This review is LONG OVERDUE. I've been coming to Mary for a few years now. When I first saw her, my skin was a NIGHTMARE! I had cystic acne and pimples all on my chin (my problem area) I did exactly what she recommended for my face (treatments) as well as using the Face Reality line. Fast forward to now- my skin has never looked so good! She's honest, kind, and never tries to upsell you anything. She's a godsend sent from the skin gods. Ok, so I dislike getting facials because the first time I did it (at a different place) I did not like the experience. However, Mary made me feel really comfortable! She was super sweet and knowledgeable!! At one point I even commented that my face felt like it was literally DRINKING lol! I've been fighting adult acne FOREVER!! Over the last 10 years I've tried numerous over-the-counter products such as proactiv, murad, clinique, and tons of others but my acne never went away. Today was the first time I went to get a facial in a VERY LONG time so I wasn't sure what to expect but Mary was very nice and very welcoming. Her place is located inside Positive Image Salon in the same shopping center where Seafood City is. It's actually right next to the market. It's a small room inside the salon. I got an acne facial that lasted about an hour for $65. The extractions hurt! I shed a few tears lol. But my skin feels good now and not all clogged up and congested like it was before. It is a bit red in the areas where the extractions were done but she did let me know about that. So happy I found Mary on Yelp & it's near my house too so I'm happy about that. I go to Mary for cortisone shots for my cystic acne. She also offers saline shots for the little "dent" that can appear as a side effect of the cortisone shots! This updated review has to be for her facials. I go to her for the acne facial. It includes face cleansing, face steam, microdermabrasion, a very thorough extraction, mask, blue light, and some weird electric shot thing (lol) that kills bacteria! An hour facial all for under 100$. To be honest the first few days my face is a mess after the extraction. After everything heals up my face looks amazing!! I'm hooked! read more

This review is not for Mary's facials, but rather for her lack of customer service skills. I've utilized Mary as a Face Reality expert/retailer for some time, but I will no longer support her business. I purchased a Face Reality Moisture Balance toner from her last month and just got around to opening it since I still had some in my previous bottle. Upon opening it, I noticed it smelled of pure alcohol, but I didn't think too much into it and still used it. Now a week later, my skin is extremely dry, irritated, broken out, and peeling everywhere. I reached out to her to see if I can exchange it, but she said she doesn't offer exchanges on opened products. I understand that's her policy in usual circumstances, however, I'm disappointed that she wouldn't honor a one time exchange being that the product I purchased from her is clearly defective and has messed up my skin. I understand she is not to blame for Face Reality's mistake, however, she is the retailer I purchased from and should honor a one time courtesy exchange. I've been a faithful client and supported her business since I found her and have never tried to return or exchange anything other than this once. But I will not continue to support a business that is clearly more focused on money than their client's skin and wellbeing. Mary is definitely very nice but I don't think she's professional enough to treat acne. I have a lot of underneath acne, she pushed so hard to extract them so they leave a lot of marks on my face. During the extraction it was super painful and I asked if it will leave a mark, she said she's not sure. I came to Mary with bad adult acne. I've checked out a couple of facial services in the area prior to discovering her and out of all the dermas I've seen, she's the only one who's been able to do something with my skin problems. She made the acne and pimple scars disappear within a few months of seeing her. I first did a consult with her and she recommended doing a two step peeling before proceeding with micro needling.
