Cakes are good but too expensive. Additionally, they are not truthful when it comes to the size of their cakes. Their 8 inch cake really measures 6 inches, yet they charge $21 for it. This is the same type of dishonest marketing that Subway was sued for. And when we challenged them on it, they made nothing but excuses by saying that they can build it to 8 inches by adding 2 inches of frosting. That $5.30 for icing, which amounts to more that 1/4th of the cost of this "8-inch cake". The only way to keep businesses honest is to hold them accountable for dishonest practices, such as this to their customers. read more

I usually go to the Carlsbad location but happened to be in Temecula today so I thought I would stop by and get my free Birthday Bundt cake. Then I decided to buy either the 8" or the dozen with the variety pack. I asked the young lady behind the counter how much was the 8", she proceeded to point at the price list on the wall with no verbal response... I thought this was rather rude. So then I asked about what flavors were in the dozen, she said the names of them so fast I had to ask again and she seemed very irritated about it. I then ordered the dozen and changed one kind of the choices. We waited for our order, paid for it then left. After we got in our car my granddaughter who is 22 years old and is herself self employed asked me if I thought the young lady who helped me was rude and I said yes. I looked on my receipt for the clerk's name that waited on me, her name is Serena and this happened today, November 1, 2018 at 1:11 pm. My receipt number is 444803. I was so happy to see something different than the typical cupcake. Their bunt cakes are not only amazingly yummy, but their designs are super adorable. I called them at 4:30 pm for a decorated cake to pick up in 20 minutes. The had my balloons ready and my GORGEOUS cake ready for pick up. I wrote a review stating my disappointment and don't you know the owner wrote me back and sent me a gift certificate for a new red-velvet cake. She said she would talk to her baker. Our server was Taylor and she was not that helpful. This does not happen at all NBC locations, particularly the one in Las Vegas which is staffed with trolls. This was a mistake and I wish that you also included the information about the amazing deal that you got for purchasing those gift certificates... Secondly she dealt with the manager who never professed to be the owner. As you daughter who sounds like is a loyal customer can attest that she has had great service and great bundts there. Why should the business suffer over one mistake somebody made? I sincerely wish you would think about the damage a review like this can do to a small business like this. I bought two gift cards for my son and daughter for Christmas. My daughter went to use her gift card and no money amount was on it. I love Nothing Bundt Cakes and would give them a full 5, but there was a mistake on our order. We went in to order our two bundt cakes for our wedding. On our wedding day we had my mother-in-law pick up the pre-paid cakes. When she got them to our house (about 30 min away from the store) I saw that one of the cakes was the wrong flavor. I was obviously upset, especially since we spent so much time picking out our favorite flavors. To be honest, we had enough craziness going on that day, that we didn't care that much. This place was good! I've been baking for years and my expectations are high and most places I try miss the mark but this was good. I was worried I wouldn't like it since I tried a carrot cake sample and didn't like it but I'm glad I went ahead and ordered something else to try. I'm wondering if they have any other kind of frosting though because the cream cheese one is super sweet. I guess next time I'll ask for plain vanilla frosting or hopefully they have a good vanilla bean frosting.
