Did a great job on the front end of my accord. Replaced hood, fixed bumpers and headlights and saved me money consciously wherever possible. Also did a rear bumper paint job for me and it turned out high quality and quick. Everything seems to have lasted well now that it's an year old plus the usual warranty anyways. Don't remember the name of the older gentleman there but ask for the main owner guy, he knows his numbers well. My non-oem hood had a slightly larger shut-gap more than the original one, and he tried his best though, so I dint mind it. That's the only reason for one star less on an otherwise five star service. read more

I cannot rave about this place enough. My family has been to Nova over the years and every time they do a great job. My aunt nearly totaled her Toyota Camry and after they were done with it, it looked brand new again. I've taken my Hyundai Elantra there twice now, both for front bumper repairs and it came out as good as new. I recommended a friend who owned a BMW 3 series to check them out since other body shops quoted him quite the high price and he chose Nova. Nova Body Shop is the best in town. They have repaired damage for our household 3 times, each time with great results. Most recently we needed to get a bumper repaired on our SUV. It was banged up by a pole during a careless reverse. Nova is a medium sized body shop that is not the shiny new larger places in town. It doesn't have a fancy customer lounge etc. it's a little rough bc it's a working body shop. But this worked to our benefit bc the overhead is lower. I got 3 quotes and then went to Nova. All from quality places that I researched online. Lowest quote was $1230. This was an out of pocket repair, we did not want to go through our insurance. All the body shops said the bumper could not be repaired it had to be replaced. Nova agreed the bumper had to be replaced but quoted $1070. That's not even the best part! When we picked up the car, they were able to fix the bumper after all! The final price ended being just $693!!! The bumper looked good as new and matched the paint of the rest of the car. Hoan Phan and the team at Nova Body Shop are wonderful. They are honest and look out for the best interest of the customer. Definitely shop around but check in with Nova. They just might be able to save you considerable cash too. read more

I have two "young adult" drivers in my household. A few months ago, my daughter rear-ended someone on MoPac because "they stopped ridiculously unexpectedly". Last week, my son attempted a left-hand turn out of a side street with no real view of the road and was hit because "there was no visibility". When the insurance adjustor asked him if anyone was cited, he replied "I was very excited". And so it goes. In both instances, we took the crushed cars to Nova Body Shop. They were terrific. Like other reviewers, my experience is that they were friendly, attuned to customer needs, aware we were paying cash rather than insurance-covered and thus looked for less expensive parts, and worked at a speed unheard of in insurance-run shops. With miles to go prior to my young adults hitting 25, my guess is I'll see these guys again. And I will relax knowing they won't mess around or try and trick us into paying for things that are not necessary. They are terrific. Honest. Helpful. And automatically go the extra mile to give you what you need! Both cars came out looking better than they have in years! read more

You know I wrecked my car and my insurance company (State Farm) trusts this body shop enough to see no need in sending one of their own appraisers to come out to look at the vehicle's damage personally. That speak volumes when an insurance company trusts this business too. A lot of other shops, an appraiser would have to come out and inspect the damage..... But Nova Body shop is on my insurance company's preferred list meaning they have the reputation of doing quality work and honest appraisal. The repairs would have been around $7500 and the owner recommended that I take a total loss (which I did) instead of repairing it, which meant no repair money for him! They have been in business for 3 decades and you can see why now. read more

I can't say enough about this place- these guys are the BEST. Earlier this year I had a pretty bad wreck. I did some research and read the great reviews and decided to see for myself. When I arrived, they greeted me and determined a quote promptly, explaining what exactly they would need to replace. (I also should mention I got a quote at 3 different repair shops and theirs was the most reasonable.)They completed the repair a day early- the process was a total breeze! (Well as much as it could be under the circumstances of course). Unfortunately this past Saturday I was hit head-on by an uninsured driver (lucky me), and had some damage to the front of my passenger side. I drove to Nova after work today and was greeted promptly by Hoan (again) who took a look at my car and said rather than have me worry about the full on repair of the cosmetic damage right off the bat, would try and mess with it (for free!) to see if I would be satisfied with the results. He and another employee came out with several materials and worked on it, and after 20 minutes it was looking SO great! Not perfect of course, but definitely good enough that I would forego the $400 -$600 repair fees. I offered to give them something for their time and they refused- just said they hoped I was happy with how it looked! Plus I know that if eventually I want to return for the full-on repairs, I know they'll do a great job, as they have before. This place is great, had two bids that were twice as much and was going to take one to two weeks to finish the job...Nova scared me in bidding half as much and getting the job done in two days..But the job was perfect and they touched up two places on the bumper that I didn't ask them to do.... the bumper was bid at $500 and a week by the other place. I went to Nova to get an estimate on repainting or touching up the front bumper on my 2 door 04 Honda Accord. I had brushed a parking wall and had some scratches and residue. They quickly took pictures and gave me an estimate for sanding down and repainting the front bumper (mainly because my paint is getting a little old and has one or two small spots peeling). I asked what would be the cost to only touch up the recent scratches, because within the next year or two I will probably repaint my car or get a new one anyways). He immediately went out, cleaned the spot (already making it look 10x better) and touched up the area. He even gave me the paint used to touch up the spots. And he did it all for free! They are truly experts at what they do and charge fairly- not enough in my opinion based on some of the estimates I've received from competing body shops. I recently struck a blown out tractor trailer tire with my 2010 Prius, ripping off the spoiler retainer and fender well. Nova were VERY friendly and professional! This is the best experience I have ever had getting a car repaired after a collision. The owner and his brother are so helpful. They fixed a poor paint job from another body shop that was starting to peel at no extra charged. Their work looked so good the did not want the other paint job to reflect on their great work. It is amazing to see the process they go through to repair cars. Some cars have to be almost rebuilt and they do it all right there . They are just amazing. And so very helpful . I've never been so happy to go to a body shop!!! Sad as I was to be hit while driving home from work last week, the discovery of Nova Body Shop actually made this a pleasant experience. First, the estimate was expertly done so that insurance would not deem it necessary to total my 13 year old car. Since they are an authorized repair shop, I didn't have to mess with insurance at all! As for the quality of work - a company so kind and fair in initial dealings doesn't have to go over and above on an older car that was probably $500 away from being totalled, but they did! Ready a day sooner than expected and it looks as new as possible. I haven't been this proud to drive it in years! I was a walk-in here (no appt scheduled). Hoan helped me very quickly. He inspected my car's damage, explained what needed to be replaced, repaired, repainted and created a printed estimate I could take with me (unlike 2 of the other shops I visited). They were competitive on their bid and I felt confident in their work after seeing them in action during my visit (everyone hard at it and really nice results). Both times they removed the scratches and added touch up paint for FREE, and fixed my bumper for no charge. I insisted on paying something but they said they weren't going to charge me. I needed a new tail light after a hit-and-run while I was parked. I went for an estimate, said to go ahead with ordering the new light, which was way less than I was expecting it to be, and was called the next day to tell me it had come in. Fu said to come in whenever I wanted and that it would take about 20 minutes for them to replace. I stopped in a couple days later and I was out the door in 15 minutes with my new light installed, no joke. They're the best!! read more

Nova has amazing customer service. They are honest and fair in their pricing, and they do great work. As a woman, I am always a little leery of fixing anything car-related due to bad experiences with dishonest shops, but I had none of these issues with Nova. They explained options and pricing so I could make an informed decision. I really felt respected as a customer. I brought my car in to get the rear bumper replaced, and they fixed some scrapes and dings I had on my car for free. It is rare to find a business with such great service nowadays. read more

I chose Nova based on excellent Yelp reviews. Let me tell you, I was NOT disappointed by any means! I dropped my car off on a Tuesday and they told me my car would be ready on Friday. I thought to myself "yeah right". To my surprise, they called me Friday morning saying my car was ready. I went to pick it up, and after examining my car, I noticed they had only repaired the hatchback, but not the scrapes on the bumper. There was some miscommunication and they didn't think those scrapes were part of this accident. Once I explained to him they were, he told me to leave it and he would have it ready on Tuesday. Low and behold, my car was ready first thing Tuesday morning. When I picked up my car, it looked brand new. Also, they took the time to hand wash my whole car (which hadn't been washed in months). They were very friendly and extremely helpful regarding my insurance claims as well. (I use State Farm) I hope I never have a need for Nova again, but no doubt I'll bring my car back to these guys should the need ever arise again! Thank to Nova for making my experience much less stressful than I have ever had in the past with body shops! read more

Found the folks here to be sincere, capable, and eager to please. The owner is an artist (check out the pencil drawing he did of his grandfather hanging behind his desk, or the unusual lotus flower burglar bars on the shop window), and he takes pride in his work. Since I was paying for the repair myself, they helped me save money by calling a long list of junkyards to find a suitable intact replacement part at the best price. Note: if you need a rental car first thing in the morning you might want to call the rental place (Hertz on Anderson) before heading for Nova, as the rental place took awhile (an extra 35 min after Nova called them) to arrive with the car. Nova did get me a better rental rate than my own insurance company. When I got the estimate they warned me that there was a possibility the damage might be more severe than it appeared from outside and might need part of the frame replaced which would add to the cost. The damage was worse than it looked (pictures to document internal damage provided) and I was a bit miffed that I wasn't immediately called about this, but when the owner refused to charge me for the extra labor of cutting out the old and welding in the new frame part, honoring his original estimate, I felt petty for complaining in the face of such generosity. My car was hit in a parking lot - ruined a piece of wheel trim, and left a nasty black mark by my rear passenger wheel well. After reading lots of reviews (and wondering for weeks where I should go), I stumbled upon Nova Body Shop. When I stopped by their shop, they came right out to greet me, and immediately assessed the damage. Within about 5 minutes, they gave me an estimate that was unbelievable - the total damage was less than $50 INCLUDING labor! They figured out a way to simply replace the damaged trim, and clean up the black mark without needing to repaint. They ordered the trim part - it was in within a few days. I stopped by today to have the new part installed - They had it fixed within 10 minutes of arriving with no appointment. Their work was outstanding, service was incredible - They could have easily charged me $100-200 for this repair - their honesty simply amazed me - as well as the fast easy service. One of the shadiest shop I have ever been too. Will never trust my car with them ever again. You might think that they did a good job on your car, but good thing I was vigilant and saw the many flaws after they have "fixed" in the body and paint. Only after a year the paint started cracking. From the very beginning the process was very unprofessional. The gentleman took pictures of my car wrote up the estimate, and then handed it to me? He didn't take me back to his desk sit down with me and explain in detail the work to be done. By contrast the other gentleman who I assume to be the owner he was very personable, he sat down with the guy he was working with. He pulled the pictures up on his computer monitor and explained the work to be done. I called later because I was confused about the cost of the paint; it was listed on the estimate in hours rather than cost of the paint. I still don't know what it meant. I've read other rating saying how they cleaned their cars, my car was by no means dirty when I brought it in but they could have at least vacuumed! Also it would be nice to hear them say THANK YOU! Then to top it all off when I get into my car sitting on the passenger seat in my headlight assembly? My seats are cloth and light colored! I am all about customer service and feeling appreciated and I did not notice either at this place. Will never go again nor will I ever refer anyone to Nova Body Shop! read more
