Me and my wife helped my friend move in here on 8/12/22 I parked at about 6:30 pm and i was here until 12:30 am 8/13/22 and when I tried to leave my car was towed. I parked in a very open area with plenty of parking around me. Only reason I actually parked in the complex is because I was moving. Be very careful when moving in here or having guests over. The towing is predatory. People will block the roads constantly, but the tow company targets newer vehicles. And the front office expects everyone(including guests) to have a parking pass. read more

Horrible horrible horrible. Do not move in here!! The vents are full of mold, they just paint over all the dirt and mold so you won't see it. The hot water is ALWAYS off, always having issues. They will charge you for EVERYTHING even though it was the past tenants. Nova pointe is terrible. The laundry mat always has children smoking weed. The parking lot is always filthy dirty, full of trash. Maintenance takes DAYS to help you with an issue. The manager is a stuck up selfish child. She does not care about you, only your money. They will tow you every chance they get and it's $500 to get your car. Do. Not. Move. Here. They will take your deposit and bill you for unnecessary charges when you move out. Not true to there word. They asked me if I had any evictions or bankruptcy I said no they stated if my credit was bad I would have to pay full deposit instead of $500 . After running credit and taking my holding deposit 2 hours later they said I was denied . I don't have these things on my credit report so why did they still deny me instead of paying full deposit then they wanted to send me a check in 21 business days from the holding deposit. The manager need to be fired. I wish I never move here or signed a lease. They deserve a 0 for real. The moving process was very easy and well explained. Beatrice was so helpful in all of her accommodations on making sure we understood what we needed to get in and speeding up the process as she understood we were ready to move in as soon as possible. They were quick to fix minor details such as small cleanings and fixing a couple spots in the drywall. This location is in a nice neighborhood and there is not a lot of traffic through the area as well. It's easily located off the freeway and has several accommodations like restaurants and stores in the same neighborhood. read more

One of the worst places to live in. During move-in day our lock was broken. The shower wasn't properly put together. One of the closet rods were broken. Lastly the walls had something splattered everywhere. The week before we moved in someone was shot in the community. It always smelt like weed outside of the apartment. Took years to get stuff fixed inside the apartment. Put multiple work orders until they finally came one day. During the last couple months of our lease. We had tiny bugs that would enter and die within one feet of the apartment. Before our last month of staying here, We called hundreds of times, and went there multiple times but no answer. The couple times we finally got ahold of them, we asked multiple people if we had any additional paperwork or anything needed to be done and they said no. Little do we know, we did have more paperwork to turn in and are charging us an additional months rent past our last. These people are very unorganized and not willing to help. The new management is just as worst as the older one. You're very lucky if you get ahold of the office. This place is an absolute mess.. Please do yourself a favor and apply to other apartment complexes who care about their tenants. You pay what you get. read more

Been in a hotel because these 3 STOOGES don't know how manage an apartment complex. They have now told me 5 different move in dates and 3 different units only to tell me they will check on the unit and call me back. How do you tell potential renters a unit is available and hour after I come down to the office to sign paper word say it's not available. We pack up and are on our way to bring our things over when theyll tell us some bullshit about glitches in their system and they have to push the move in date back. After living at the Nova Pointe apartments for 2 years I can honestly say if you can afford to live anywhere else, literally anywhere else, I highly recommend it. The apartment complex presents itself like a clean and affordable living space but the truth is the place is riddled with fees and problems. Ants, cockroaches, and spiders were reoccurring issues in our apartment no matter how much we seemed to spray and bomb with nearly no help from the apartment complex which gave me some sticky pads to "catch" the bugs when I filed a complaint. This apartment complex charges large and hidden fees with the rent like $50 pet fees, $50+ for trash and $30+ for hot water, which you still have to pay the city for sewer and many other fees that they really don't tell you about until they bill you. The pools, gyms, and laundry rooms are not kept up with and are always dirty and broken. Before COVID even happened the pools and gyms were always closed and with problems. Even in our apartment the pipes are clearly faulty and we would have to call the office to have the kitchen sinks snaked and cleared almost every other month or every other two months. They said that they were going to replace the broken fence when we moved in, which they did eventually replaced after multiple complaints a year and a half after we had moved in. The worst part of this place though is the ever changing office staff. The staff seems to be replaced every month as you can guarantee you will not deal with the same person you dealt with the last time there was an issue. On top of that the staff always is very rude, unfriendly, and acts like it's an inconvenience to actually do their jobs. So if you have other options I would highly recommend going with them. When we moved in we had nearly $1500 deposit and after 2 years of us maintaining the apartment quite well, they charged us nearly $1000 in "cleaning and painting fees". I moved in about a month ago. The person that helped me was Beatriz. I never had any issues with the staff when I went in. Once I did go in and there were only 2 girls working. I was being helped , and there were 3 other people waiting. Not enough staff to help all the people that came in. The woman in the office dont give two shits about any ones time. The opening hours change daily from 10am.to 11 am to 12 pm. They do how ever make sure that they go to lunch everyday on time from 1 to 3:30 but dont open the doors till 4. They NEVER answer the phones. So you end up having to call off from work (more than 4 times for me) because they do not do applicants on the weekend for low income. Check the COLTON NEWS and put Nova Pointe Apartments and the story we'll be about the shooting in this apartment. It happen 09/2018. The gates in these apartments are always broke, so people can come in and out all day and night. The rent is going up to from $800 to 1280 for a 1bedroom that's not even worth it!.. And please Don't forget to update your parking pass, or your vehicle will get TOWED in the middle of the night!.. On top of all that the washer machine and dryers are always broke, the machines take your money and the office don't give your money back!.My lease is up soon and I am getting the HELL UP out of here!.. read more

I hardly ever post reviews but I felt the need to toss my experience in with the rest. We were initially helped by an awesome lady named Tracy(who sadly no longer works there because they use a temp service to staff, and the childish and immature managers choose other childish immature people, over qualified, hard-working people so they can gossip and shit-talk right in front of potential tenants and clients), who was awesome and on the ball when it came to making sure everything was in order. The day we were set to come see the apartment and get our keys(we were shown the model apartment when we came in to view the property), Blake(whom we had spoken to THREE times to confirm what time we would be coming in to get our keys and see the apartment, we even rearranged our day to come in at a time that was most convenient for THEM) had taken off to lunch which left me and my disabled partner waiting around when we'd had an appointment. Maria, the manager, came in and apologized that he left for his lunch before meeting with us, then she took us over to our unit. The first thing I noticed was a roach. The unit was lovely, except there was a dead roach under the sink, and a live one crawling across the living room. She assured me they would fumigate before we moved in the following day. She also rushed us through the inspection of the place. If we had been given a proper tour, we would never have accepted this unit because the back patio is NOT ADA compliant. The back door leads out to a very steep grade which is impossible for someone using a mobility device to navigate safely. Trying to call the office is a joke as hey rarely answer unless you select the option for rental info. Otherwise it rings and rings. They also don't reply to emails. And claim they never get them. Going into the office is stressful because there is almost always drama from an upset tenant, and it gets super crowded and stressful. The actual property manager seemingly can't be bothered, but according to Maria, he's the guy to talk to when you want to bend the rules(according to what she told another woman working there). All in all, our experience there was short but not nearly short enough. Don't let the model fool you. He place is not properly maintained and the other tenants are dirty and disrespectful. read more

I was told it would be one price for the apartment based on my income. Had my appointment for application on Jan 30th 2021. They called me a few days later saying it would be well over the price I was originally given so I asked them to pull my application. I understood not getting the application fee of $40 back. I was told the $100 holding deposit would be mailed to me by check within a few weeks. It is now almost June and I still have not received my $100. I have emailed multiple times and called and left messages. I wouldn't recommend this place to ANYONE. They only want your money. They don't care about who you are. read more

ROACH INFESTED! This place is a dump! The good thing about it is that stator bros is close, if you're a walmart or Ross shopper then perfect. Roaches are everywhere on this complex. It's under new management and I do see a difference from 3years ago to now. Still there is a ROACH PROBLEM. There is no assigned parking right now so visitors and tenants can park anywhere. We haven't even moved in yet. The person who is in charge of our lease has changed the apartment 4 or 5 times. We told her from the get go we want downstairs apartment and they only had one and we put a reservation on it and then she changed it to the upstairs. We didn't sign the contract because we don't want to be upstairs at all. Then she keeps hanging up on us, keeps changing the apartments number, and keeps pushing the move in dates. This place is a complete waste of money , cops are always here something is always happening , I've been living her for almost a year my wall outlets don't work my car was vandalized and I had to trade it in for something else & now my tailgate was stolen. I almost forgot they do have a patrol who apparently is never doing anything. Your never going to be able to reach them unless you call the leasing line , you will put a work order "online so it's faster" and you will still be waiting months for it to be done. The laundromat is disgusting the machines have MOLD in the soap dispenser when I first moved here I asked to see the laundromat and of course she showed me the front one where everything is semi clean , cameras that they have around the whole structure don't even work only the ones by the office how convenient. This place is ZERO stars. The manger Jennifer is the worse they've ever had. They are nice in the office when you want to move in but once you're in the do not help and whole attitude changes. The manger tries to scam you out your money so keep all notices and pay attention to what you are paying. I moved out and she tried to make me pay her when my deposit covered everything that she made up that I did. Then said she messed up sent me a check of what she messed up on then still send it to collections. I have an whole box of notices she messed up on. She doesn't pay attention or look into things she just writes bs notes for doors and HIDES in her office. They act like you can't speak to her unless you are dying or like she the president. Don't do stuff then hide. Worse ever I wouldn't pay a $1 for rent here if it was the last option. Can't wait till they fire her too along with everybody else who don't know anything in that office. I've been trying to get in contact with the owner because it's obvious they don't know the half of what she's doing and I guarantee will have plenty lawsuits of how they do people there including from me. There is never any hot water! We pay the city and the apartment for hot water yet you get none. I'm sorry you barely get some in the kitchen. On the Rare occasion you get some it's if you run a bath. I've never had actual hot shower. I've had a kinda warm shower. when you complain they say chose better times to shower. I was also told once one of my neighbors probably just took a hot shower so wait 30 mins, what! Now they say theyre fixing it. It's been over a year and the turn the water off all the time without warning and guess what still no hot water. Has that stopped them from charging us? Nope. Every month we pay them for hot water. Did I mention thats outside of what we pay Colton and the gas company. It specifically says hot water and yet we have none. I stopped even asking for repairs. I complained once the told me. if you don't like it move. That literally was her exact words! So I don't ask for repairs because you complain then you're a problem and treat you like trash. Not to mention it's unsafe with people cooking meth in apartments and there was a fire. Did the apartments make us aware like they are suppose to by law when meth is concerned. I can go one and one. This is by far the worst rental experience I've been through so far. For being the first apartment I've lived in that says a lot. I lived here from September 2020 to August 2021. Moving out of this dump could not come sooner. I found these apartments on Facebook marketplace and I found the price very appealing. I thought to myself when I saw the photos "this place looks good for what it's worth" boy was I wrong. DO NOT BELIEVE THE PHOTOS. The apartment literally looks nothing like that in person. They did an amazing job at staging the model apartment and whoever edited their photos must've been a pro! All of the materials are so cheap. The appliances, the flooring, all the fixtures were crap. You could tell they wanted to spend the least amount of money for everything. The flooring that is in the bathroom should not be in the bathroom. It was peel and stick flooring for A BATHROOM. The water was constantly being turned off as well as the hot water. They sometimes would not even notify you. Good luck getting maintenance to fix anything. It would take months for them to even get to your work order or sometimes they wouldn't come around at all. We had to get them to come fix things several times because it wasn't fixed right the first time. OH AND LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT THE COCKROACHES. There were non stop cockroaches. We would spray, bait, and clean to no avail. It was a nightmare dealing with them and they were EVERYWHERE. The pool and jacuzzi were always dirty. And even though it's not Nova Pointe's fault this area in Colton is prone to power outages. We did not have power for up to 14 hours at one point. To top things off they charge you your entire deposit when you leave. They sent me a check for $9.54 out of the $500 we put down for a 2 bedroom. Please consider living anywhere else, this place is not worth your hard earned money. read more

If you need something fixed, it doesn't matter if you put in a work order, they never come! I've been waiting 3 weeks for someone to come fix our bathtub. The kids vandalize your vehicle and have no care in the world and for some reason with all the cameras in the complex, half of them don't work! Give my two stars because i recently just went to the property to view it. I actually went to a house warming party here at the complex like 2018 and someone got shot. I went to the property to inquire about a one bedroom and also to see if these apts look real in life. Yea they look identical as the photos. I feel that they lure in because of all the amenities and what the apt looks like. The area is not great. I did a crime map and on 4/20/2019 there were two burglaries. One in Nova Pointe Apartments and across the street and Cottonwood apt which i viewed them also. I walked the property with a officer lady and the property was not cleaned smh. They are however remodeling the patio fences but that not going to help ur safety. That area is very concerning especially when u have kids that are going to be with u. Parking is first come first serve and the laundry rooms were messy. Theres no grass hardly through the apt that means when it rains it will be a mini mud slide in ur walk way. They are cheap apt but im good on someone getting shot and also i was able to bring up the police report on colton police website . So think about if u really wanna live here for the amenities or ur safety. I choose neither read more

We went to see if they had any apartment available they gave us a tour of an apartment we liked it and started the paper work they asked for a holding deposit which from what they explained to us it was to hold the apartment for us we gave them the application feed plus the holding deposit we came back a couple of days later to sign the lease and take 3 documents we forgot. They had told us that we would get apartment 232 and it would be ready to move in by July 5. When we told them the apartment number they told us that they had an emergency and they gave our apartment to someone else and the next available apartment would not be available till July 15. We have to be out of our old home by July 5. When we explained our frustration with them a rude lady came out of an office saying that we don't make promises And she wanted us to understand that they didn't make promises and that they never said that this apartment would be ours. That lady was so rude instead of apologizing for their mistake she came out like if she was the sh*t. First of all You guys say you don't make promises then why do you make us give a "holding deposit " if your not even going to hold it. On my first few days moving here maintenance didn't even knock on my door they just came in my apartment and we were still sleeping. They turn off water without telling tenants ahead of time.
