I have had several bad experiences here, from them not being open during stated hours, to being placed on hold for over 15 minutes only to drive to the store to get the answer before they even returned to the phone, to them not having certain cakes available. when I walked in there were absolutely no customers. There were 2 employees standing behind the counter talking to one another. Mind you, it's a very small place. I walked into the bakery on Monday, December 21, around 4:00 p.m. There were no cakes in the display. I was told they were sold out. I visited again, today, December 22 and again was told they were sold out. In addition, I was told they were not making cakes for walk-in customers and to come back next week. Nothing Bundt Cakes has a great selection of mini, small and large size cakes. The cakes are very moist and tasty. The cakes appear to be frozen before being place in the Refrigerator for purchase. So at times they can be cooler than I like. The staff is normally very friendly and offers sample. You have to try this place. read more

I found the cream cheese frosting to be extremely strong and I ended up knocking it off most of my cupcakes. However so far in the tasting the cake itself is wonderful. Each little cake has been perfectly baked so that it is both moist and spongy. While waiting for our box I saw a lady go in, decide what would be on her cake, and have it prepared and out the door in minutes. Seems like a great place to grab a quick cake with ribbons and such. They also sold candles you can throw on. So far I love the chocolate chip (which is interesting as I'm not a huge fan of chocolate-but it wasn't bitter and still so moist) and the pecan praline. THIS WAS MY SECOND HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS LOCATION! About two weeks ago my mom did a special order for a birthday gift. She called the store over 5 times for the curbside pick-up. Employees never answered the phone. She got out of her car (she is considered high risk... so I was MAD she had to get out the car) went to the door of the store and called again. The employees looked her and looked at the phone and still did not answer the phone!!!!!!!! They finally answered the call after she knocked on the door. She told them "YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE!" Then proceeded with her pick up. That took over 30 minutes just to do a pickup, that was not considered curbside!!!! Yesterday, May 5, 2020 was even worst for myself. I placed an order online May 4, 2020 for next day curbside pick-up at 4:30PM. I arrived at 4:45PM and called the store 5 times for curbside service. NO ONE ANSWERED! I got out my car and called again standing at the front door and African American middle age man was at the door on the inside of the store stood there and looked at me. DID NOT say a word to me! I yelled I need my order, he stood there and still did not move or say a word. I called and I called. I even moved my car right in front so the door. Then at about 5:05pm a young white lady comes to my car and says "YEAH, what's your last name?" I replied "YEAH. WOW! That's rude! My name is............." Ten minutes later she comes back and says "YEAH, I do not see you name in the system!" I pulled up the order and payment confirmation and read the order out to you. Then she has be repeat it again! AT this point my am ANGRY!!! She finally brings out the order and all of my CAKE are COLD as ice! I asked "who eats cold cake?" she said "well ma'am that's what he have an walks off!" Change your cashier/ associate who's at the front named Alex. This was at 11:15am on 7/25/2019. I purchased 6 cakes- 4 red velvet & 2 confetti. She bags 5 total. I told her I needed one more red velvet because she was short one. She says," no, you only paid for 3 red velvet cakes. I can ring up one more because I only rang up for 3 of them." Oh really?! So why does my receipt show I paid for a total of six. She pulls my receipt and counts, " look, there's 1,2,3 red velvet" & gives me back my receipt. I said, "count again- there are FOUR and 2 confetti totals SIX(6)! She takes my receipt again and starts to count down the receipt- " oh, sorry about that". How can something so simple as paying for six small cakes be so challenging for this cashier. She acted like I was trying to cheat her. Fantastic product, but customer service lacking! This store stopped taking online orders about 10 days before Christmas but when I called the store the staff did not seem to know that. I tried to order the Buntinis three times but they were unable to sell these because the order for the boxes these come in had been delayed and I was never able to purchase before Christmas. I went in on Saturday before Christmas and ordered several Bundlets to pick up on Monday and was told the boxes might be in by then so to check back. On Sunday I got a call that they had run out of one of the flavors that I ordered and needed to reselect. On Monday, I arrived to pick them up and the note on the door said No Walk-ins, Pick Up Orders Only. No Thanks for your business, we are sorry that we ran out or please come again. They missed a lot of business due to poor management. read more

At this point I would give zero stars. Placed online order only to show up to pickup where the line was 6 people inside and 8 people outside the building. After waiting an hour to get to the counter to ask for my pickup order, was told it was not ready and would be another 20 minutes. At this point I cancelled my order as I had somewhere to be in 30 minutes. So I wasted an hour of my life basically. I will never return to this place. The cakes are good but not that good. I would highly suggest they staff more folks to handle the order intake or at a minimum CALL those who placed orders if you will not have them ready in time for pickup. I was riding around in the plaza and I discovered this bakery. This was my first visit and definitely will not be my last. They had pumpkin pie cake samples which were amazing and fresh. This place is awesome! I stepped into the bakery after a nice shopping trip to TJ Maxx and I'm so glad I did. It is a very bright and inviting bakery. The customer service is top notch. Within just a minute of being there I was greeted by Shannel (forgive me if I spelled it wrong) who was the nicest and most informative worker I've met in a long time. She explained each flavor of the cakes, the sizes, how they're decorated, and we even got a sample (red velvet which was to DIE for). I did not order one today but I plan to order one in the next week or so for an event and I will update my review then. This cute little bakery caught my eye with the pun as their business name. My mom and I were heading heading into Home Goods when discovered that it closed unusually early at 6pm. With only ten minutes before closing time, we decided into check the place out, especially after seeing "free samples inside" on the sign out front. A lady had just grabbed the last piece of chocolate cake, but the owner quickly reassured me that she would bring out some more. The confetti cake I sampled was so delicious. It was spongy, and dare I say it: moist. It melted in my mouth and was not overwhelmingly sweet. The frosting was an excellent complement. There were so many flavors to choose from. We choose classic vanilla, which has white chocolate for extra richness, and carrot, which is nut-free and has pineapple. This bakery is so unique, and I am looking forward to my next visit! read more

I have nothing bad to say about the cake but the cashiers are not friendly or welcoming. I understand that some, from what I think, are young, but I have been in the store several times in the last 2 months. Different cashiers and the same old thing. On Saturdays they run out of cakes so I thought I would go in early. Nope, that didn't work. I've gone later and that didn't work. Today, two hours after opening, I wanted 1 bundtlet. they didn't have either of the two flavors I wanted. There was supposed to be a sample out of my third option. One cashier told me the samples should be out soon so I waited a few minutes. Then I heard another cashier tell a customer that they wouldn't put them out. When I asked if the other cakes would be out soon I was told they were working on orders, so no. There was no idea of a wait time or anything. There must not be great communication between those up front and those making the cakes. Well I just think there should be a sign or some notification that some flavors may be sold out or unavailable for the bundtlets. Because I don't feel welcomed when I visit, on several occasions, and they are inconsistent with their stock, on several occasions, I won't be back for a while. Things were not always this way, so maybe they just need to change some things around. read more

The cakes here are amazing but they have some issues with organization. The first time I ordered something online they did not have my order at all but thankfully it was not a popular day and I was able to still get what I ordered. Today I went in to pick up an order I placed three days ago to be ready by 10 am. I arrived at 11 am and had to wait in a long line just to give my name and wait for an additional half hour to get my order. When I mentioned that I had ordered 3 days ago they said it doesn't matter because they still have to bake them that day. I get that but then why are people who ordered at 10 am that day getting orders ahead of people who placed their orders days ago? There were multiple people in line to pick orders up and they seemed behind on every order. Their lines did not make sense either. They had two pick up lines and one was moving much faster than the line I chose. Again, product is great but they need to work on their efficiency and customer service. read more

I was so excited to go and check out this store after rave reviews from some moms on the soccer field. One of the mom's even forwarded me a coupon for buy one, get one free. When I arrived at the store and showed the coupon to the person at the store, they told me that I could not use it as it was not sent directly to me. My friend had specifically said to me that she was passing along the coupon as she was told she could. They were inflexible and frankly, not very friendly. I guess it was for the best. When my son tried the free sample of the confetti cake, he did not like the cake at all. He said the frosting was way too sweet and overpowered the cake. read more

I used to go there, the North Raleigh location, all the time and amassed quite a few of those punch cards and never used them. I told the ladies I would wait until hard times. No one ever said anything about an expiration date. Well, I sent my daughter up there to get me some bundtlets and gave her my punch cards. She came back and told me the lady said they had expired. I called and spoke to the owner and was told to just bring them in the next time I come and tell them I spoke to her. Well, I ordered a birthday cake online and needed to get some bundtlets of different flavors so I was going to use those cards. I told the clerk what had happened before with the cards and the owner, Laura, had said to tell them I had spoken to her and it was okay to accept them. She went and got the manager and the manager told me she could not accept them, the owner would not be available until Friday and there was nothing she could do. (This was Wednesday.) I took the cake I had ordered and told them I was never setting foot back in that store again. (They probably did me a favor!). I went to the Morrisville location after I checked to make sure the owner was not the same person and spoke to the owner so maybe she could convey the word to North Raleigh owner that she lost a customer. I felt betrayed by the North Raleigh location owner, Laura, and if I had not already paid for the cake, I would have left it. The Morrisville store was more than willing to accept the cards but I told them no! At this point, the cards were not the issue. In fact, I had left them in the car. The Morrisville store still gave me a free bundtlet. I will drive to the Morrisville store for my bundtlets! They have great customer service. It is not all talk! read more
