Thane is a master in dent repair! I "kissed" the ladder in my garage, resulting in significant damage to the passenger side of my SUV. I had an estimate from the "dent repair" at my BMW dealership, which was 4x the amount of Dentworks. I can attest to all the other positive reviews regarding this place. They did great work on a noticeable dent on my car's passenger door. It looks like it was never there. Thane explained to me how he removed it and why it was a bit more complicated than it looked upon the initial inspection. But the price quoted remained the same, which I though was a very reasonable price point. This will be my go-to place for door dings in the future...although I would like to never have to go again... I have used Dentworks several times in the past and was extremely pleased. I had a minor dent on my work van sliding door yesterday, so I dropped by for them to look at it. I went to the shop for hail damage on 4/9/2024. I got car back with crakes and discoloration on the dent sites. Mr. Thane Matcek states the shop is paintless dent repair, meaning they only do dents, they don't do paint of the crakes and discoloration of dent sites. It's rare you find someone who exceeds expectations in every regard. They are very professional. They told me the dents in my BMW's trunk would be hard to fix and they would not charge me if they could not address the issue. When they called to pick up the car, they said they had done the best they could, but it wasn't perfect. I guess they are greater perfectionists than I am because it looked damn good to me. Someone hit my car in the parking lot and left a horrible crease and dent on it. I didn't want to submit the claim to my insurance since I've had other claims this year and was worried about rates going up. I did some research and got some quotes from companies that could do the paint less dent removal (as the paint wasn't messed up). This was by far the cheapest and Trey was really awesome when I got the quote. He even told me that my type of dent was the hardest so it might not be perfect but he wouldn't charge me if I didn't approve how it came out. We agreed on a time and had it set up. When I dropped off the car, he said it would be a few hours and he would call me when it was done. I got a call a few hours later and it looked amazing! You couldn't tell it ever had been hot. Hails damaged on 4/9/2024. The car has dents and cracks hit by big baseball hail. After repairing, there are discolortion of dent sites (damaged during fixing the dents) and did not fixing cracks. Mr. Thane Matcek said the shop does not do paint. They should not take the job if they don't do the painting. read more

Based on the positive reviews on Yelp, I called Dentworks who said to stop by and they would assess dent and provide quote and followup appt. Stopped by the Friday afternoon before Memorial day and they immediately took a look at dent. Since they had finished most of their work for the week (they stated they always try to close out as much as possible by end of week so customers get their car back quickly), the technician Thane fit me in right on the spot. 10 min later and the car was perfect! Great work by these guys. Had a pretty complicated dent along the edge of my windshield. They were up-front about them possibly not being able to get it taken out, but that they would give it their best shot. Well they got it out! So all I can do is describe what Trey did as Wizardy, possibly some sort of dark magic not yet seen in this realm. I went in to see if I could get a quick estimate on a pretty severe door ding on my car from someone opening their door into mine with the force of 1,000 angry baboons defending their lands from the invading hordes. Trey looked at it, and cool at a penguin swimming in the Antarctic Ocean, said "no problem," and then said I could even come by later that same day to drop it off and he could knock it out real quick. And the price he quoted me was SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than I was expecting to pay. Woot! So I arranged a time, and came back later in the day. I would eat my lunch next door at Top Notch burgers and continue to work on the WiFi, it was a perfect plan. Came back, dropped off the car, went next door to grab a bite, and continued to do work. 45 minutes later I get a call my car is done. In the end he even was able to charge me less than the previously expected amount because it didn't take long at all. I came back and looked at the car, and he actually made it look even better than before. He got the ding out, he managed to remove the paint scuff from the other car, AND he polished it up to show that there was no damage very clearly. He made it like new again. First of all, I hope none of you ever have to deal with those inconsiderate people who never care about how strong they open their doors nor the repercussions; but if you do, just take your car STRAIGHT to Dentworks and fret no more. It took *much* longer than I expected for Trey to get my car in for service after the late-March hail storm, and it was hard to find the business in the nondescript office park the first time. But *totally* worth the wait and search. You cannot tell my car was ever damaged. Trey was great about staying in touch with me, dealing with my insurance company when it was unresponsive after he concluded the hood would need to be replaced. It was less money in his pocket, but he was upfront that the hood was too damaged for dent repair. He personally coordinated the back-and-forth with Jeff's Auto-body shop, which replaced the hood. I bought a brand new car on Saturday 6/17. By Tuesday, it already had two dings in the rear passenger door because some jerk hit my car with their door. And ofc, with this being Austin, he/she didn't leave a note or probably didn't even care to check the damages. Hadn't driven this car for a WEEK and I was so upset this had happened. That Tuesday, I looked up a bunch of places on Yelp to get the dings out and found Dentworks. Had some time that Friday 6/23 to stop by RIGHT before they closed and Thane took a look at my car. He was able to squeeze me in for the following Monday 6/26 and said it'd take about an hour so to be there by 5 pm the latest. He quoted me $100 for the job. Thane said he couldn't do much for the paint damage (yeah, it was that bad), but he'd try to buff some color out. Show up Monday around 4:40 and he gets right to work. I'm ready to camp out for an hour, but less than 30 mins later, he appeared from the back and said he was finished! He took me to my car in the garage and showed me what he did. He was able to get a lot of the other car's color off my door, and completely got the dents out. Some residual color is there, but I'm not sure if it's actually color or just my clear coat bc he said the other driver got through it. Honestly, I'm OK with that. Thane did the best he could, and the results were way better than I expected. Barely noticeable. He then said it was $60 instead of the original $100 quote and yo, I was ecstatic. Thane was really helpful, super friendly, conversational, efficient, and did a FANTASTIC job. 10 / 10 would recommend. I'd give this place more stars if I could. I also wish I'd gotten photos of before to show how great the results were, but hopefully my words alone will be sufficient enough to convince anyone to see the guys at Dentworks. I recently purchased a car that had a few minor dents. I have used Dent Works of Austin before and was super happy with the quality of their work so I took my latest car there. They prepared me that some of the dents might not come out as cleanly as I would like, but they would try. They did an amazing job and were even able to correct a bad dent repair job that another company had done for the dealership where I bought the car. I only trust Dent Works of Austin to take care of these types of dents in my cars. The dealerships try to sell you the dent coverage, but I always decline because the only place I will take my cars for paintless dent repair is Dent Works of Austin. So impressed with Dentworks! I had a ding on the driver's side door of my 2014 BMW X5 that had been bugging me for over a year. I took it to the BMW authorized body shop a few months ago and they quoted me $1,000+ to repair it! I stopped in and got a $75 quote from Thane and made an appointment (they also take walk-ins when they can) and came back a few days later . Wow... just WOW! After having my brand new Navigator attacked by a killer hailstorm, I was frustrated because I figured some of the repairs would require a repaint. The top surfaces of this big SUV were completely covered by dents, and two trim pieces were damaged as well. I chose this place after reading their superb reviews, and they did NOT disappoint! I just cannot explain it. It's very rare to get a genuine customer service these days but I experienced that today. I was devastated when I saw a dent on my new car while picking up the kids from school. It's not that big, but that's where I look when I see my car...you guys know the feeling. I took my car to Dentworks as it is nearby my office, quoted for $40 which is already amazing, less than 30 mins later my car was ready to go. He showed me where he fixed it, seriously I thought it was somewhere else since I couldn't tell. There was this tiny scratch that came with the dent and he couldn't remove it but that's not his fault. I was beyond happy to just see that dent went away. They were unable to help me but they were very extremely knowledgeable and able to recommend several reputable body shops. I had quite the dent in my truck bed and they ran me through all my options, including what they would be able to do, which would not get this particular dent back to 100% due to where it was. I appreciated that they didn't try to just get me to do whatever they could, when they felt it could be handled to my satisfaction at another place of business that also does paint, etc. To me that speaks volumes about the guys running this spot (which came highly recommended too).
