I am one who bakes and I do love this place. Their cakes are so moist and full of flavor. A longtime bakery in Illinois has a sign and it says "Life is not promised to you eat your dessert FIRST" I had my dinner and was tempted when I got home to eat my delicious cake right away. Cutest little shop offering delicious cakes. They also sell novelty items like the most adorable coffee mugs and candles and just random little bits of happiness. The girls behind the counter are sweet and helpful. Just a note... they don't have a dine in area at all. Ok I am not a sweet eater but man was yhis cake so good!! I sampled the Pecan Praline cake. The cream cheese is perfectly blended with bites of pecan and hints of cinnamon. This cake isn't too sweet. It's just right. The atmosphere here was very clean and inviting. One of the bakers came from the back and was so excited to have visitors. I appreciated her welcoming spirit. This place will ruin all other cakes forever. There is nothing like a Nothing Bundt Cake. I mean, first of all, how could you go wrong with such an amazingly punny name as that? The cakes at this chain are incredibly moist, yet hold up the density of a bundt cake. The flavors are incredible - from chocolate to vanilla to the flavor of the month, which was strawberry in May. I have never been disappointed by a flavor. And then there's the frosting... it's a cream cheese base that is so rich but smooth. Some people complain there's too much on the cakes. Well, feel free to put any excess on my plate because I could just eat that frosting by the spoonful. Finally, the presentation is beautiful. These cakes are perfect for any celebration, even a wedding. And they're something different, as well, than just the typical rectangle cake. Despite the excruciatingly punny name and the prefabricated chain store layout, the staff is friendly and inviting and the eponymous cakes are quite moist and delicious. That is, when you can taste them. I tried the peanut butter and chocolate chip special bundtlet. A nice peanut butter flavor throughout with perfectly sized chocolate chips sprinkled in without overpowering the whole production. The only letdown was the frosting. A sweet and rich cream cheese base, but applied way too liberally on top of the bundtlet. At times it was hard to taste anything but frosting. Regardless, it wasn't enough to bring down the entire experience. And the $4.82 price tag, while on the pricier side, isn't a complete deterrent. I've never bought anything here before but my mom had nothing but good things to say. So when my coworkers birthday came around I remembered the bundtlets my mom had raved about. At first I was just going to order one and probably one for myself but I noticed they sold bundtlet towers which was 1, 2, or 3 packaged together in cellophane. I thought it was perfect and when I started customizing I realized it was even better. You had your choice of ribbon and a little sentiment flag included in the price (both you can see in my photos). You could also include a flower decoration for 1$. I ordered the tower as well as a couple of individual ones for myself online for pickup. They were ready and waiting when I arrived after work. The shop itself was cute and well maintained and my wait was minimal! The bundts themselves were delicious! I ordered the red velvet and was not disappointed. I've seen some say the icing is too much. But I believe they are all a type of buttercream icing and are super tasty maybe a bit on the sugary side but this isn't a everyday meal so I thought it was the perfect amount of icing. I completely love this place! My sister told me about it a while back but at the time the closest one was in Orlando park. I stumbled across this place while across the street at B&BW so I remembered my sis raving about it and decided to try . so I did , my daughter and I got 2 each . Her confetti and double chocolate and I got red velvet and the limited time strawberry and cream . That's all and they are amazing! The is a bit to much frosting in the middle but doesn't ruin it . Ordered a Cake on Jan 11th for my son bday. Could not pick up cake before closing, called and was told ok to pick up next day Jan 12th. Next day was midwest snow storm. Went to location (and called) after 11am to find store closed, in fact all stores on storefront was closed. Feeling defeated My sister found Oak Lawn location up an running. I drove to Oak lawn location an purchased another cake as each location is individually franchised. I was also told to call an request for store credit or refund. Life happened, I called a few weeks later and was told "we see your order, we were open and passing out cakes, we see you didn't pick up your cake, there is nothing we can do." Now i'm upset because I know for a fact when I went there they were closed. I asked for them to look up Cameras for the day and of course no help!! Delicious, Scrumptious... I love Nothing Bundt cake. So glad a location opened up close to home. The staff is very pleasant. Since this one location opened, have visited it 3 times. I'm a big fan of the Chocolate Chocolate Chip, Funfetti is good, tried the pumpkin spice recently and I thought it was delicious. If you haven't tried, seriously go give it a try. Very moist and delicious. The bundlets are 4.50 similar to the designer cupcake price at those type of shops in the area, however these are much much better. Nothing Bundt is a God send to the Northwest Indiana area but probably not for my waistline.. This is by far the best cupcake in the area and I have tried them all. These cakes are not dry and dense in flavor as those that I have tried here locally. The lemon cupcake is my favorite.... although you can't go wrong with any flavor though! read more
