This mediocre nail salon has a fresh hustle I've never seen at a salon before, it's worth sharing. So there I was...I walked in and they tell you gel only for all services, which to that I said ok fine. Weird to not offer the option to customers as nail salon, but no worries and I didn't even blink at it. Then my feet are in the pedicure bowl, they proceed to increase the already not competitive pricing ($30 for a base pedicure, and then $32 for a manicure), with an additional $15 per service. I asked why, they said because of the gel color. It's brilliant really, I mean they nipped me for an extra $30 off of a simple Mani-Pedi, no acrylic, no designs, just your basic cleanup and color. And as a busy working mom who hasn't carved time out for a Mani-Pedi in months, out of desperation I agreed to it. I in fact never got a foot mask so I asked politely, and they told me the towels with this lotion that burned my skin was the "FOOT MASK". If I could give NO star I would! Three of us stopped in for 2 pedicures and a full set. When we were asked what pedicure we would like we told them "deluxe" of which they did not do. Then when I asked for regular nail polish the guy told me all they did was gel polish. I figured "okay" and moved on. When they asked us if what scent we wanted we chose a scent, thinking "oh that's nice they have scented water soaks". Wait until the end of this review. My friend who got the full set was horrified at her bright pink "French" manicure after telling the nail tech she didn't want "ombré" multiple times, and when she explained she wanted French manicure she ended up with bright pink nails that are crooked and chunky. Not only that her nail tech was answering the phone constantly while trying to do her nails. When I went to check out I was charged for a "gel pedicure" at $38 per pedicure PLUS $15 for gel polish.....ummm that is the ONLY choice!!!!! Plus apparently when they asked us about the scented foot soak that was when we apparently committed to the $38 pedicure instead of the "$28" version. So they charge you $38 for a gel pedicure but then up charge another $15 for the polish????? WTF! Also while we were there a woman walked out after waiting 30 minutes for her appointment then called in and went off all over the speaker on the voicemail! Called last minute for a gel pedicure today and they were able to get me in quickly (on a Friday BEFORE NYE, even!)! Staff were on time, my technician was SO meticulous on my pedicure, extra thorough scrubbing of callouses, great trimming of cuticles, relaxing massage and the polish was perfect! They usually do a really good job (I believe the last that does a good job is named Tina? But I could be mistaken) but today was totally different. Kenny got super super busy and rushed through my nails, ignoring all of my requests. He was on FaceTime the entire time. I got charged for coffin nails when they were gross and square looking. The edges are super sharp and very inconvenient. Bad paint job on the sides too. The underside of my nails are really thick and I have a bit of a lip hanging from them. I'm mortified. I tried getting help after he was done, explaining that I don't like them, as politely as I could. He filed my nails while I was standing, embarrassing me in front of everyone, and then took the file that they gave me away from me. He was like "I don't understand what's wrong with them? They look good" and I was trying my best to explain how this isn't at all what I had wanted. On 5/22/19 I came into the salon to schedule my nail appointment with Kenny. He told me next availability would be next Thursday at 5pm. I repeated the date of Thursday May 30th, time 5pm. Kenny agreed. Fast forward to Thursday, May 30th, I arrived on time for my appointment. When greeted I told Kenny was there for my 5pm appointment. He looked at me funny and said "Are you sure?" I said, "Yeah I think so, did I get the day mixed up. You did say Thursday right?" Kenny told me to pick a color and have a seat, so I did. 5 min later he calls me over to his chair and starts my nail service. Half way through my service he sits up and tells me "By the way, I think you are wrong. You are wrong. You got the wrong date. That woman over there (points to client) made her appointment for today a long time ago. I told you Wednesday. I had a 5pm appointment not show up yesterday. That was you. Now I have to go really fast and I don't have time. But I still do your nail anyway." Keep in mind he is the 1st chair right when you walk in to the salon and there were 3 other ladies waiting for their service. So they could clearly hear him yelling at me for coming in. To which I replied, "I'm sorry, I thought you said my appointment was today, not Wednesday. I repeated the date and time last week when I was here and you agreed. Clearly I got the day wrong. You could have told me that instead of telling me to pick a color and sit down. I would have rescheduled my appointment. It's not a problem for me to reschedule. If it's that big of an issue, you can have someone else finish my nails and I won't be back." Kenny's response was "Thank you." Kenny finished my fill, but another nail tech painted my nails. I made a mistake, I got the date mixed up, that was my error. Instead of informing me and asking if I would be willing to reschedule, I was berated at his station in front of the entire salon and humiliated. That is UNACCEPTABLE AND I WILL NOT TOLERATE IT. I would have apologized for my mistake and asked if I could reschedule. Kenny might be one of the fastest, more talented nail techs in Tri. But his customer service is shit. If I am paying you for a service I expect to be treated with respect and not humiliated in front of the entire salon. read more

I only come here when I can't get into my regular salon... my acrylics usually look nice when I leave, but every time I come here a nail breaks. I've never had a problem with any of my nails breaking before, even when I have to go 3-4 weeks without a fill, but my nails never fail to break when I use this salon even just a week out. Usually I love getting my nails done here but today was a different story. I was getting a new set today and as the guy working on my nails was taking my old set off, he was being careless and unfocused and tore out a huge chunk of my thumb nail caused it to bleed everywhere and hurt very badly. Not once did he apologize and he informed me I wouldn't be able to get new acrylics for at least a month. And then once he put gel on my nails (poorly done as well) he still charged me and didn't even acknowledge the injury caused to my nail. So I usually go to Tina. Don't know what happened or if she still works there BUT she is awesome. The owner Kenny on the other hand...Takes credit for everyone's work. He stamps his name on every set. Just wrong. He is extremely rude, rough and was on facetime the whole appointment. He was ready to GO. The shape is horrible, the paint is coming off and it's only day 3. AND he upcharged me after giving me a set price. I actually found out that he used to work in my town and had to move an hour way to tri cities and find a new shop due to all the hate he got. He needs to start giving his worker's credit. A friend recommended this place. She told me to make an appointment with Kenny. I ended up walking in last minute and got another available tech. Didn't get his name but he was nice enough. I came in on a Thursday afternoon and didn't have to wait at all. I got a basic gel manicure. I was mostly pleased with how my nails were shaped (I did have to ask him to cut my pinky nail which was longer than the rest when I realized he wasn't planning on trimming it). I'm most pleased with how long they have lasted without any deterioration. In the past I've had issues with a gel polish getting a yellow tone or starting to peel after a week or so, but not this time. It's been two weeks and aside from the natural growth of my nail starting to show, they look just as shiny and good as the first day. I wish they provided those fingerless gloves to protect from the UV light that my previous salon had but that's minor. Overall good service for the price. read more

This was the third and last time I've been there. I am so disappointed in the way they act and the professionalism, as well as their service. 1st time was an elder man, he was nice and did what I needed with a fill. Second time, they passed me around, taking care of others and leaving me sitting there. I know that game, you get someone started so they can't leave and you get paid, because technically you already started a service. I did call all three times to make an appointment. Last night, after work I go in and the guy who started working on me asked if I wanted them shorter I said, yes just a little bit. He did my right hand crooked so I laughed and said "they are slanted" he tried again, but did the same thing, I stopped him before he messed up the others and showed him. Then the guy who I'm assuming was the owner, told me "sit down here! What you want." I tried to explain and he cut me off and said it's not finished, just wait. Ok. I get ya. No. What he did was so much worse. I washed my hands and paid and he asked if I wanted polish and I said no and left. No, I did not want him and his hot sweaty hands touching me ever again. I am now going to have to sit here and fix my crooked nails and then polish them myself. If you're going to be in this business, working with women and nails, you need to LISTEN and NOT INTERRUPT them and NOT MESS UP THEIR NAILS. We just moved to Kennewick and I'll tell you, their location was convenient, but I'll be going somewhere else. If you don't care what they do to your nails and don't mind spending over an hour in a place for a fill, seriously, I sat in the chair from start -nail polish removal and sanding down- for an hour and 15 minutes because they jump from people to people and pass you around. All my nails are slanted. These people act like you have no right to complain and gang up on you if there is a hint of a problem. They don't use inside voices not sure if it's the culture or what but ALL of them need to take a class or 50 in CUSTOMER SERVICE and how to talk to people without getting DEFENSIVE. So, I've been going here for more than two years and everything was always amazing til the last four to six months or so. I got a pedicure this past winter and when I took the polish off two weeks later, I found toenail fungus which I have never had before. I had to seek medical treatment for this and the first thing my doctor asked was if I had had a pedicure recently. As I started before, for a long time I had great experiences. But they have hired so many new people and are trying to push so many people through the salon, their customer service and hygiene have gone downhill. Just one week ago, I went to get my nails done before an event I was attending. Four days after I got them done, two of them (including one that had been totally replaced) were lifting and fell off on day 5. Under one of them was also a fungal issue. I'm going back to the doctor again. I did take notice that the tips they use on their Dremel tool were not being soaked in antiseptic like they used to. Due to this reason, despite how talented this group is, especially Kenny, the owner, I will be looking for a new salon to get my nails and pedicures done. It saddens me to write this, but fungal infection is a serious issue and others should be aware this is now an ongoing issue. read more
