I work for a MD so we ordered about $400 worth of bundt cakes to give to other offices and they charged me twice. It's been months and they've yet to refund us, I tried contacting their owner multiple times and never heard back. I called his cellphone that I was provided and never had any luck. Called multiple times to the store and he was never there, the sales rep always took a message down, but I never heard back from the owner who apparently is the only one allowed to refund money which makes no sense as he is never there? This was back in January of this year, $800 for an order of bundt cakes is ridiculous and shows the character and integrity of the owner. I have come in a couple of times and have been helped by Lexi. She always greets me when I come in and helps to give suggestions when I don't know what kind of cake to get. It's nice to see a friendly face with all that we have going on right now, even if it is covered by a mask. I'm also really impressed with how the frosting on the cakes look. This is clearly one of the best things to happen in Capitola. Upon walking in, the store sparkles. And, there are lots of fun party things to look at. The cakes are amazing. Of the three I have tried so far (Chocolate Chocolate Chip, Red Velvet and Carrot) the Chocolate Chocolate Chip is by far the most moist and best. I particularly like the variety of sizes, from bite size or for serving groups. I'm a fan. I'll be going back to try more. Can't wait. read more

I ordered a cake and minis for my granddaughters birthday and they were right on top of it! They were on time and even made sure we got help carrying it out to our car! Came into the store because I had a BOGO coupon, and omg was it worth it. Their red velvet cake is to die for! I also got the marble which I liked, but felt it had much more yellow than chocolate cake ratio than the usual marble cake (which is maybe what they were going for) They sell these cute "bundtlets" which are like mini Bundt cakes, and perfect for when you have that sweet tooth craving but don't want to buy a whole cake. They have ALL SORTS of arrangements and options, and seem very accommodating to what you need. They even have a gluten free option! (Chocolate chip) I can't wait for my birthday to come around so I have an reason to get a full size cake from here Also, the store itself is adorable! The 5 stars are for the employees. 1 star for the owners. The fact that this store doesn't have a tip jar blows my mind. I remember when I was a kid I lived for my tips. Bring back the tip jar!!!! The owner is a jerk! I had placed a large order online earlier this month, for my mother's memorial services in SEPTEMBER. I found out, due to Covid-19, we cannot have a reception afterwards. So, 15 days after I ordered and 49 days before the scheduled event I called the store to cancel my order. The young lady that helped me said she didn't have the authority, took my information and said she was texting the owners because they were on vacation and that I should hear from them by the next day. I did not, so I called the store again 4 days later. I was told again, that at the store they do not have the authority to process a return and gave me the owners name and number. I left a message stating I needed to cancel, why I needed to cancel and wanted a credit back to my account. When Jeff called me back, he was questioning why I had planned so far in advance for my Mother's services. (??). Then he asked me to "work with him" and take half of a refund and the other half in store credit. I said that wasn't acceptable. I said I would rather work it out with him versus my credit card company. He then accused me of trying to get a refund from him and also from my credit card company (??). When I asked why I had already been charged he replied " That's the way it is with online ordering." Jeff then said he would think of a solution and call me back. He did not. My husband then spoke to him and Jeff said that he had already told me to dispute the charge with my credit card. He did not say that! That he would not refund my $218. I received no goods, there was nothing in my online order confirmation email about returns or cancellations. I cancelled WAY in advance. Jeff was rude, condescending, lied and did not care one bit about whether or not he had a happy customer. This is theft! Don't shop there and support this creep. read more

I've ordered cakes from this bakery twice now. Once for my wedding this summer and then a dozen bundtlets for a birthday this month. We were cutting it close to closing time to pick up the cakes for the wedding and they provided a courtesy call to remind you about the cakes and when they were closing. On the birthday order I received "the call" a day early. I missed the call, but confused so I called back. They had made a mistake on the date and had them ready a day early. With no hesitation at all, after checking the online order, the lady on the phone apologized for the mistake and assured me that new, fresh cakes would be ready for my 10am pick up time the next morning. And, they were. I haven't even mentioned how amazing the cakes taste! So good. Their summer raspberry lemon was our favorite. But really, the carrot, confetti, chocolate, marble and all the other cakes are fantastic! I will be back! read more

I have always been a fan of these cakes, but something is happening to the quality...recently purchased 2, 10" cakes, one white chocolate raspberry, the other chocolate chocolate chip. I had specified drizzle icing. The raspberry tasted very artificial (not even a hint of real raspberries), the chocolate had no chocolate chips in it at all and the icing was greasy tasting and stuck to the roof of my mouth. None of my guests complained, but I've noticed this change in quality from previous orders. Makes me think they're cutting corners! read more

Went with a friend today to try out this new location. I had never been a nothing Bundt cakes before, so i was rather excited to see if the cake was gonna be up to my high level of cake expectations. When we arrived we were promptly greeted by the Cashier and was told about free self serve samples of the flavor of the day which was " confetti birthday cake". let me say the sample was AMAZING. the cakes was so flavor full SOOO moist, I was honestly shocked. I don't think Ive ever had such moist cake in my life. The frosting was superb just the right amount of sweetness and the perfect consistency. Based on the sample I order the small personal cake called the Bundlet. I was skeptical that maybe the cake wouldn't be as moist since its not a sample to entice customers. The Cake was just as moist and just as delicious. I'm very excited to visit this location again. I would highly recommend. read more
