This place is the worst place ever. They are a bunch of scam artist from the head of the office Mitchell Dr.Kaufman as well as his leech office manager Steffany who follows you around like the bone collector. Do not trust anything they tell you they lie right to your face saying that procedures or not covered and that you should just them do the work and deal with the insurance later. They also schedule cleaning appointments before your due so that you have to payout of pocket. Its incredible that they are in business with this kind of crap. Especially coming from the top and all the way down. Please do yourself a favor and just keep away. I got a crown by them and it broke. It keep bleeding I get my head nun I feel paid when eating from my tooth side all the way up in my head, I went amd told them my issue all they want is do your cleaning first he won't touch you if don't have cleaning, I could be having a major issue or head infection he doesn't believe me, I bleed when I SLEEP and wake up, I get pain when eating from that same tooth crown, I get my brain with pain I feel headaches, I been feeling weak no the same since this broken crown, feel heavy sleeping on the right Side of my brain there is something no good. I have to switch dentist, get this tooth out, he also remove my wisdom tooth which was no necessary now my mouth is not level correctly, Dentist get extra income for every wisdom tooth they removed is some kind off internal deal they have with the Dentist association the state reward them, the tooth that was removed was next to my wisdom tooth them he ask me we need to implant that wisdom tooth. I told him no in first place, there was no need we never talk about it as being a damage tooth until the exact moment while removing the one in need, everything was done very sneaky. The front desk team are horrible, you are just dollars sings to them, very strong attitude when asking deeper questions, I didn't wanna go back to them again but I did went back to see if my issue could be solve, cause honeslty the paid has been since I got the broken crown back and from that point the issue start it has nothing to with cleaning as they suspect, I ask them if I go throw the cleaning laser and I still the issue what will happen them, when I chew I feel pain directly to to my head them that makes my head nun and I feel pain and heavy sleeping from that side, the tooth or crown is not right cause is only on that tooth. My insurance don't cover cleaning or extra tooth crowns or removal, why would I spend $400 in cleaning them 2k for the tooth issue, since my mouth is impair cause I had the extra wisdom tooth removed so now I do need to removed my other wisdom tooth to level it correctly that's extra too I been with one side higher the other low impair Sometimes I dont even know how to sit my jaw/mouth cause of the situation, I won't mind do the cleaning if there was more of a analysis listening to me, my left side top tooth is also no so good something is there open from a different job in a different clinic but he didn't care when he noticed that was on my last cleaning When I had my implant from the tooth he removed, installing it hurt a lot with the little wrench spinning, a little of Anastasia would it been appreciated. I went to this office for dental implant( lower jaw), Dr. Mitchell A Kaufman $13000 , I gave him $6000 as down payment. After taking an x ray, he started with a deep cleaning at my upper jaw. He contacted my physician, he didn't approve that kind of treatment for me based on my health condition. Dr.M A K refused to reimburse my money. He offered me a partial denture instead, he would charge me $2,157 for it, he offered me again a root canal on a tooth that did not need it at this moment, I rejected those offers, he tried to put pressure on me to sign a document stated that a refuse his medical advice, for that reason he is not going to give the partial denture, and he just walked out of the room, after minutes waiting I deciced to go home. the employee in charge of " insurance and billing" is the worst staff member, she is the one who asked me to sign the refusal letter, and over charged me in order to use up my 6k deposit for unecessary treament. There are better dental offices in USA than than this one. read more

I have been going there for about 25 years. Since they changed ownership the practice has gone bad. At Every appointment there is an issue with insurance coverage. The office manager is nasty Rude and it is just very unfortunate for the new owner. Find another dentist that is willing to work with your insurance and doesn't nickel and dime you for everything. Including them always trying to sell you things when you get your teeth cleaned. Big turnoff. I finally straightened out the bill then 4 months later I get an additional bill for more money. I have been using Dr. Kaufman and Now Dental for many years now. Having had tissue grafting and dental implants along with crowns and other work, I have been extremely satisfied with the quality and care of the entire staff. Recently I had a crown put in from a broken tooth. They took me right away and less than two weeks later I had my permanent, beautifully fit crown put in. Dr. Wassif began the procedure with the temporary, Dr. Kaufman completed the procedure. Both doctors are wonderful, making sure you are comfortable, pain free and receive quality care and with great finished product. read more

Dr. Kauffman is truly the best there is!! He is very knowledgeable and very calming. He has the best bedside manner and makes everything easy and painless. He is caring and his office staff couldn't be nicer. The office is also spotlesss!! I have had many things done in this office from simple cleanings to cavities, extractions and now an implant. My fears wear calmed and I truly had no discomfort during or after each procedure (and I have heard nightmares from others - obviously they didn't use Dr. Kauffman!!) Nothing is a problem (he has relieved my mouth pain many times without making me wait!) I have been to other dentists who were "selling" me things that my mouth needed to have done...not Dr. Kauffman! He is as honest as they come!!! So happy to be a patient here!!! read more

Worst experience. They simply charge for things that are not necessary. I tried to get it covered by my insurance but dentist forinsurance said that the things that they are asking to have done to my son are not necessary. After today's experience I believe them. They were supposed to put a regular crown in for my son even though they were pushing for a porcelain crown. I called yesterday and confirmed regular crown for $300. My son goes in to have the work done and they claim that they put in porcelain crowns and tell me that I have to pay $1000 instead of $300. Of course I am upset and argue with the office manager that they made the mistake. After much aggravation she finally realized that it's their mistake. She then says that they will eat the difference because it was their mistake. Then the secretary calls me for payment of $300. It is then that I am told that they still haven't done the permanent crown (even though the last I was told that he would get the permanent crown today) so I get upset again. The secretary completely ignores me and is talking over me on the phone cause she doesn't want to hear it. I go to the office to make a payment and they tell me that they refuse service to my son because I was not nice! Are they kidding me..... they just didn't want to pay for their mistake! read more

I have gone to now dental a couple of years ago. Everytime I go it's something new. I had a tooth pulled, was told it has to heal before they can put a new tooth in. Go on another appt and they say I need root canal, then I need a tooth replacement. Then months later I ask what about replacing my tooth that was pulled . It's healed by now. Nope they talked about a root canal then taps my tooth does it hurt, I said no, it doesn't hurt. Can you just replace my missing tooth. Never got it. However they did replace 2 tooths at another time still not the first extraction replacement. I got fed up with always going in then being told of another issue to fix. Very expensive charges. I did not return to them. One of their tooth they placed came off. Forget about the appt setting. Then I stopped altogether of going back to Now Dental. It's always more money they saw coming. Needless to say the 2 of their tooth they replaced came out!! Post and all! Horrible place to go to. Don't recommend them at all. They will say your tooth must hurt when it doesn't at all! Went to another dentist and they saw that not only how the tooth in a sandwich bag showed how it came out post and all. They are fixing what was not done. But should have been. In 2018 I went to Now Dental (Mitchell Tuckman, DDS.) for implants. Four years and $50,000+ later I still did not have permanent implants. Overcome by grief for suffering numerous unnecessary procedures I decided to seek out another opinion from my husband's DDS. His oral surgeon informed me that he was not able to help me because I needed someone qualified to do zygomatic implants. It was out of the realm of his expertise. I found someone experienced with my situation and on 5/16/2022 I finally received implants. Of course I had to pay $50,000+. But it was worth it! He was qualified to do my procedure. I wish Dr Kaufman had been honest enough to admit he was not qualified to treat me. I wasted 4 years, countless procedures and $50,000+ for nothing. Pleasant staff. This office is for minor issues. I've had several appointments with Dr. Mendola and he's fantastic! He's meticulous yet quick and efficient while working so you don't feel like you're there forever. He's also so soft-spoken so you feel comfortable and relaxed. I've also had oral surgery done by Dr. Kaufman and he was excellent to work with (he even called me the next day to check up on me). I moved and live about 30 minutes away from the Bellmore office now but still don't want to change dentists because of their staff and service! Dr. Kim, who treats me presently, is an excellent Dentist, extremely professional with his Dental skills, and has done an excellent job explaining procedures, making sure I am happy with the work, and guiding me in decisions how best to treat my teeth and gums.. Grace, the Dental Assistant at Now Dental, is extremely nice, courteous and professional. One of the things most impressive is her approach; never rushes, focuses on the detail and makes sure that her work is perfect. And Patti, the Dental Hygienist, has been excellent in explaining the conditions of my gums, the cleaning of my teeth, whitening my teeth, and advising in keeping my teeth and gums in excellent shape. I've been coming to this office for a very long time. I've had a great experience with a former hygienist, she was a European girl. She did my cleaning and was very gentle and very professional. After she left I had my cleanings with another hygienist which I DID NOT LIKE AT ALL. Her demeanor and the way she treated me was well not gentle to say the least. I've requested not to see that hygienist. I was there recently and had another hygienist (I believe she new) and this hygienist was all over the place. too over the top with everything she said. What bothered me the most was that she was too touchy feely. She rubbed my arm and back and honestly I found it very uncomfortable. I went in to get my teeth cleaned Not a body massage. I may have to look for another dentist, where hygienist do the cleaning in a professional , not aggressive manner and not making me feel uncomfortable because I'm being groped and or touched inappropriately. read more

All these 4 and 5 stars have to be relatives or friends if this office because everytime I pass this place I think of all the trauma this place put me through with billing and selling me on services I didn't need. They were so rude and money hungry. I have been going to the old practice and loved them and would leave happy. When it switched over was when I would leave here in tears. They took me into a side office once and told me about money I owed after telling me I was all paid up. The business manager actually told me I couldn't leave until I paid up. I have been going to this place for about 30 somewhat years. Extensive work done but ever since they changed ownership the new owner cares about nothing more than making money. About three years ago I had my first two implants done at $4500 + each. Last year right around the time when covid was about to close everything up one of them broke off. Unfortunately for me I also needed other work done. Another root canal and crown. I would have had no problem letting them do it but I wanted the implant fixed first. He said he couldn't guarantee it would stay on if he re-cemented it on the day I went but if I came back the following week after they did the root canal he'd try then. I'm done with them. I can't keep paying for new wings on his house out of pocket anymore. Should actually take the prick to court. read more

I'm a very anxious dentist-goer and had to make a lot of appointments over the past two years, and every single appointment has been on time and efficient. Every single visit I felt well cared for, comforted, and it really helped with my anxiety about the procedures. I'm not one to write yelp reviews, but after my last experience with Dr. Kaufman I felt like I needed to tell everyone on the planet about the wonderful service. He performed an implant with help from the hygienist, Benita, and throughout the entire process was a totally calming energy. He's an excellent dentist and everything went perfectly, as planned, and as he had told me he would. He even went so far as to call me personally and check in on me because he knew how nervous I was before the procedure. After one of my stitches came out a couple days later, they squeezed me in to give me the peace of mind I so desperately needed. Every person that works there has been friendly, personable, and willing to help me with whatever I need on every visit. My first visit as well as my first impression the office was extremely clean. The girls at the front desk were so warm and friendly which was comforting because going to the dentist is not always a good feeling for me. There is one thing that made me feel like I made the right decision to go there the dentist asked me if I was in pain and how was I chewing? My teeth were a little neglected by me. That was interesting and caring to me. They assured me that I would be ok and I can say I do believe them. I love love love them . Incredible customer service. Everyone is super nice there and walks you through everything! The only negative is that they try to up sell on you things constantly. As a dentistry they should wait until their patience ask what work they should get done . Besides the upsale I love them.
