Hosted my niece's bridal shower at Suzette's on Saturday (8/8). So many compliments - many saying it was the best shower they've attended. The food was delicious. We had the English tea. Lovely first plate with tea sandwiches and a souffle. The attentive, kind and hard working wait staff passed around extra sandwiches. Then came warm, flaky scones served with lemon curd and Devonshire cream (as they should be served), followed by a dessert trio. The tea being served was so good. For foodies, know that they use quality ingredients. Excellent cheeses. Bread that was soft yet stood up to the toppings. I appreciated how helpful Carol was with special food needs (GF, vegan, etc). Staff confirmed with each person what they were getting the day of the event. She was also very helpful in general. I live in Texas, have never been to Suzette's and felt at ease that it would all pull together. Parking in the garage across the alleyway was a bonus. So convenient. I highly recommend them for your small event (room holds 30ish people). They were also very accommodating to the small children who attended so bonus family friendly. read more

I've visited this quaint little French bistro many times over the years, for brunches, lunches, Christmas teas, sometimes with company and sometimes happily solo, and I'm delighted to say they've truly elevated their game. There's a quiet pride in the air now, a sense that the place knows it has blossomed. Today's tea service was an absolute treat: elegant, cozy, and full of small delights that made the whole experience feel like a gentle exhale. Every morsel was beautifully balanced, from the crisp, refreshing cucumber canapés to warm flaky scones to the indulgent sweets served with a bright sherbet to cleanse the palate. The pumpkin soup was exquisite, velvety and comforting, and the trio of teas were brewed with the care of someone who respects the leaves. Service was excellent: friendly, attentive, warm without being intrusive, exactly what a tea service deserves. This is a special time of year at Suzette's, when you step in from the cold and are welcomed into a space that feels elegant, glowing, and lovingly kept, a perfect little escape, wrapped in French charm and good company. This review is based solely on the Christmas Tea that Suzette's hosts. I'd like to start by mentioning - we have about 20 years of Christmas teas behind us. My Mom and I celebrate this tradition yearly. And usually, they all are very similar. Think fancy hotels: the ritz, the intercontinental, the Drake...and even though Mom and I love them, the pastries every year are pretty much the same. Cold stale little sandwiches, cold refrigerated desserts, one teapot at the table, snobby waiters, etc etc. It is nice and familiar, we sort of have lowered our expectations over the years. We just pick a hotel and go. So when we reserved a new place - not a hotel!!, we were not sure what to expect. We were completely blown away. Throughout the whole experience, very nice and kind servers brought around refills of 3 types of teas. We were never running low on tea. All of the pastries were made either right then or that morning. I went to the bathroom and walked by a large pan of cranberry scones that came out of the oven and felt the warmth. The pumpkin bisque and delicious, warm quiche was to die for! The desserts at the end with the sorbet were incredible. We had never had a tea with warm food before. The hostess as well as all waiters and waitresses were friendly. There was a gentle piano playing Christmas music in the background. I also loved our cushioned seats. The temperature of the room was so comfortable. And the best part - they came around with extras of their pastries and snacks! We had never been to a tea where they passed out extras. The silverware and plates were also gorgeous - we didn't feel rushed and I loved that there wasn't some heavy metal tiered serving tray that other teas use. It also is casual - Mom was in jeans, some people were dressed up and others weren't. It felt like a special experience. We couldn't believe how amazing it was from start to finish. We already booked for 2026. For the cost ($50), you are getting an exceptional Christmas tea. Usually we pay double that per person as well for a less than mediocre tea experience. Nice quiet little restaurant. We stopped for breakfast. They were very accomodating for my three-year-old grandson. He had gelato and bacon and both were delicious. I had the berry crepes. The crepe was light and the berries were very fresh. My husband had some eggs and bacon and like that, as well. Service was great. read more

Cute little spot in downtown Wheaton. I misread the description at first, thinking it was just the bakery shop. It has a bakery for to go items OR the indoor dining option. We did not have a reservation, and it was during restaurant week, so we got put in the small room in the back. This is also the area they host cooking classes! I enjoyed my 3 course items from the restaurant week menu. The salad was delicious with strawberries, cantaloupe, and blueberries. For my main course, I had the coconut shrimp crepe. It was full of shrimp and chopped peppers. Coconut was sprinkled on top. For my dessert item, I went with the apple crepe. It was very flavorful. I took half home! One of my favorite places to go to brunch or afternoon tea is Suzette's Creperie. Today my husband and I went to brunch with my friend and her mom. I started with French pear tea service. The four of us all shared the appetizer special, shrimp beignets. Huge shrimp covered in beignet batter. Yes please! Whenever I go to brunch at this restaurant, I always get the Suzette's Benedict. There is nothing like this dish. It's light, flavorful and utterly the most delicious thing I've ever eaten for breakfast or brunch. It's definitely not a typical eggs Benedict as it's made with an egg soufflé and a slice of ham laying on brioche with guyere cheese, baked and then covered with the lightest lemon sauce. It's really perfection! The best part of the meal other than being together with special friends was that our server Axel remembered me from a previous visit when I took my sister for afternoon tea for her birthday. He is such a charmer, friendly and provides great service. I was so happy to see him again. It was my first time having a crepe. The restaurant has a lot of neat nooks and crannies. We were seated in the way back (didn't know where we were being seated at first, haha). I ordered the ham and cheese crepe, side salad, and apple pie (restaurant week $35). Their coffee was great. The food was great, too. The apple pie slice was huge. It's more of an upscale place. I want to give this place a better review, but I did not have the greatest experience. I came on a Saturday night and made reservations through Open Table without any issues. There seemed to be live music in the main room but we were sat by the door across from the bar. I had hoped that making reservations would have given us slightly better seats. Overall, it seemed to be an older crowd. I think most people were 50+ years old. Regardless, our waitress and any other employee we encountered were super friendly and helpful. We started with the three cheese soufflé. It was delicious but only came with three tiny pieces of bread which was barely enough to accompany half of the appetizer. For my meal, I wanted to order one of their crepes. It is a creperie after all. Our waitress recommended the spicy coconut shrimp crêpe so that's what I went with. It was good and came with a decent amount of shrimp. However, there was so much sauce that made it feel more like a soup than a crepe. The side salad was good, but again, slightly disappointing that it didn't come with any extra vegetables like carrots or tomatoes (or fruit like in the other Yelper's pictures). We finished the night with the Suzette's dessert crepes. I thought it said it came with a scoop of ice cream, but it turned out to just be a pile of whip cream that melted in 2 seconds. Everything was tasty and good but way more food than we wanted and very expensive. Service was friendly but inconsistent. Two entrees were different than what was ordered. Disappointing. First time trying this restaurant as I've heard about it for years. I don't have much of a sweet tooth so I would always associate crêpes with sweets, but they had a number of tasty sounding savory crêpes as well as quiche and other entrées. My friend and I decided to split two dishes to try the eggs with herbs as well as the beef crêpe. Both dishes came with a nice salad with fruits and a mini croissant that was delicious. We both really enjoyed the eggs that we're very soft scrambled with potatoes and crusty bread. Neither of us were a big fan of the beef crêpe, but would like to try the wild mushroom or spinach and Gouda next time. I've also heard they have an extensive fondue menu at dinner. Really nice ambience with a few comfortable chairs by a fireplace and multiple rooms for sitting. Researched teas in the area to celebrate a birthday with my daughter and daughters-in-law. We settled on Suzette's because of the English Tea price of $42/per person and made reservations for 4 for March 2nd. The big day arrived, we were seated, and our waiter gave us our menus. The menu price for the English Tea was $42/per person, which we selected. When our bill arrived, we saw that they charged us $50 per person for the English Tea. I brought it to the manager's attention thinking it was a mistake, and she said the prices had changed in January (we went in March), but they hadn't changed the menus yet. She also stated we had to pay the new price. We didn't want to argue so we paid the bill. This experience left a bad taste in our mouths. I called the next day to talk to the manager (Carol). She apologized and said the Owner (Donna) will call me back within a few days. I waited a week and Donna never called. I called and spoke to another manager who told me they could change the prices at any time without notice. It seemed normal to her that the menu price didn't necessarily have to reflect the actual price charged. And of course, we were not informed at any time about the price change. It was I who had to point out this discrepancy. This manager said the owner Donna is out of town but will call me next week to discuss it. Again, no word from owner Donna. So, the owner's solution to a legitimate customer concern is to ignore it, hoping it'll just go away. Well, we have gone away and will stay away from Suzettes! While we completely understand that prices can change, under no circumstances should the stated/published prices be different than the price charged. If the menu is incorrect it is the responsibility of the establishment to notify the customer that the menu is in error BEFORE they order the item! We are Wheaton residents and based on this blatantly unethical behavior, we will never patronize Suzettes again and will warn our family and friends about their deceptive practices. read more

Everything here, from walking in, being greeted, seated, great service, quick food delivery, amazing bakery, adorable setting, clean. I could go on and on. Center of Wheaton you can grab bakery to go, sit down to eat, and then get some bakery to go. Come back and get more bakery ;) I had the spicy coconut Thai shrimp crepe. Ohhhhh I could have eaten 2 plates although i would not have had room for dessert. Everything about that shrimp and crepe was perfection. Butter, I am sure of it, cream yeah whatever. Worth raising the cholesterol for this! I would have a hard time ever getting anything else but I can only imagine it's all amazing! Went to Suzette's for their afternoon tea service. It's a cute little restaurant in downtown Wheaton. You can either choose from their English or French tea service (entree portions differ). I loved that you could choose your entree in the French service so we went with that(choose from crepes or quiche). We both got two different crepes which were rich and flavorful and came with a light summer salad of greens and fruit. The 2nd and 3rd courses consisted of scones and then a dessert of choice. It's always a fun Holiday Season when we get a chance for all the Ladies & Little Ladies in our group to get together for a "Tea Party!" at Suzette's Creperie! Everything was very nice & the all of the decorations added to our excitement for the Holidays! There was one absolute standout of our experience...our very sweet & knowledgeable Servers! We had 2, & up to maybe 5 at one point! (we are a large group) The girls explained every type of Tea they were pouring & everything we were eating! These beautiful young ladies were sweet, knew answers to all of our questions and were very kind to our large, slightly loud group! Terrible experience. Went for Sunday brunch. I'm going to preface this review with the fact that my friend and I have both waited tables and we understand that issues happen, but this was ridiculous. The server took a very long time to come to our table, bus boy didn't even come over to fill our water glasses for quite a while. They were moderately busy, but not crazy busy. My friend ordered steak and eggs and there was a hair in the steak. When they remade the meal, the steak was rare instead of the originally requested medium. No one really seemed to care about the issues with the meal -- barely apologized for either problem. The manager came over while they were remaking the steak and eggs, and while she provided an apology for the hair in the food, it seemed half-hearted. We had to ask the server to have the item comped off the bill. My friend didn't end up eating the steak at all since it wasn't cooked the way it was requested. I had to flag the server down almost every time we needed something; he really wasn't coming over to check on us proactively despite the issues we were experiencing. The rest of the food - our salads and my French scrambled eggs - were lovely, but the overall experience there was so bad that we probably won't ever go back. This place is pretentious and outdated inside. The service is friendly enough, if a bit slow. Food is aggressively mediocre. The Croque Monsieur was not great and the southwest soup tasted pre-made. Fruit salad on greens didn't really add anything to the meal. My husband's beef bourguignon crepe was certainly better but the macaroons were quite dry. This review is for Suzette's Three Course English tea served at 2pm, by reservations. 4 ladies. Overall - Food was good. Presentation and Service could be improved very easily. 1. Three out of 4 of us selected the Pear Vanilla tea, I believe it was. Sorry, they were out of it. What is your 2nd choice? 2. I had to ask to have her bring us some water for our water glasses. She kerplunked the ice water carafe in the middle of the table. So it was serve ourselves and then pass the carafe to the next person. It was awkward having to pass the heavy carafe across the table. Shouldn't she have poured us our waters? 3. After we ate the items on our plates, she asked if we would like more. Sure! So she brought out some extra items on a cookie sheet and served us from there. It would have been nicer if she had brought these extra items out on a pretty plate or tray rather than the utilitarian cookie sheet. 4. Scones course. The scones are made fresh and they were delicious. Here again, an attention to detail would have made a difference. She explained that the scones are served with Devonshire Cream and lemon curd. So we get our scones and she puts down one plate that has a tiny, tiny paper cup of Devonshire Cream and a tiny, tiny paper cup of lemon curd. For all 4 of us. So each of us was careful to take just a tiny bit of each so that there would be some for the others. Again, pass the plate to the others. It is awkward having to take care of passing the plate and the knife that went with it, while trying to eat, etc. etc. IMO, each person should have gotten their own tiny, tiny paper cup of Devonshire Cream and Lemon curd. Sure we could have asked for more Devonshire Cream and Lemon curd but honestly, I was getting tired of having to ask for basic items such as water and enough Devonshire Cream and lemon curd to put on my scones. 5. Dessert saves the day! As it often does. You get to choose any dessert you'd like. I got the crepes Suzette. It was wonderful. Came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a scoop of whipped cream. Can I just say oh. My. Gawd! I think this is my new favorite restaurant. Our server Ethan was a dream and I plan to ask for him in the future. We had tea, juice, crescents in flavors of chocolate, strawberry cream cheese, and blueberry cream cheese. They were soft and buttery and delicious. We then had the cheese souffle appetizer which was fantastic, I plan to have the Benedict with souffle in the future! Next for entrees we had the beef bourguignon crepe which was absolutely amazing, the beef tender and the sauce smooth, luscious, and flavorful. We also had the spinach souffle crepe and let me tell you...this is one of the four best dishes I've had in my life. The sauce and the melted cheese was a life experience and I kid you not I cried on the first bite. I had to share a bite with my friend so he could experience this as he needed it in their life. We followed this with a plethora of desserts shared amongst the table. Crepes Suzette which was so good, had I been home I would have picked the plate, vanilla and chocolate creme brulee and chocolate mousse cake which were all heavenly. Holiday teas are hard to find in normal times, let alone during all the covid restrictions. I was thrilled to be able to book this for my girls and my mom and me over Christmas break. I didn't realise that the tea would be done for the whole room at once - like a banquet and really felt for the young servers rushing to make thing work. We had a few minor snags but certainly nothing I would say would cost a star and the food and tea was delicious. I also loved that kids could have hot chocolate in cute mugs with marshmallows and that their plates were designed to be a little more kid-friendly! I would totally come back and recommend this to anyone looking for a beautiful way to mark the season with family or friends in a friendly and warm setting (far less sterile than the one downtown everyone thinks of) read more

This was my second time in Wheaton and I had remembered this place from my visit in July. It looked like it might be a good option for some morning caffeine, so we stopped in on a weekend morning. We walked in and weren't immediately greeted, despite there being no wait and someone at that hostess stand. Eventually the older woman asked us if we were there for the brunch buffet, to which I explained we were just there for some drinks to-go. She pointed us to the young ladies working behind the bakery counter. We ordered our drinks. They took way too long to prepare. At least 10 minutes with no customers in front of us. These were not elaborate drinks, either. We spent around $12 including a tip (which should not have been left by my husband) and the drinks were terrible. Both tasted like hot watered down milk. No flavor whatsoever. What a waste of money. I told my husband that next time we're sticking with what we know. He tossed his drink and we went down the street to Starbucks. The pastries, slices of pie and quiche looked delicious. $28 for a full quiche didn't seem too expensive to me, but I love quiche. Would return to Suzette's again, but definitely not for the coffee drinks or the customer service. Most of the girls working appeared they could be the granddaughters of the hostess. Customer service needs to improve all around; at least for the take out orders. And here's a tip: lend a warm 'welcome!' and helpful hand to customers who are new to your establishment. Especially in Wheaton where there are a million other restaurants to choose from. read more

My best friend and I usually take each other here for our birthdays and it never disappoints. We always get the spicy coconut shrimp appetizer to share. Any of the quiche or crepe flavors are great! Wesley, our server, was so fun and knowledgable! I loved a previous reviewer's comment about the atmosphere here and do agree--"love your welcoming, slightly worn ambiance. She was super friendly and helpful. We ordered the Fondue for Two and I highly recommend it. It was one of the best appetizers we ever had. When we ran out of bread our server asked if we wanted more. We didn't want to get too full so we said no. She recommended we take the extra cheese home and use it next day over eggs. We did...it was delicious! My wife ordered a Ham and Cheese Crepe with a bit of fresh greens on the side. It was delicious. I had Sole Meuniere. I loved it. It was served with nice fresh veggies and mashed potatoes. (The dish didn't need the mashed potatoes.) We had planned to leave and get dessert somewhere else as we had drinks before dinner across the street at Proof 5. (That's another review.) After looking at the dessert menu we decided to stay. We had a Crepe stuffed with Apples. We were glad we stayed. They tell me they have live piano music every other Saturday and Jazz on the patio in the summer. Oh, they also have a bakery. Really wanted to love this place but was a bit disappointed in their tea service. A few suggestions for the owner. The area in which you have tea is dead silent. You must whisper or it's rude. Any music would be greatly appreciated by your guests. The tea presentation is lacking. Food is served on a plate. No tiered tray, etc. The food you are given is enough for a small child (4 mini pieces). Although they do ask if you would like an additional pieces it is so underwhelming to be served 4 pieces of tiny pastries. The bakery and coffee shop is not only delicious, but all of the staff is great. Nothing but good things to say about the staff and the food itself. I wold come back again and just have lunch and order tea rather than the tea service. It is underwhelming for the price. read more

We came back for a quick business lunch and asked for a quiet corner. Our hostess seated us in an insignificant part of the restaurant and we really wanted to sit by the window with a view . Our server Tracy was so sweet and pleasant that we quickly felt much better. I got the lavender orange tea and my boss got the Assamese tea . The scones were delicious and lunch portion of salmon was big enough to share , the crab cakes had a kick of spice in it but wish they were a bit more well done.
