Mixed bag of an experience. I've been looking for a local mechanic and received several estimates,…read morebut I went with this shop because of the distance and reviews. Their pricing is on the medium-to-high side for the area, though still cheaper than the dealer. I needed an oil leak repaired. There was an $80 inspection fee before repair, and it didn't count toward the total repair cost. I did appreciate how quickly they handled everything and that they offered a ride home. When I picked up my vehicle, I had some questions about my bill. I politely asked about the labor charges because I was confused by how high they seemed. It showed $80 in labor to fill the vehicle with oil, even though it was already in the shop and had been drained after the repair. While my service advisor was reviewing it, another advisor helping someone else made an unsolicited snarky remark: "We have to charge labor--what, you want us to fill it with your used oil?" I had no issue paying for new oil; the labor charge just didn't make sense to me. My advisor found that it had been entered in error and removed most of that labor charge. There was no apology. I'd like to think the mistake would have been caught even if I hadn't said anything. As for the quality of the repair, it's hard to say for now--everything seems fine, and time will tell. I also later learned the repair should have a two-year warranty, which was never mentioned. Overall, I left feeling upset and irritated by the experience.

Yea so convenience isn't always a good thing. Because you end up with sketchy things happening…read more Went to get an emissions test and was failed because "the rubber thing on the gas cap, I can't get it to unfold, it's weird". Told me to get a new one and come back to have it tested again to pass. As soon as I heard it I was over it and tried to maintain my composure just to get out of there. Even the guy in there waiting for his car seemed confused. Not even a 2 year old car, no alerts or engine light ever on my dash or car app, cap properly clicks, no leaks reported, no odor, no visible damage and looks new...and I know what tf a gas cap is supposed to look like. To give the benefit of the doubt I consulted several sources. When I parked near another auto place just to FaceTime my husband and show him, a guy looked at it and said that's bs. Took it to AutoZone and they laughed, came out to look at it and even show me a BRAND NEW OEM one and told me it was perfectly fine. Took it to a place I trust and they were just as confused. Inspection passed. Not worth the convenience of a quick check if you have to deal with bs. Either they thought I was dumb enough to pay for another inspection through them or, you have really inexperienced people working for you. Either way, I'd highly suggest avoiding Jiffy Lube and I will be taking action. Definitely not about the $18 but wasting my time with a perfectly fine gas cap for what?! ...has pissed me off.

I opted to wait for my car to be serviced instead of leaving and I'm glad I got there when I did because I didn't want to stand. There are only 5 chairs and I was the 4th person. I believe this store takes pride in their establishment because not only was it clean, the furniture wasn't worn out (no rips; no tears) and the carpet looked brand new (no stains). I didn't mind waiting in the store because they had closed caption tv and I had my phone for entertainment. They also offered complimentary coffee but I'm not a coffee drinker so I'm sure most would appreciate the gesture. Too bad for those of us wanting cold water on a hot summer day :(. However, I do know that they don't have to offer anything to customers in the first place. I was notified about the diagnosis of the car within 40 minutes of arriving. I was also told it smelled like I had a possible engine leak but after investigating thoroughly, they couldn't find a leak so that meant no extra charge. They could have convinced me that there was a problem and been charged for something that I didn't see with my own eyes but I appreciate their honesty and them not taking advantage of the situation. The service cashier, Jonathan, was very pleasant and kept me posted on the status of my car. He didn't have an attitude and he spoke to me in a friendly manner. The repairs were completed about 2 1/2 hours later. For the inspections and front/rear brake job that they did, I feel it wasn't that long of a wait. If you know anything about cars, oil does not flow through the radiator. Coolant does. When I called this out to the technician, he couldn't answer any of my basic questions But kept insisting I needed a new radiator.I'm glad I knew at least a little bit of how cars work, otherwise I'd be completely out that money. My buddy and I lifted it up, watched some YouTube videos on oil flow, and found that one of the hoses just needed to be tightened. Horrible experience, and I will be telling all of my friends and family and anyone who needs mechanical work to stay away from Firestone.
