The service was amazing they helped me out I had bought tires and rims some someone online they took the rims off to put them on my tires they turned out to be to be a little small and didn't fit my truck they took them off and put my original rims back on my original tires they were really nice and cool about it they're really nice and friendly excellent service I'll definitely be back they did amazing work!!! I went in for a tire rotation and they added a tire balance as well. They also checked my battery which was showing an alert and showed me where my 8 month old battery was testing 640 CCA vs. the 850 CCA it was supposed to be registering. I was able to get a new battery from the previous provider as well. This all made for a very good trip. read more

This review would have been a strong 4. The employee was very nice, seemed to care about getting me taken care of and did not try to convince me to purchase more than I needed. I went in for an alignment but found out that that I had a belt showing on one of my tires. I ended up replacing my two front tires. All went pretty smooth, gave me a deal on the alignment as well as the two tires. I asked them to put the new tires on the front and save the best two of the original 4 tires to put on the back since it's a fwd vehicle. Picked up the car and everything felt great. Got home and realized they put the new tires on the back and the old tires on the front. So I called to ask why they would do that. They then tried to convince me that in a fwd vehicle the back tires take the brunt because of steering and braking which makes zero sense. I went back and forth with them a little just to make sure I was understanding what they were saying. Even in a rwd low horsepower car, the front tires are going to wear more due to steering and braking so I was very confused read more

Somehow the genius at the front desk, Dino, I think his name was, thought it was a good idea to be deceitful and insult my intelligence. He offered me a free oil change in exchange for some information and some "just ink on paper." He insisted that it was a good deal and I shouldn't be so dumb as to pass this up. What he was handing me was an mini application for an NTB credit card. After I looked at it and told him that it was a credit card application, he said that it was not and was just to get some information in the system. In trying to get a few extra dollars, this idiot has now GUARANTEED that I, and probably whoever reads this, will NEVER step foot in another NTB ever again. What this man was doing was not only immoral, but is borderline illegal. Save yourself from ever dealing with the lack of morality at this sad excuse for a business. read more

I brought my daughter's MINI Cooper in for an alignment. Chris helped me out when I came in and was very professional. I noticed he was in and out and I wondered if there was some difficulty with the alignment- it's basically a BMW and is very quirky with parts, tools, etc. I walked out to the alignment rack and saw Chris, who I later found out was the new store manager, under the car adjusting the rear control arms. He was very polite and was even showing the regular alignment tech a few tricks. I am extremely and impressed that they took the time to do it right and get everything within specifications. This is the third store I've been to today just to get a new battery - all the other stores in the area had only one tech on duty and would have taken at least two hours just to get to my car. Frustrated and frazzled, I walked into this NTB, half expecting to be disappointed once again. I never thought I'd write a review about a tire dealer, but I absolutely MUST! I went into NTB (249/Spring Cypress) with two rear tires balding and badly worn. I dreaded the visit, not only because of the pending expense, but also because of the Grumpy Old Man who worked the front of the store. Having scheduled a 5:00 appointment on a Friday, I prepared myself to endure the transaction, and to deal with a tired staff. To my delight, GOM no longer worked there, and GM Chris Stein and his crew dealt with my issue professionally, promptly and personably. I left with two new tires, a service warranty that was honored, education on future maintenance--and a renewed faith in mankind! Made an appointment, once I get thrrr they tell me it will be 3 hours before they can get to it. I need one tire replaced. They could have called to let me know before I drove all the way over there and rearranged my schedule. Highly unprofessional in my opinion. Yikes. However nice you may be at the front desk. It is really poor form to be two and a half hours past your quoted time to be done with a two tire change, and an alignment. Management should be aware of how to juggle your time, clients, and vehicle service. funny. When it's close to closing time how everyone all the sudden needs to close out their tickets before your vehicle is done. My daughter needed to replace a tire that had a bubble in the sidewall of her tire that we noticed while running errands. Friday night, we arrived an hour before they closed and there was only one other person waiting on a vehicle. Initially, the manager Chris seemed attentive and honest but then he started adding things on starting with a second tire. The red-headed and bearded guy that was at the counter, Brandon, thought it was funny to tell us her was out of air and would need to use a bicycle pump to inflate the tire. I'm not sure if they thought because we are women we are ignorant or what. The manager went to show us the tires options that were in stock then proceeded to add an oil change to the work order without even asking. My daughter said it was fine because she was almost due for it. Then 15 minutes before close, we were headed back to pick up her car and get a call that she also needs a serpentine belt, back brakes, and a rear shock which would make her &617 bill $1500 per the quote of Brandon. We refused at further work. He quoted $50 for the belt that he was going to pick up at Auto Zone that was literally $25.99. She bought the brakes and belt and went to my brothers to change them. There was no damage to the belt nor were "cords showing" on the belt. The brake pad they said was only good for another month and at less than 20% still had 60%. She went ahead and changed the pads since she had the parts and already had the old ones off. She didn't change the belt. The manager also tried to get her to apply for the NTB credit card about 4 times while we stood there despite us saying no. Now, I'm wishing I had checked the rear tire they said needed to be changed myself. This type of aggressive and dishonest service is not ethical. We expect to trust the professionals we go to for real car issues not ones that are fabricated so they sales person, not the mechanic, can sell services that are not really needed. read more

if I could give this place zero stars I would. I don't give reviews much but I'm pretty irritated with this company and the way that they do business. I went in to get my brakes and rotors changed on the front of my truck. when I got in my truck, all of my lights were on on the dash, I was OK with that and I know mistakes happen but as soon as I was driving off after agreeing to bring it back the next morning, I noticed my brakes did not work at all. That's when I then got pretty pissed off and wondering why such a simple job turned into a nightmare all the sudden. I then brought it back and they fixed that issue. Supposedly, they did not bleed the brake lines properly which in my eyes is a common sense thing when you're changing breaks. The next day I got a code for service break monitor sensor , I then looked on the inside of my rotor and noticed a line was disconnected assuming that was my sensor that they did not connect. I'm now having issues with my truck, not starting and a whole lot of issues that are happening after taking my truck to this place. You take your vehicle to this place, they honestly should not be in business. read more

I was TOLD to come back even though it would be around this time because I don't get off work any earlier and THEIR MECHANIC ALREADY LEFT. I brought my wife's car just before closing for 2 new tires. They were friendly and fast, but they did tell me she would get a free alignment. I even asked if they could do it right then and they said it was too late (which it was)... but I asked if my wife scheduled an appointment later it would still be free? They said yes. Just to make sure I asked more than one employee, and several times. When my wife scheduled her appointment she had to pay $90 for the alignment. I told them I asked several times and they told me it was free, but they told me it was free "check and advise" and that I misunderstood. It was not a misunderstanding, it was misleading which is why I asked so may times. So over $90 they lost another customer. There is a reason this place has 2.5 stars on yelp, and I never fill out these reviews. read more

They are also very veteran friendly and that is great to see. Take your vehicle here, stop by Joy Love Burgers at the end of the parking lot while you wait, and feel confident they have you covered. 17-Jan-2019: a little update. Had some damage to a tire when I hit a curb and brought in a car for a tire replacement. During the work, the manager Chris had found out why the wheel felt wobbly. Apparently the impact on the wheel was rougher than I thought it was. He identified the wheel had been bent and also that the bearings and hub were affected. The guys here were able to find a matching replacement rim and the parts needed to get the car back in good shape. It wasn't exactly a cheap repair, but most of the cost was in parts; the stuff that they don't normally deal with, like the hub and the wheel replacements, Chris got in from a outside sources and gave to me at a fair price. Car is running better now and I'm thankful for the extra time they put in for me. read more

I went in for service on my car and instead o doing what I wanted done they tried to up sell my for things I didn't want. I ended up walking out and I won't go back. I went to another NTB location not long ago because a tire on my truck had a slow leak and I wanted it repaired. They kept it in the garage for a half hour charged me 20 dollars only to find it flat the next day. I took it to discount tire, they took a nail out of it, patched it, put it back on and didnt charge me a dime. read more

Never good customer service they don't do their job complete because "they are short staffed" if you think when you get your oil change you get fluids filled and tires checked .... you don't. Went in to get tire rotation. Left and got on SH-249 and noticed my hood rattling. Had to exit and check it out. The hood of the car was not closed. I guess part of the service was they check the battery. They did not close the hood. This could of ended very badly. This place need to be very careful or retrain their employees. read more

I called Monday to see how long the wait would be. Your employee explained there was a 2-3 hour wait and that they may not even see me. I then scheduled an appointment for 6:00 pm for the next day. I left work an hour early to make sure I would make it to the appointment on time. I showed up at your store at 5:36 pm. Just to be told that the tire technician was on an hour break. I couldn't believe what I was being told. Then my husband ask " Then what is the point of an appointment?" Your employee answered I don't know with a grin. I don't appreciate my time being wasted .I have family to attend to. I left your store upset and without a fixed or with new tires. A courtesy call would be appreciated. So I could've made other arrangements. I don't want anything from NTB and will no long use NTB services. I just wanted you to be aware of the way your customers are being treated. I just left Discount Tire they took care of me for free and in 30 minutes. Did I mention I bought my tires from you all. Due to the poor customer service NTB provides you have lost my business and I will definitely pass my experience along. I failed to mention this was not my first upset with this location. We highly recommend do not take your vehicles to NTB off of 249 Tomball Highway. I used to trust them but the management has changed. We moved to Katy 2 years ago, yet I returned to NTB off of 249 with my 2002 Mustang GT Coupe to get the tires rotated, balanced and aligned (needed after a brake job). This was where bought the tires, and I had taken my car there for years before. After 2 hours waiting in the lobby for a job that doesn't take 2 hours, though I had a warranty I paid the bill and left. When I turned the ignition my car screeched loudly and startled me. Not good! I immediately went back into NTB. They sent a tech out to my car, yes I should have gone with him and watched him under the hood. He came back in and said "your battery is at 28%, you need a new battery". He's the tech right? So after paying $180 for a new battery and 30 minutes, I finally left NTB late for an appointment. Initially my car didn't make the sound again, but it was riding very rough, worse than before the balance/alignment; not good. After leaving my next appointment, the awful sound returned. NTB was closed or I would have gone right back. However, I'm so glad that I didn't. Instead I drove home to Katy with a car that sounded terrible and handled badly. After this I'm very glad that we took my car to AutoCheck Elite on Kingsland. They showed us not only did NTB off 249 charge for a rotation/balance/alignment, they didn't do it correctly. AutoCheck Elite on Kingsland corrected NTB's mistake at no cost. Also, the awful screeching sound had absolutely nothing to do with the battery, and most likely I didn't need a new one at that time. If NTB had done the work properly, they would have noted a broken belt in the right rear tire. If NTB had done the work properly, driving my car would not have felt like an old jalopy on 3 wheels. AutoCheck Elite corrected NTB's bad work and replaced the 15 yr old clutch. This is what had suddenly made the screeching sound. It is very strange to need a new clutch immediately after a bad visit to NTB. Just saying. They are in my opinion a spurious auto shop that saw a vulnerable female driver to take advantage of and $$$ opportunity. The only good thing I can say about the experience is the guys at the counter were nice and seemed to genuinely want to help. The manager barely acknowledged me, was more interested in his lunch, and spoke only to the technician. Take your vehicles to NTB at your own risk, caveat emptor!!! read more

I have been coming to this location for about 8 years. In the last 1-2 years, this place had gone down hill. Repeatedly, they are not able to carry out the services in a reasonable amount of time. My wife needed a tire plugged and it took the store two hours to complete. I went in for a tire change in June and it took 5 1/2 hours of me waiting for the work to be done. Each hour, they would come in to the waiting room and say "It's almost ready." For each instance, and appointment was made online, but it appears that making an appointment has no bearing on when the work will be done. On top of the ridiculous time for completing the work, they attempted to recommend additional services that were not needed. I was told that the vehicle needed a complete brake job. I declined and went to the dealer, and the dealer said that the brakes and rotors were just fine. Someone was attempting to take our money. NTB is a great brand, but there is no way that I will be returning to this location. read more

This is where I go to get tire and alignment services done, I recently got tires an alignment done and Walter went head and above to get exactly what I wanted! I wanted Goodyear white letter tires and there was a problem locating them in their system. As it was late in the day I asked if he would check on it the next day and give me a call, sure enough he called at 9am the next day and told me he found them and were ready to be installed, so went there and dropped my truck off and got some lunch and he called me to let me know it was ready before I finished eating! Went there a month later to check on my alignment, and checked out in the green but rotated my tires to tweak it and seems to be better. Walter is one hell of an employee and is really good at his job. If he wants more money then I would promote him or fear him going to work for someone else. Visited this location today for an oil change and my personal information was entered wrong on my receipt. I brought it to the store Manager attention and he said there wasn't anything he could do. My concern was if somewhere down the line if there come about to be an issue with my Oil Change and my address and phone number didn't match. Needless to say if something does go wrong I'll be getting the law involved. The killing part is the clerk who initially rung me up asked me my address twice before taking my keys. read more
