Summer plate 8.99

Great service, moderately disappointing food. Really 5 star service, chips were there as we sat down, salsa was warm. Drink refills promptly. Food came out fast. 5 star service with 3 star food. Liberal use of a watery nacho cheese sauce makes everything soggy. 4 people in party, 2 liked the food, 2 did not.

The food was good--flavorful, and well-prepared. Each dish had a nice presentation, and the portions were just right. While the food was enjoyable, the friendly service and welcoming atmosphere made the experience even better. I'd definitely come back to try more of their menu!

First time coming here Service was excellent! Food was on point. I ordered asado de puerco w/ fresh corn tortillas. Our drinks were agua de pepino, which were also fresh and not too sweet. Great place

Salsa de molcajete and flautas and pozole and asada de puerco

Food was some of the best authentic Mexican food in the area we had posole and flautas and the asada de pierce with chile de molcajete and both corn and flour tortillas everything was homemade and fresh. Then as we were packing up our leftovers which was a lot I overheard one of the owners say they had made cabrito the night before so I ordered some Togo and what a great decision.

Large Menudo, and Huevos Rancheros

Had the Menudo with Flour tortillas, wife had the huevos ranchero with papas. Menudo was fresh and hit the spot, wife loved the ranchero sauce with the papas. Not to mention the fresh homemade Flour Tortillas.

We were greeted and seated promptly. We asked for water and she brought chips and salsa. 2 kinds of salsa tomato and a tomatillo. She did say no spicy. It was subjective. The guacamole made to order was perfect. It had just the right lime and salt with not too much tomato. The Chile relleno and pozole was delicious. I ordered a small bowl but I got about a quart of soup. I would come again when I'm in town

Starting the day with fabulous chips, salsa and coffee

I really love this place. It is a solid local Mexican restaurant. I drove by at least five to get here, and I would do it again. I love my salsa warm and the chips were delicious and light. Our breakfast eggs were fabulous. They were cooked well and very flavorful. The coffee was great. Our waitress was super helpful.

Stopped here in the middle of a track meet and honestly, it was such a great choice. The menu has…read moretons of options--pretty much something for everyone. We ordered pupusas, barbacoa, and a burrito. The pupusas were AMAZING (we got the kids' one), and they came with rice and beans that were also really good. The barbacoa came with two tortillas and was flavorful without being overly sweet, which I really appreciated since I'm not a fan of sweet barbacoa. My mom had the burrito and felt it could've had more flavor, but overall the food was still solid. The staff was super friendly, the bathrooms were clean and nice, and it was a comfortable spot to grab lunch. Definitely a great place to stop if you're hungry and want a satisfying, casual meal. Would come back again!

Waited about 15 minutes for Freshly made pupusas that come with tasty curtido and salsa, included. ( bean and cheese), and an order of platanos fritos that came with black beans and crema; portions large enough to share. The pupusa is one of the largest I have gotten, and the consistency and flavor were exactly the way I remember them from my time in El Salvador; authentic and delicious. Cost was $20 total, but would easily have fed two, and I have enough leftover for lunch, tomorrow, so a good value, for good food! Don't miss this spot; they have juices, and bottled and canned drinks, too. Will surely be back to enjoy more good food from their menu!

I went around lunch time and it was not too busy or crowded. Sat at the bar, which appeared clean and was very cozy. It was not loud, but also great for families as well. Good price for what is offered.

Tonight , I visited the one in Humble off of FM 1960, and once again it did not disappoint. I ordered a very good enchilada combination dish called the Coronado that came with shrimp brochette and enchilada, and a crispy beef taco, but I had them take off the taco and add me an extra enchilada, which they did with no problem. It came with rice and beans and I ordered a side of pico de gallo to go with it. It was piping hot , cheesy, and delicious. zero complaints. And my brother even let me try some of his quail, which I had never tried at any Pappas restaurant before and it too was very good. Super tender, smoky and welled seasoned. Now the reason for the 3 stars was the service. We had two servers and they were both very much in their own worlds.. Messed up my drink order out the gate, inattentive to whether or not we needed things, never once's asked how we were coming along with our meal, ( until the very end of both our meals and our dirty plates were still laying there in front of us) and never asked either one of us if we wanted another drink, and we were sitting at the bar! And these were bartenders!! Thus only the 3 stars
