Didn't feel like he massaged any muscle groups for very long. Just a lot of pressure put on my shoulders and hips etc. weird things done that I haven't experienced before. I was in severe pain in a few specific upper body areas. I set the appointment incorrectly in my calendar and had an another appt right after my massage. I panicked and almost took off. Glad I stayed. Massages are crucial to me and my career. Dermatologists and a great masseuse are so important to good health, less pharma. Loved the clearance table. After much difficulty I was able to obtain a reservation for my wife to have a spa day. This reservation had to be made months in advance. And so I wanted to ensure that my wife's reservation was still listed and that there were no problems that needed handling before her big day. Unfortunately, the Kennewick location NEVER seems to answer their phone, nor do they give callbacks. They do not seem to have an email to write to either. I am afraid that such lack of concern on their part could translate to an "We're sorry, but that reservation isn't in our system," on the day of her visit. Can I rate their service? The business is unable to make scheduling accomodations. I bought services as christmas presents for a girls day and Nouveau is unable to accomodate the party size (3 people) on Saturdays or later in the day during the week (you know.. after work). They will not refund me the $400 that I've already spent on the services because they don't give out refunds - but when I spoke to them immediately after making the purchase I was never led to believe that scheduling mani/pedis would be nearly impossible. In spite of COVID everything is pretty normal everyone is masked and you cannot get your own water anymore but that was to be expected. The other day I was asked to and when I asked why, I was told it was a policy in place for 2 years!!! WHAT! Have been going to get facials to help with my acne, I had told the lady I'm allergic to gluten and she continued to use products with oat and wheat. I called to cancel my next appt and the receptionist didnt even apologize. Then a manager called and just wanted to argue that wasn't the reason I was breaking out and not apologizing for the incident (I've had this happen before I found out I was allergic). They gave me some products to help but didnt even give enough for 2 uses, after paying $300+. Will not be going back. read more

I was trying to find someone to do Shellac for me before leaving on my Honeymoon, and this place offered it and had the appointment time I needed. Not a very nice location, right off of Gage in a mini-strip mall with a side entrance, but whatever this is Tri-Cities (everywhere is like that). Inside is standard Salon design, but a bit lower-end then I expected for the prices they charge. Service was interesting to say the least. I checked-in and my nail tech didn't even introduce herself or welcome me to the salon as a new client (I still don't know her name even after my services). She warmed up and starting talking eventually, but it was very awkward. My husband went for a pedicure the next day and had a similar experience; they just aren't very personable people. Also, I don't really care to hear them talk amongst themselves about their plans for the weekend while I'm paying $45 for them to do my toes...I think it shows a lack of professionalism. My biggest complaint with this place, however, is the prices. They are flat-out ridiculous. They charge $20 extra for Shellac polish, and if that wasn't outrageous enough, they charge $15 to have it removed! Most Salons do the Shellac upgrade for free, especially if you are getting a mani and pedi combo initially, and the removal is then included in the total price. My "Express Manicure" was not worth more than $15, yet I was charged $45. The "Express Pedicure" I'll admit was very thorough, but at $45 should I really expect less? I always tip very well because I know people work hard and can't help the Salon prices, and that only added to an atrocious bill for one simple visit. The front desk was nice enough, but mostly concerned with talking amongst themselves and not worried enough about the clients (again, I don't care to hear their personal stories as I wait for my services). I know I can find somewhere less expensive, more welcoming and professional than Nouveau in this area. I'll be switching salons for my next services. read more

Horrible customer service!!! I have been there twice.. The first time we over paid for mediocre (at best) mani pedis. We were expecting top quality from a place like that, but that wasn't the case. Our eyebrow waxes were poor quality also. She rushed us in and out. The second time was absolutely horrible!!! The girl from Seattle did my hair and she was so rude! She made me feel very uncomfortable and was telling me how thin and fine my hair was, so thin that she couldn't give it layers in the front. My hair is thin but not that thin, not to mention I've been getting this same hairstyle for 6 years from someone who knows hair. She was also asking very personal questions, like where my husband and I met, how long we were married before we had my first child. It was so awkward! If you want quality and to be treated well this isn't the place to go!!!! read more

4 stars are because it's pretty spendy. I love coming here to treat myself to the occasional facial or body treatment. They do a great job. The environment is tranquil and relaxing. Update: I received a call from the manager this morning. She deeply apologized & informed me that the gift certificate should've been honored with no extra charge. She immediately issued a refund. I appreciate her making it right. My husband got me the express yourself spa services & upgrade facial for my birthday last September (it clearly said Express Yourself with upgrade facial) on the gift certificate. I called & booked my appointment for today. I had a great experience with everyone. Esther the masseuse was fabulous, so was the ladies who gave me a facial & a mani & pedi. Upon checkout I was told that I owed an additional $20 because I "added the manicure". I made the comment that i thought that was included in the package, and if I would have known i wouldn't have had the mani done. Anyway, I paid the extra and left. When i got home I jumped on the computer... per the Internet the Express yourself package comes with a mani & pedi. I guess the prices increased from the time my husband bought it & when I used it. I called to clarify & was hoping they would be like oh I'm so sorry, let us fix that for you... um no. I feel like they should have honored the gift certificate. read more

I can only speak from a massage perspective at this point, but I was very happy with my experience. Jessica was my massage therapist, she was friendly, and conversation didn't feel forced or fake (she only engaged in conversation if I initiated, aka if I just wanted to relax in silence, I could). My spouse booked the massage, a Nouveau Hot Stone Massage, my previous impression of stone massages were blown away. It was a mixture of hot stones to loosen up an area for a few minutes, followed by a deep tissue massage of the specific area (different pressures were an option). I really like the staff and the atmosphere here. I had my first massage today here with my sister and I have to say, I'm not impressed with the person who did my massage. She was very very friendly but she wouldn't listen to me at all. I had told her I had whiplash from an accident previously and she was trying to tell me that I didn't have whiplash... I only told her that so she knew in advance. I thought that was weird because she didn't want to believe me but I brushed it off. She ignored a few of my requests throughout the massage and called my sister my mom multiple times. My sister enjoyed her massage with her therapist so it may be worth trying again with a different therapist but this first impression was not very good. I went to Nouveau for a bikini was because I couldn't get in with my usual aesthetician. I would NOT recommend this spa for waxing services. They use barbaric strip waxing instead of using hard wax. I came in for a color correction the other day with Amanda, she was wonderful! She was fast for what needed to be done and I ended up with the best hair color and cut that I've ever had. I got an ash blonde balayage lob cut, which isn't an easy thing to do well, and it turned out so cute. Definitely go see her to do your hair, and to those that work there: give that girl a raise!
