I am so pleased with the professionalism and excellent care I received when I contacted Nu-Way. My air conditioner stopped working during a very hot day. Nu-Way sent their tech out within the hour and fixed the problem. He came with a mask on and took great care in my home. Once he identified the problem, the office sent out for the required party and delivered it. The tech was able to fix the problem within hours. I totally trust this company. My unit is very old. They were able to fix the issue rather than just try to sell me a new system. I highly recommend this company! They are quick to respond, courteous, caring and extremely knowledgeable. Do not use this company at all. They had the audacity to actually tell my fiancee that she was being unreasonable! Like what kind of place actually does that? It should not matter how long we have had our system! It's like a car. You drive it until the wheels fall off. Oh to add a bit more to the back story, we have been having problems with our system for quite some time and we know it's an old system that we are trying to hold up on replacing until it totally goes. Anyway after the last fiasco yesterday our unit was leaking through the ceiling. We call the 24 hours emergency line and they actually ask us if indeed it was an emergency and then state, you do know it's a Sunday. I don't care what day it is, if you don't wanna show up don't offer a 24 hour emergency line or if you're just a tech maybe you should find a new profession. Anyway today was the final straw. Nu-Way went above and beyond my expectations. First time customer and we had an emergency gas leak in the home. Ken and Austin showed up right away and were professional and extremely knowledgeable. Use them ONLY if money is burning a hole in your pocket. For approx. 2.5 hours of service, they charged nearly $700. What did they do? $189 diagnosis and $375 for refiling Freon & flushing out the coil. When we called to discuss the charges, here is the response we got "You got your AC fixed didn't you? so what's the F$#@ problem?!!" UPDATE: Jun 2012 10 months later, I got a surprise call from the president of the company to ratify the situation. He was apologetic and sincere and offered me a full refund. I told him that I am willing to pay for the original diagnosis charge and he refunded me $500. More than the refund I am happy that they called and try to resolve the issue. It shows integrity. Even through, my initial encounter with the company was not the best I am willing to give them another chance. read more

Incredible experience with Nu-way last week. Never used them before. We had our main AC split level unit go bust. We were so hot and drenched in sweat. After calling around the soonest anyway could get here was 3 weeks away! I have a 4 year old, and that was unacceptable. I called Nu way on a Monday and there were here Thursday with a crane and two brand new AC units! They had an army of people and vans. They were extremely professional and laid down protection for our floors and put plastic covers on their shoes. They stayed until 7 pm to finish the job and thank god for the blessed coolness. They charged me almost USD 500 to replace a leaking air vent valve in my heating system. USD 185 for the "diagnose" (which i told them over the phone that all i needed was someone to come over and replace the valve - that costs around USD 10 at home depot) + USD 260 for service and parts (15 minutes service). I had Nu-Way come it to service the HVAC system in my apartment. I was able to get an appointment quickly, which was great because my AC decided to die in the middle of a hot spell. The technician was punctual and professional. He put covers over his boots to protect my floors which I was happy about. He diagnosed the system and quickly figured out the problem and remedied it. I do not have a service plan, so I had to pay to get the technician in the door (which they discounted for me because the previous owner of my apartment had a contract with them). The price of the service troubled me though. During the service, I asked the technician how much it would cost to have the bi-yearly maintenance performed on the system, and he said $190. This fee covers many preventive services. The technician told me that one of the services included in that price was what had to be done to fix my system. He did the one service, and I was then billed $190. After he left I had a bit of a sour taste in my mouth, feeling like I had just over paid. Fortunately Nu-Way gave me a call later in the day to see if I was satisfied with their work. This gave me the opportunity to voice my concern. The staff was professional and concerned about my situation. They were never difficult at all. It took three weeks and a bit of following up, but Nu-Way agreed to refund me the fee to get the technician in the door. I did not have to get angry or threaten an adverse review to get them to refund the money. They recognized the issue and acted. I am very satisfied with my Nu-Way experience and would recommend them to anyone needs HVAC servicing. read more

I have been a Nu-Way fan for many years, but my most recent service call inspired me to write my first "yelp" review. My two very old air conditioning condensers became inoperative during our recent heatwave. I thought they were shot---- I called, and received same day service. Within an hour of arrival, the technician diagnosed and remedied the problems, at a very reasonable cost. I have had a service contract with Nu-Way for about ten years so far. I agree with Hector M's review dated 9/1/2016--I have found Nu-Way to be efficient, courteous, professional,and knowledgeable. They also have integrity. The technicians are experienced, courteous, and respectful--always covering their shoes with protective booties to not bring dirt from outside into your home. The staff that answers the phone/ dispatches are also always courteous, helpful with scheduling, and responsive...lets you know, after giving you a window for technician arrival, when the technician is 10-15 minutes away. Thank you, Nu-Way, for being a company that is easy to do business with, and that cares about the client experience. read more

No, I'm not a shill. These guys gave me a good price (half of a another quote), showed up on time, worked with my contractor (he had to repair parts of the attic after NuWay removed the old, busted equipment), returned exactly when they said they would, installed everything new, and were done. The most impressive thing? My ductwork was really old and beat up, and I asked if it needed replacement. Instead of selling me the kitchen sink at great expense, they pointed out the couple of things that needed work, and told me not to bother with the rest. Trust me, that is unusual. read more

I am new to the area and having lived in Las Vegas the last five years, I expected the same dishonest, shady, and price gauging experience with AC service that I was accustomed to. Wow, was I surprised. Along with the great service, Nu Way was extremely accommodating. I travel for work and my schedule is erratic at best. I must have changed my service appointment 10 times and each time I called they were patient while I tried to figure out when I (not them) was available. Oh, and my AC is AMAZING! Used them for 12 years and they replaced my compressor unit 7 years ago with what they claim was a Brand name manufacturer product. It had a 5 year warranty and failed due to an unknown 'catastrophic electrical malfunction'. Oh, and by the way you may want to replace the Attic Blower unit while we're at it and a very 'reasonable' package rate. I asked them whether there was a problem with the Blower (which by the way, they had replaced 10 years prior because they said the builder had used an undersized, inefficient unit); they told me there was no problem with this unit other than the fact that it was getting old. I explained to them that I use the AC maybe 2-3 months in the year for the past 10 years... my Florida house has a unit running 24/7 365 days a year for the 7 years. I also asked them whether they felt that 6 years a ridiculously short life span for a compressor unit considering my home has two units (upstairs and downstairs zones) and the downstairs unit was installed by general contractor back in 2003?!? Again their explanation was the unknown 'catastrophic electrical malfunction' that was no longer under warranty. I was just a little skeptical so I asked my neighbor whose father is a developer in town and he recommended a reputable HVAC company who came to my house. Interestingly, they informed me that although the unit was made by a Brand name manufacturer; the unit is what they consider a 'Contractors Grade' unit produced for large new construction real estate developments. Typically, these units have shorter warranties and last approximately 5-7 years. In addition, when they examined the attic Blower, they told me it has been sitting in water from condensation for an extended period of time and that the bottom of the unit was almost completely rusted out!!! It probably wouldn't have lasted more than another season. The drainage tube for the water pan under the Blower was clogged. This probably explains the bubbling paint in the Master Bedroom on the floor below. I remind you that for the past 12 years every spring summer and fall, they came to service my unit(s) without fail. I even had them cleaning my ducts; but they never noticed that my blower unit was rusting through the attic floor. Or at least not until they found the 'catastrophic electrical malfunction'. Obviously, I did not take their 'special package deal'; nor do I advise anyone else to use this joke of a 'Service' company. read more

Horrible and dishonest experience...I feel that I have to post this review after the experience I had with Nu Way. When my upstairs air conditioning wasn't turning on, they told me that my fluid had leaked out and it would be thousands of dollars in labor to diagnose why and they recommended spending $7,000+ to replace my unit. A second opinion from an honest rye-based technician revealed that NuWay had turned off the outside unit and that my fluid was totally full. He flipped the switch on the unit and the air conditioning is now working totally fine. Based on my experience, I would characterize Nu Way as dishonest and incompetent. read more
