I've been going to Nothing Bundt Cakes in San Marcos for several years now, and it's always a hit with my friends and family. Whether I'm picking up a cake for a birthday, holiday, or just because, they've never let me down. Most recently, I stopped in for a last minute Father's Day gift and picked up one of their two bundtlet towers. The recipient absolutely loved it, which wasn't surprising. Their cakes are always incredibly moist, and the cream cheese frosting is so good. I enjoy all of their flavors, but I especially look forward to the seasonal and limited time offerings. The new Peach Cobbler flavor was amazing, and I really enjoyed the seasonal S'mores flavor as well. Every order I've placed has been accurate and ready on time. The employees are friendly, the shop is always clean, and it smells amazing the second you walk through the door. There's plenty of parking available, although the shopping center can get pretty busy. This is one of my go to places for gifts, celebrations, and sweet treats. I saw this review and had to chime in as someone who actually frequents Nothing Bundt Cakes during their posted business hours (and, yes, actually eats the delicious 5-star cakes). Giving a one-star because you showed up after closing is like blaming the sun for setting too early. You didn't even base it on the actual store or the product? And shame on you, Nothing Bundt Cakes, for not realizing it was LL's birthday! How could you possibly lock the doors without consulting her calendar first? Now that we know, let's be better prepared next time -- okay? Sometimes it's hard to use that phone we have with us at all times -- I get it. But if you had, you could've easily checked the hours or called. They're clearly posted. It's aint right to give a 1-star review because a place didn't match what you imagined it should be. What really stands out, though, is that the staff still treated you kindly and even offered to check another location after closing. That's customer service worth celebrating, not criticizing. We really love the cakes, at Nothing Bundt Cakes, especially the white chocolate raspberry. Unfortunately the service when we went there last Friday was terrible. I'm currently on vacation in North Carolina and a very close friend of mine was celebrating a birthday today. I decided to do an online order to have a cake delivered to her home. She received the cake and was ecstatic however, when we took a closer look at the message card we noticed that there were several errors on the card. Thinking this was an error on my end, I went back to my confirmation email which showed how I drafted the message and to my surprise, there were no errors on my end. I contacted the store and was told the best they could do was refund me the price of the message card which was $.50. I feel terrible because, I paid for the product to be a certain way and it was not delivered as such. The store did confirm that on their end, the message did have the error so there seems to be some sort of a glitch in the system for anyone making an online orders. I am a huge fan of the company and have used them several times, but this is just unfair. For $90 I expected perfection.
