Plantain Nuggets
Deforio B.

Nourish is a delightful plant-based cafe and juice bar located in the Northern Liberties section of Philadelphia. When you first walk in, it gave apothecary vibes with the medicinal wall to the right, but jus a few inches away were the premade smoothies and juices. Here you can dine-in or take out. I chose to dine-in. You can place your order at the kiosk or at the counter. OK, so here's what I ordered: Vegan scallops: these are made with seasoned trumpet mushrooms. It also comes with a dipping sauce. The mushroom were not chewy and had a good texture. 4/5 Plantain nuggets: these were deep fried green plantains mixed with vegetables and then deep fried. They were crispy and flavorful with and without the dipping sauce. 5/5 Banging Buffalo Quesadilla: these were FANTASTIC! You gotta get these every time you visit. Nothing but goodness in every bite. It came with a side kale salad that was also very good. The kale wasn't tough and had a good blend of seasonings. 5/5 Chick UN cheesesteak: this was delicious. It was cooked to perfection. The bread was crispy, the vegan cheese was blended evenly throughout the sandwich. 5/5 Quinoa Stirfry: this was sautéed with onions, peppers, ginger, carrots, zucchini, and mushrooms. I should have gotten soy sauce to give it a bit more flavor, but it was still very good. 4/5 I got some sweet potato fries just because. Y'all know how they taste, so no description needed. LOL Overall, Nourish is a winner!! The food was made to order and served HOT-which is always a plus in my book. They also serve breakfast. So there is something for everyone. Make it your business to stop by and enjoy the food and the vibes. Til we eat again ....

I've never seen a "chicken" made with enoki before, but it works! The chick'un platter came with a side of sautéed kale and vegan Mac and cheese. Both were delicious! The mango pineapple smoothie that I had was also well crafted. This restaurant is cafe style, low key, and would make a wonderful spot to stop in for any meal. Now if you'll excuse me....I need to go back to start making my way around the extensive smoothie and juice menu!

Visited twice -- once for brunch and another time for dinner -- and I just can't get enough of this place. I'm not even vegetarian or vegan, but the flavors here are absolutely incredible and so satisfying. The space itself is beautiful, filled with greenery and even a small open market. The woman at the register was so kind and patient as I asked a ton of questions for recommendations. I honestly wouldn't change a thing about any of the dishes I've tried and highly recommend the following: the Breakfast Burrito, Quinoa Stir Fry, Divine Dish (a must-try sampler of several items), and their smoothies!

Just left Nourish, I was recommended to go there from a store I was at in Philadelphia, the staff is friendly and welcoming! My best friend and I were recommended the Taco Platter and Chick'un Cheesesteak with the Golden Glow Drink! The food was amazing and fresh! Every bite had so much flavor! Definitely will be going back!

Always stop in when I'm in town or close enough to drive! The owner is so sweet and welcoming. Not only can you get a healthy and delicious meal. They also have herbs, teas, soursop smoothies, desserts and even fresh fruit sometimes. Some of my favs are the lions mane mushrooms , Tu-no wrap and banana nut loaf slices

As someone who is Jamaican this place is it ! With its vegan twist on classics I was not disappointed. I felt like I transported back HOME . All the herbs and essentials being right there was amazing. Being able to get a meal and healthy supplements and detoxes. I am excited to try the woman's wellness drink as well after having such a successful meal. Also make sure to try the Seamus ginger tea !!!

My wife and I tried Nourish yesterday, and we're still talking about the experience. Not only was the food absolutely out of this world, but the entire atmosphere of the restaurant made the visit unforgettable. The owner, deserves a special shout-out. She spoke with us a little bit about her journey and her inspiration for the restaurant. The way she interacted with her staff was so patient, supportive, and reassuring. She reminded them that if they needed help up front, all they had to do was let her know and she would immediately step in. That level of leadership says everything about the heart behind this place. The menu itself is a breath of fresh air; fresh, creative, and full of beautiful Caribbean influences that give the dishes a unique twist. Every bite had layers of flavor that made it obvious how much thought and passion goes into the cooking. On top of that, the restaurant is simply beautiful. Plants fill the space in a way that makes it feel alive, calming, and grounded. It's one of those environments where you immediately feel good just being there. Highly recommend this place if you want good quality, flavorful food in Philly!

I am so glad we braved the snow, ice, & cold to come here for dinner; it was worth it. When we first walked in there were people in line, but we were not clear on if that was for takeout or eat-in; after asking someone we learned it was for both. We ordered our food, was given a number, & we sat at a Tae. The dinning area reflects a plant based themed restaurant, we liked the ambiance. Our food came out, it was delicious. My favorite things on my plate was the vegan oxtials, it was AMAZING, the Kale, and the chicpea Alfredo (I think that is what it was called). My friend's black-eyed peas were yummy. And our desserts, lawd they were good!!! We both took leftovers home, u won't be disappointed visiting here... I promise!

Delicious vegan food. Nice portion. Ordered via DoorDash and packed well. Avacado Toast is healthy and filling; 2 meals for me along with the Tropical smoothie. The Chick'un Platter is so good. The tasty broth from the kale did saturate one of my Chick'un pieces. However, I am very pleased with my Birthday Meal provided by Nourish!

It's great to find a vegan plant-based eating establishment that's also for a flare for figuring out how to make meals culturally inspired. I stopped into Nourish when working nearby, and was welcomed as soon as I walked in. I tried the lions mane appetizer and vegan oxtail. Both dishes were amazing! I can't wait to come back!

We used Nourish to cater a party for 20 people, and everything was delicious. We ordered many items, all of which were well-prepared and tasty. We ordered the following: --Stuffed butternut squash --Raw Kale Salad --Mac 'n cheese - scrumptious and creamy. --Stuffed mushrooms - excellent. --Mediterranean Platter (garlic hummus, stuffed grape leaves, multigrain pita, cucumbers - the grape leaves were especially terrific. --Rosemary veggie steak skewers- very good --Mushroom lentil Wellington-our favorite - delicious! Most of the people at the party were not plant-based and loved this food. Everything came in aluminum baking pans and looked really nice. They were very helpful by phone before we placed the order. The delivery was timely, and the delivery person was friendly and knowledgeable, in addition to all of the amazing food! We would definitely would use them again - highly recommend!

It has…read morethe ease of a neighborhood café, yet the confidence, visual sophistication, and social energy of a much larger restaurant. We have eaten at the high tops, in the main dining room, and at the tables extending into The Harper lobby, and each area feels like part of the same unified experience. The colors and lighting inside are especially warm and inviting, giving the room a glow that feels cozy and uplifting, especially during a Philadelphia winter. Food remains at the center of the experience, and my order is always the Jerusalem bagel with egg and cheese. On the rare occasions when turkey bacon appears, I add it as a welcome delicacy and a little extra sustenance, though the bagel is already delicious on its own. The cinnamon sugar kubaneh, the chocolate chip cookie, and the Bloody Mary are excellent. K'Far has also expanded its selection of bowls and salads since we ate here most regularly, and they look consistent with the quality of everything else. These days, a full breakfast here does not always fit within our budget, but I still make a point of stopping in for OX Coffee, which is delicious and, happily, roasted in Philadelphia. The Yemenite latte is another distinctive pleasure, aromatic and satisfying without feeling like a novelty created merely for attention. The staff is consistently charming, welcoming, and composed, and the team's continuity and energy suggest that people genuinely enjoy working here. When our budget allows, I will absolutely return to eat. Perhaps the clearest expression of K'Far's brilliance arrives in one memory from a cold, radiantly sunny Saturday, when "Inspector Norse" by the Norwegian producer Todd Terje comes through the speakers as the restaurant buzzes around us. The track, the worldly crowd, and the aroma from the kitchen create the elusive feeling Steve Cook and Mike Solomonov understand so well: people go out to eat because they want to feel seen and be briefly transported into a more vivid version of life. I already love K'Far and The Hoxton as separate brands, so seeing them come together at The Hoxton in Williamsburg feels like an unusually natural and exciting partnership. Creating this kind of social magnetism inside a bakery and café is a subtle achievement, and Philadelphia is richer for having a place with this much flavor, warmth, and personality.

The $10 martinis on Friday were an excellent deal and definitely one of the highlights of the evening. A well-priced martini always sets a promising tone, and these did exactly that. The space itself is huge and very clean, with plenty of tables and seating, so it was easy for everyone to spread out, settle in, and enjoy themselves without feeling packed in. A major point in its favour is the setup for watching sports. They have a massive wall of TV screens, plus more TVs throughout the space, which made it very easy to keep up with multiple games at once. No awkward craning for a view, no fighting for the one good seat, just a very solid setup for a group outing. Overall, it was a fun experience and very much in line with the good times we have had at other City Tap locations in DC. A lively, well-run spot for drinks and groups, and one we would happily return to.

I started with a cocktail and really enjoyed it. It was fruity, well-balanced, and had just the right amount of alcohol without being overpowering. Based on recommendations, I ordered the burger. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype for me. It could have been cooked better, and overall I wasn't particularly impressed with it. What stood out most was the service. I typically go for a savory breakfast, but the stuffed brioche French toast was speaking to me. I can never turn down banana! The rest of our table ordered avocado toast (x2) and fried eggs with bacon. Everyone was really happy with their choices and an added bonus was that our food came out quickly. I ordered the House Angus Burger with sweet potato fries. It was solid, flavorful, and definitely filling. My friend got the Bella Vista Omelet with home fries, and we both agreed that while the food was good, it felt like standard brunch fare rather than anything particularly memorable. Based on the long wait and the hype surrounding Sabrina's, I think we were expecting the food to really stand out. In my opinion, the dishes we tried were comparable to what you'd find at a quality chain brunch spot like First Watch. That's not necessarily a bad thing, the food was satisfying, but it didn't quite justify the lengthy wait. That said, the menu has plenty of more unique and creative options that we didn't try. I'd be open to coming back and ordering one of those specialty dishes next time. Overall, I left satisfied with the meal and service.
