We feel that our experience with Novel Remodeling has to be spread around for everyone's benefit. We live in Sherman Oaks. Did some research on windows company in our area and were about to choose a local dealer who carried Plygem windows. We called Novel Remodeling and they told us they carry Plygem , too. The day that we got the windows from Novel Remodeling they showed us the warranty before we signed with them. So that was a good start because we wanted to know for how long do we get a hardware warranty. The day of the installation they arrived on time. Everything looked professional and organized on their side. David and his crew did a terrific job on installation. If we keep the windows closed, we can hardly hear any noise and they look fabulous. Thank you for your wonderful customer service.

This is a review, a pleasure to write. The work to be done: painting the outside of my home, including the needed preparation, and also fix a very bad job (build 2 combination security/inside doors) done a couple of years ago by a socalled professional local company. Novel Remodeling, their advisor, Phil, and the crew that was hired did a fantastic job. My home was built in 1961, it had been repainted only twice in all that time. Now, there was no color change and yet, when the men got done, it looks like I have a new house; it just shines! And the messed up doors: they fixed one and completely rebuilt the security's frame. They feel very solid now and I feel safe when I lock them. Am very satisfied and would highly recommend this company.

This is the second review we leave for this company. We just had our driveway done by Novel. The reason we had the driveway done is because we had a water leak underneath. We had other estimates come over and they all tried to use the scare tactics of why we should get the driveway done. Novel representative Came over, was straightforward and gave us a price and even offered to fix the leak at no additional cost. We are in love with our new driveway

This is our first time contacting a remodeling company, and we were extremely nervous as the bathroom remodel we where trying to do had setbacks. After researching various companies, Novel was chosen because of their ability to accommodate people with accessibility issues (Disabled and Elderly) and had commonsense protocols dealing with the Covid-19 issue. Other companies made it impossible to hire out because of their over the top protocols, and Novel seemed to handle things with a safe and commonsense approach. Our Project Consultant was Ben Oirech, who was extremely professional, giving us his credentials and showing us upfront that he was licensed and ADA (American Disability Act) experienced. We soon had a great conversation and explained to him our bathroom remodel. We also expressed that we hoped we found a great company and wanted to build a relationship, as we had other construction planned for our old home. As a courtesy he did inspect our roof, which was part of our planned home improvement. I already knew after the recent windstorms that it would need to be replaced. He did confirm my assessment and worked with us to get an exception deal on our roof. Over the next two months his team replaced our roof and remodeled the bathroom. The roofing team members were extremely professional, efficient, and respectful of not only our property but also our neighbors. Each day they cleaned and removed and debris, leaving our property spotless. As for our bathroom, Leon, was our contact and he visited often to ensure that the project was going well and wanted to make sure everything went well. They were also very knowledgeable about Los Angeles Building Codes, and made sure that everything would pass inspection. As for cost, we all know that the prices our going up. I saved up for years to have enough for the bathroom, and was worried as I would need to save up years again before we could touch the roof. Novel provided reasonable pricing and also helped advised on how to finance the roof as that was in need of repair. Ben and his team treated us as people, not some just some customer. I wish I could remember everyone's name, but each person from roof, to tile artisan, to runners, to plumber were all great people. They truly look out for us, did their best to find us the best deal possible, and worked with us every step of the way. They also offer Solar Power, and their consultant John is another knowledgeable guy who will also work with you to find the best solution possible. Unfortunately at this time we could not proceed with that, but I just wanted to include him as he another phenomenal member of the team.

Spending $10k+ on a project was definitely the biggest remodeling project I have ever done in my 5 years of being a homeowner. I had the project bid by 5 parties and not only was Novel Remodeling the most reasonable, Ben, the project manager made all my anxiety go away. They knocked the job out in half the time they said they would, left no mess and everyone says how amazing the remodel looks. His team did a huge island with a waterfall edge, two kitchen counters, the matching backsplash and two bathroom counters all with matching granite. It looks insane, I've never been happier with a project which is great because it was also the most expensive. Definitely will use again and recommend A+++

David C. of Novel Remodeling made this hole in my carpet when he came to give me an estimate.

WARNING!!! DO NOT HIRE NOVEL REMODELING! Somehow Novel Remodeling hacked into my Buildzoom account, got my phone number and pretended to be one of the contractors that they recommended. Please view the photo that I have attached here to see what he did to my carpet. I had lifted up the carpet to show him what was under it. He thought there might have been hardwood underneath and asked for an exacto knife to check. I thought he was going to scrape some of the glue off of the floor, but instead he made this large 6 x 8 inch hole in my carpet. The hole is in a potentially dangerous traffic area, too. Additionally, he continually insulted me about everything: from my ideas about how I want my kitchen, to my iphone, to the chair he sat in. I asked him for his card. It appears in the photo. As you can see, it only has his last initial, not his last name. I can only imagine what his company might have done had I hired them!

Needed some dramatic changes in my backyard. This is a costly job and I was looking for a reliable group of people in Los Angeles. I didn't want my money to go to waste and it's always tricky finding the right people. The guys at Novel took away my worries and managed things so I didn't have to stress about it. They have been great people to work with and the guys are skilled. I really liked that. Dealing with them for the first few days, I knew I had made a smart investment . I would recommend them for any remodeling job. Their fast response to all my questions and needs makes them my go-to guys for any job. Big thumbs up.

Just had my bathroom done and I am so happy with the work and quality that went into my brand new bathroom! I consider myself very picky and detail oriented From beginning to end everyone that showed up was on time and professional. Usually I am always the one waiting on any type of contractor. But my experience with Novel's bathroom was very different and positive. I have been having a lot of issues with other contractors not showing up to work and delaying the entire remodel project except the bathroom. I am so glad I found this place after meeting with 10-15 bathroom places. They were the most reasonable with the highest quality. I could give David and the others 5 stars all day long. They are fabulous!! They are totally professional and always went the extra mile to make sure we were happy. They put customer satisfaction first. I am so pleased with this bathroom that I will definitely have them do other projects, like my kitchen. The owner is very honest, gives you a lot of good insight and information to make your decision easier. I also had them do the wood flooring outside my bathroom and I have received so many complements. I am definitely referring this place to anyone for bath or kitchen remodel. If you want peace of mine, go with them. I can't say enough good things. I just know that I made the right choice! Thanks to everyone at Novel Remodeling!!!

This was our first project with Novel remodeling , We had them change our lawn to water tolerant landscape. Sean P handled this project very well from beginning to the end. He met with us several times and went over everything to make sure we were on the same page every step of the way , They exceeded our expectations . We definitely recommend them and very impressed with our new landscape . 100% happy clients Faren and Jeff A.

Different color tiles, they suggested I leave it and see if it evens out on their own or in the sun

I have proof of everything expressed. Buyer beware!!! We have had the worst experience with this company. They do not have customers service, they are rude and they behave like mobsters, threatening, intimidating and when you leave a review on skill level, professionalism and overall eve prince they respond with lies and accusations and blame, they blame the city and covid for the delays, at least from our view, the delays we complain about had nothing to do with those issues, everything they installed was incorrect of backward or broken by workers during installation. Finally, we are sitting here going into 5 months of a tiny unfinished bathroom, emailed documented harassment and multiple threats of lean. The project is not completed and they demanding final payment before it's finished or inspected. The only payment owed is the one submitted upon completion which they stated they will not complete over email. Completely unethical. Connected to a variety of DBA, there is no evidence the owner uses his real identity when we checked the license number. We had to explain to them their own terms of the contract to pay LAST1/3 upon completion as stated by them, they responded with aggressive intimidation and scare tactics, screaming and hanging up, and refusal to complete over email.

The first time we met with Eli at our house regarding our bathroom estimate was in August 2014. We went over the specific details of everything that My wife wanted to have done, I really appreciated the fact that Eli was very detail oriented. They started our project the next day and continued working every day except Saturdays and Sundays till the project was completed, they covered everything from electrical plumbing carpentry Kaiann waterproofing and paint. What I really appreciated with Novel Remodeling is the fact that the price was set at the beginning and did not change all the way till it was completed. The entire team is super professional and friendly, they arrived every morning between 8 to 9 o'clock in the morning. The company was responsible to schedule city inspections and each inspection was approved the first time. You can see the final pictures yourself and see how beautiful the project turned out. I definitely recommend this team they are honest and professional, they never pushed us even once

If you go with this company, 100% ask for Mason to be your sales rep. Avoid Eddie at all costs as he won't respond to you after you sign your agreement...Because of this, Management actually switched my contact person to Mason, and I am forever grateful for that. Mason is attentive and he was the best with responding to questions and concerns. And when I had concerns about delays in my project, I would email him and it would be fixed right away. The solar industry is one where many people have a lot of questions, uncertainty in effectiveness, and aren't sure if it's right for them. And people in general don't trust solar companies and sales people. It takes time to complete a solar project from contract to actually generating electricity for the home. For me, I decided to go with solar because the 30% tax credit was ending (and now that I actually see results, it's worth it even without the tax credit). However, since I was in a tight window to get everything completed before December 31st, I was very nervous as to if the project would be done on time. if it wasn't for my persistence, and for Mason's help, I don't think it would have been done Before December 31st and I would have been very upset and lost out on the tax credit. So again, GO WITH MASON at Solar Optimum, you won't regret it. If I get another home, I will 100% use this company again, and would 100% ONLY work with Mason. I also added a picture to show how much solar has been generating for me in just over a week in the middle of December (the worst for sunlight). It's right at optimal generation for this time of year and look forward to no more electric bills.

A lot of time passed by without hearing back. Then I was told the solar panels that I had agreed to are no longer available. They replaced them with cheaper options. Later on, they said the replacements were no longer available and switched them again to a cheaper option. I received an email on 10/28/25 saying the solar panels are ready for installation. Then I didn't receive an update until 12/10/25 asking for information that I had already confirmed via phone call, the clearance from solar panels as well as the panels being permitted. Then I received an email on 12/23/25 asking for this confirmation again. I sent a follow up, and did not hear back from Eddie until 12/27/25. He gave me a call and told me that Solar Optimum is unable to complete the installation by the end of the year, making me ineligible for the tax credit. He suggested claiming the system was installed/invoiced in my taxes, which is tax fraud as the tax credit makes it explicitly clear that it needs to be installed and powered by 12/31/25. On Dec 30th, he said he would update me within 2 weeks. 2 weeks elapsed and no update was given. At the end of my experience with Solar Optimum, I was took a loan that was no longer needed which ran my credit which has negative implications for my credit score. I also missed out on thousands in tax credit as well as future long term savings. There was misrepresentation regarding what the company had to offer and so far the company has not offered any option to rectify the situation. Will never do business with this company and strongly advise against using their services. The only option remaining is if they are able to discount the panels by the amount of tax credit I have missed out on, which will be my desired resolution requested.

Has a professional installation crew and executes flawlessly and everything stays on track. Incredible follow-up and will not try to upsell you like other installers. If you're looking to install solar, you should absolutely go with OneSun. Give Rose a call to at least get a consultation and I'm sure your interaction will immediately stand out from other installers. Installing solar is something I kept putting off. When I found out that the tax credit would be going away at the end of 2025, I realized I couldn't put it off any longer. One of the reasons I kept waiting was how annoying solar reps were. Clearly just sales guys who didn't actually know anything about the equipment, technology, and process. I did a bit of research on local installers and OneSun came up a few times, all with nothing but great things to say and especially highlighted the installer's knowledge and patience. Before reaching out to OneSun, I informed myself as much as I could to the point that I knew what panels I wanted, size system, even what inverters I wanted installed. My first phone call with Rose immediately proved that all of the positive feedback I had read was for a reason. She took the time to actually listen to the specifics of my project, what I was looking for, and what questions I still had based on my research. She took the time to answer every question and even went into the technical details that I was interested in. It was clear that she was extremely familiar with not just the logistics, but also exactly how a solar system works as well as the technical details of all of the components in a system. She had my business after that first meeting but of course I still did my due diligence and got a quote from one other local installer which also had similar reviews. Although the sales rep was very nice, it was clear that he was just a sales rep and only reinforced why OneSun was the installer to go with. OneSun's pricing happened to be better but even if the other installer would have come in at a cheaper quote, I would have still chosen OneSun for the install. Rose started the permit process in July and made sure that everything stayed on track, especially since I wanted to make sure that the system be on before the end of the year in order to qualify for the tax credit. The timelines she provided were right on point and the install was scheduled for September. About a week before the install date, there was an unexpected problem. The panels that were originally planned for my install had gone completely out of stock. There had been some kind of manufacturing issue and those panel would not be coming back in stock for another couple of months which could push the project out to the following year. Rose let me know she could acquire slightly larger panels for the project and install it on schedule. I was about to ask what the additional cost for the larger panels would be, but before I was able to, she let me know that there would be no additional cost to me. I'm sure any other installer would have used the situation as leverage to add additional cost to the project. A testament to Rose's commitment to her customers. On installation day, the crew was professional and efficient. They completed everything in one day and made sure to keep everything as clean and organized as possible. Towards the end of the install, I had noticed that they ran one of the grounding wires out from the attic and down the face of the house where I had planned on completing another project in the near future. I knew that the wire would need to be redirected if it was left there so I asked the foreman if he could run it through a different path. Initially he felt like it would not be possible given the layout. I reached out to Rose just to make sure and see if she possibly had another solution. About 10 minutes later the foreman showed me another possible option which was much better for what I needed. It may have seemed like a small thing, but that was another instance in which I believe any other installer would have dismissed my request as pickiness and told me there was nothing else they could do. Rose took the time to speak with her foreman and truly assessed the situation to come up with a solution that fit my needs. It took LADWP about 6 weeks to get my meter installed and for my system to be turned on, but it was still well before the end of the year (and yes, I just got my tax refund with that hefty solar tax credit). It's rare to come across someone like Rose who is honest, patient, and who truly has her customer's best interest at heart. Combine that with impeccable execution and communication, and there is no one else I would recommend for a solar install project. In fact, my parents are considering a small project and I've already told them about Rose/OneSun.

As soon as I did a few online searches, I was flooded with emails and texts from multiple companies with high pressure sales pitches. One company charged me $350 to do a site survey, just to get a quote for the project, then came back with a revised quote adding $7000 to dig a trench for electrical wiring due to "the location" of our electrical panel. I found OneSun on a yelp search and as soon as I spoke with Rose Avakian, I knew my search was over. This company stands out from the others. There was no sales pitch, pressure, or upsell. Rose explained the technology and equipment in a way that made it understandable and approachable. When her team came to look at our place, they found no need to dig a trench and simply connected to our existing electrical panel. Had they needed to dig a trench, the price they quoted was nowhere near $7000.  From start to finish, the entire experience was transparent, seamless, professional and expedient. The attention to detail and care the team put into making sure everything was done right far exceeded my expectations. If you're looking to go solar, look no further than Rose and OneSun. This is truly the best company I've ever worked with!

I couldn't be happier with OC Solar! From start to finish, their team was professional,…read moreknowledgeable, and truly committed to finding the best solution for my home. They installed a complete solar system that's already making a noticeable difference in my energy bills. Even better, they set me up with backup batteries so I have peace of mind knowing I'll have power when I need it most. And the locked-in rate they secured for me? That's going to save me money for years to come. The installation crew was efficient and respectful of my property, and the whole process was much smoother than I expected. OC Solar made going solar easy and stress-free. If you're considering solar, I highly recommend OC Solar. They deliver quality work, excellent customer service, and real value. Five stars all the way!

They do a lot via text, which I liked, but it turned out not at all useful. I would text for updates, and hear nothing back. I would call to find out my contact was out of the office, on vacation, or any number of excuses. This went on for many weeks. I did not know the date for installation until a delivery of equipment showed up at my house unannounced. It was a good thing I happened to be home that day! I thought the installation itself had gone well. They installed the system in two days and everything looked great. Then, I had to wait for the meter collar to be installed. I was told it was going to be performed by their technician. Turns out it has to be done by SCE and that had not been scheduled. After I called again, SCE was finally notified. SCE arrived several days later to discover the cables were too short to install the meter. Now I have wait again for OC solar to come out again and fix this issue and wait again for SCE to finally install the meter so that I can use my new system. I hope the system works.
