I'm usually in and out when I come here and I love it! The staff is super helpful. It can get pretty busy in the afternoon sometimes, but it's usually pretty fast once you are there. It always smells so good walking in. Love the bundt cake options. Most of the time, I usually request for a bundt cake without the frosting and would have to wait a few minutes, but I don't mind doing that. It's great to have that option when it is needed. I'm always excited and forget to take a picture when I get mine, but that means I will have to go back again soon! read more

Always loved the Bundt cakes but the last 2 times have been a disappointment. Once the cake was not baked thru & was gooey on the inside. The manager responded to my complaint and then last week my daughter ordered a cake for my husband's birthday and we noticed the size was definitely smaller than ones we've had in the past and not worth the $31 price. I've heard this store from my friends and decided to check it out. I ordered strawberry cream cake flavor for my son birthday. The store about 12 miles from my home and it's in the heart of the Danada square in Wheaton. I was surprised how friendly staff were and they are just focusing on cake only. The cake was very moist and a bit too sweet. In my opinion, if they can reduce the amount of sugar in a half, that would make the cake better. I ordered from Nothing Bundt Cakes a few weeks ago online for a Thanksgiving curbside pick-up order. The ordering process online was very simple and it was perfectly ready on the day/time that I ordered for. All employees were wearing masks and I was warmly welcomed when I arrived. We got a few dozen assorted bundtinis which came out to about $45. It's on the pricer side but the quality makes it worth it. I love how you can choose to mix and match the flavors. We've ordered from here a ton so we know which flavors we really enjoy but also decided to try a few new ones. We got pecan, pumpkin, lemon, and carrot cake. I've never add the pecan ones before and really liked them. All the bundtinis were moist and beautifully packaged. I appreciate the add-on options here. They have small "flags" you can stick in the cakes to say Happy Thanksgiving or whatever you're celebrating. The actual bundt cakes have fun turkey decor which are adorable but we wanted an assortment this year. Parking was a breeze here as this location has a ton of spots. I also noticed there is a large outdoor fireplace and seating area that this shopping square has. Not sure the restrictions for it currently but they had a ton of seating outside there. Looked like a nice place to take a shopping break outside. Anyway, the entire process was smooth and we love their products here. Oh my gosh I love nothing Bundt cakes. The cakes are super Yum even the lemon flavor when I usually don't like lemon flavor, this one is delicious! I've got a few of the mini birthday cakes which are super delicious and have ordered over 600 cupcakes for an event from them and they had the best customer service and gave us a discount and all the cupcakes were super super Yum. My favorite is the cheesecake one but from the cakes the chocolate one. They are a little pricey but totally worth it for a fun occasion. Definitely recommend if you are looking for something sweet and special. They also sell fun gadgets and cards and little gifts besides cakes. I see in FL for my FL folks, they have locations in Orlando, FL, Miami, and Jacksonville, FL, and they are actually all over the U.S. On this trip, I visited the one in Wheaton, IL. This was a bright fun spot perfect with an outside area surrounding a water fountain. This is the type of perfect spot that I would love for that reason. The location is bigger than a location that I visited later in Orland Park which is simply an order and take out location. I was excited that they had samples. This time they had a sample of the lemon cake and chocolate cake. My favorite was the lemon cake which was refreshing and super moist. I kept going back for more lol! I picked out the pina colada cake for myself, and my friends to share. For your birthday month, they give you a free bundtlet cake which is what I picked up. It was a pretty good size. Make sure to sign up for them on their mailing list. This is a fun place to have a small dessert, or pick out a cake for a special occasion. Make sure to check it out. I first heard about Nothing Bundt Cakes from a former colleague who travelled a lot. She frequented Las Vegas and would always bring back little buntlets for everyone to try. That was my first time ever experiencing such yummy goodness and it still tasted great even after being on a plane for a day. Fast forward to now - we currently live near a location! Imagine how I felt eating one fresh! It looks like a little cupcake without having to peel off the paper on the bottom half. A bit prettier than a muffin with all the excessive white frosting it has on top. There's a variety of different flavors but I've only ever tried two. Red Velvet is good, but a little too sweet for my liking. Marble is my favorite for now - it's the right amount of sweetness. The cake is flavored well and perfectly moist. I love it! Extra wonderful when eaten cold straight outta the fridge on a hot summer day. This location is awesome because they have free samples and the workers are super nice, friendly, and helpful. Being newly moved here, I ended up signing up for their email list. I think I'll get something on my birthday haha! I am not a real cake fanatic but my wife and I saw an ad for this place on a Groupon email. We didn't get the Groupon but she and I both thought the place would be worthy of a visit. I had no idea what we were in for. Located in the former Pot Belly Sandwich building I didn't realize what a person can do with a location. Inside was very welcoming and great atmosphere. We were greeted as though it was their first day open. Very professional and friendly people. The place was super clean and of course it smelled great too. The staff person asked if we had tried the sample they had out. We had and it was so good it was hard to believe. Moist and just the right sweetness. It was the raspberry something. Anyhow, the wife bought the double chocolate and I got the red velvet. Both were out of this world. By far the best tasting cake I have ever tasted in my life. Just the smell alone when I walk into Nothing Bundt Cakes makes me drool. They offer a variety of cakes - bundtinis (bite size and ordered by the dozen), bundlets (about $4 each and the perfect two-person portion...Or one person portion if you believe in yourself), and 8" and 10" cakes. The cakes sell themselves. They always have a wide variety of flavors (I think today they had at least 12 flavors of bundlets!) and I've never tried one I don't like...though Raspberry White Chocolate is my favorite! They seem to have a lot going on in the shop and while I was waiting for my friend to meet me on this particular visit I looked around a bit. Usually I'm super distracted - CAKE! - and just want to get my cake and get out but I wondered if it's more of a retail shop than I've realized before. And there is not enough frosting on the cakes and they don't sell it extra on the side but they will put extra on the cake for a fee. I would rather have it on the side. I just recently went to this location for my first time ever going to Nothing Bundt Cakes. I ordered a cake for my boyfriend's birthday online. The ordering process was so easy and there were so many options to customize your cake to your liking. I was pleasantly surprised at how great the price was for what you get. When I got to the location to pick up my cake, I was greeted by two super friendly women with the sweetest bubbly personalities. This is a really cute place and it is fun to have nearby in Wheaton Town Square. Yes, I too chuckled when I heard that there was going to be a new bakery/restaurant featuring bundt cakes. But seriously- it is more unique than you think and actually a very clever idea. You really do need to go and check it out. I stopped by this afternoon and they were offering free samples of their white chocolate raspberry bundt cakes- they are really pretty and very tasty. I was thinking of just buying something to take home to my husband but after trying the sample I had to get something for myself too. The decor is really cute and the people working are very friendly and positive. They have a case (see my picture) where you can choose a cake to take home- the individual size ones are bigger than a cupcake and have petals of cream cheese frosting on them, packaged in a cute plastic container that is easy to eat out of (which is handy, you have to admit). They are $3.99 each but until the end of April they are buy three, get one free. They have smaller ones that they sell only by the dozen and then bigger cakes that are ready to take home. They will also decorate a cake for you for a special occasion but they don't write on the cakes (but have message cards and flags for that purpose). They ask if you order a decorated cake that you give them 24 hours notice. They sell cute candles in the store. They do gift stacks of two or three bundtlets which is cute. They seem to have creative ideas. They just opened, so will be able to offer shipping and online ordering eventually but not quite yet. I had the pleasure to be served by the owner. She seems very excited about her new endeavor. She said it's a family owned business and they are hoping to be involved in and supporting the community. She said their family tradition has always been baking a bundt cake on the first day of school every year, so this opportunity had a special place in her heart and she wanted to jump at the chance. She said that she loves helping people celebrate special occasions (now, that is dear to MY heart) and feels that this is a new way to do just that. I think she even said that they have 40 different occasions they can do cakes for- that's cool. Now, to the cakes. I have never been a fan of cream cheese frosting so I was hesitant to try it, but I actually really liked the frosting! It is so smart when places offer samples because it convinced me to try it when I wouldn't normally pay money for something I wasn't sure I'd like. They only have cream cheese frosting but if you order ahead you can have it in petals, glaze (I think this is the most frosting if I remember correctly), or light drizzle. I personally like that the frosting doesn't coat the whole cake so you can have a few bites with no frosting or can have every bite with frosting- however your taste is. The cake itself is DELICIOUS. I can't believe how moist it is! They said that they taste best at room temperature so to wait 20 minutes or so. The samples were cold and I loved that but room temperature was even better- they were right. We tried the chocolate chocolate chip cake and the marble cake (yellow cake with chocolate swirled in). They were both excellent and I can't even tell you which one I liked more. They also offer carrot for those of you who are carrot cake/cream cheese frosting fans, and also red velvet and a few others. Guess what- they even have a gluten free chocolate chip cake! That is awesome for my friends who love dessert but can't have gluten- I think it's really thoughtful and wise of them to offer that. I think they are closed on Sundays and open until 6:00 on weekdays and Saturdays. I encourage you to stop in and give Nothing Bundt Cakes a try. I won't change my rating based on the cake I ordered, but I do want to give some feedback: I ordered an 8 inch lemon cake for my husband's birthday. The order experience was pleasant, and my son and I had fun looking through the big book of cake design options. Cakes can be made 8 inch or 10 inch. I chose 8 inch, but it turns out the photos in the book are all 10 inch cakes, and the decorative options we chose did not fit well on the smaller size cake. Still, it was completely delicious. But I would like to have been warned that a giant bow would cover the entire cake, and there wouldn't be enough space for the birthday banner to stretch out. See photos if you'd like a better understanding. Maybe other decorative options could be offered for the smaller size cakes, or the shop could warn people that their selections might look a bit silly piled on a small cake. read more
