We decided to try this place after reading reviews. We were a party of 8 and entered into a mostly empty place since it was mid afternoon. We were seated and chips n salsa brought out, but no menus. After several minutes we flagged down a girl to get menus. We ordered queso while we decided on our entrees. Our main complaint is the service is really slow and lacking. Most of the time the waiters stood in a corner talking and we had to flag them down to get refills, place our order, get our sides, tortillas and so forth. The food is good tex mex. The fajitas are tasty and well seasoned. I didn't care for the charro beans they tasted overcooked and the broth was tasteless. Because of service I doubt we will return. read more

Okay this is your typical mexican restaurant. Decor is usual and the food was good. The service is standout! They were so inviting and fun to chat with! I ordered the plate with queso puff, cheese enchilada and crispy taco. Queso puff was eh.., cheese enchilada was pretty good I thought and the taco was okay. My boyfriend ordered their beef fajita burrito and was not happy at all. He said the meat tasted like it was boiled. I loved their chips and the green salsa (and I don't usually like green salsa/avocado/guacamole) lol The price is right though and I would go back for other menu items, to give them a chance. read more

Been going to Noyolas for many years. After mass with my children, later with my granddaughter, and now the next generation. Reminiscent of authentic Mexican food from my travels to Mexico. My second time here, breakfast today, dinner last Friday. This is what I consider a 'hole in the wall' 'Mom & Pop' place. This is a complement because I'm looking for exactly these places. Friday night, Carrie and I shared chili relano, refried beans, a spinach enchalada and corn tortillas. Breakfast today was another chili relano with beans, and "huevos rancheros con pork chop". It comes with 2 fried eggs with Spanish sauce, refried beans and 2 nice size, thin cut pork chops. Everything was well cooked, nicely spiced and very tasty. They even made Carrie's special request, chili relano stuffed with scrambled eggs for breakfast. Breakfast and dinner came with a generous basket of fried tortilla chips and 3 small bowls of homemade salsa. The chips are good but we must admit that none of the salsas excites us. Servings are a nice size, not the huge excessive heaps at some places. The prices are low, so you can afford to eat here and order the right amount you want. Nice! First off we were given no menus until I pointed out to someone that worked there, he was seating someone 10 minutes after we got there and giving them their menu's. Second the waitress (a lady with blonde hair) that asked for our drinks was really rude. She asked what we wanted and I told her 2 horchatas and I don't know if there was miscommunication or what because she was standing there and I told her again, 2 horchatas. She rolled her eyes and left, when she brought the drink the practically threw them on the table the glass jar they came in sounded so loud on how hard she let them go. A nice little "hole in the wall" type Mexican restaurant, where the dishes appear to be prepared mostly from scratch, rather than the typical "frozen & reheated" options of most chain restaurants. Mom and pop restaurant with good food. They brought out 3 salsas...green tomatillos, salsa, and fire roasted salsa. I ordered the vegetarian dinner. One specific thing I liked...they waited for me to finish my cold plate first before they brought my hot plate. Most restaurants bring both plates at the same time and the hot plate gets cold. Came here on a whim, was originally going to another restaurant but it was closed. Oh boy, am I absolutely THRILLED I ended up here. First, I immediately was greeted and felt at home. The staff is so sweet and truly make you feel comfortable. Everything is clean, the place is cute, but trust me when I say their food is PHENOMENAL. I got spinach enchiladas and was a little hesitant bc usually the spinach is flavorless and tastes straight out of the can...... that is NOT the case here. The spinach enchiladas were absolutely delicious - and unlike any other restaurant with similar food, I felt absolutely zero guilt after eating - everything was so so so fresh and just absolutely delicious. The food was really good which is the main reason to go to a restaurant. The staff was super friendly and the service was great. The food came out quick too. We had the mole, queso flameado and chimichanga; it was all super tasty. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the decor/atmosphere of the restaurant was dingy. The decorations were dusty and there was a lot of stuff everywhere. That won't stop us from going back though because the food and staff was really great! read more
