veggie burger in which the party was made with quinoa, sweet potato, mushrooms and black beans. It was topped with guacamole and pickled cabbage. Not Your Average Joe's has quickly become my favorite local restaurant. They do a fantastic job at this location keeping the restaurant running smoothly. The bread that comes with a oil that contains a red pepper flake and Romano cheese mix is an excellent start to every meal. The menu has changed a bit over the past few years and although they took away my long time favorite Tostada Stack it seems they have expanded their options. I usually get the penne all vodka with chicken and I ask specifically for the mustard crusted chicken. It's very delicious and reasonably priced. I have gotten a couple servers who seemed to struggle providing adequate service, but the manager Eileen is always there to pick up their slack. I will continue to come back here as I have a great experience every time. read more
