we had tried to get our system fixed several months ago. Well, the first time they fixed it or said they did and that we needed Freon and we paid for it in full as they said they would come back when it got warmer. We believed it. they then returned removed our filter and pretended to install a new one. our system has not worked since and they never returned. we had to call a new technician who said they didn't do anything but pretend to fix it as we need a new motor. we were scammed and now they won't return calls or our money back. I have a very old Friedrich AC that sometimes worked, sometimes stopped working. When I put out a request for repair via Yelp, very few companies came back - I guess the job was too small for most of the established companies. Dream Service Team responded and arranged a technician to come over the next day. During the scheduling process, I told them I had an important appointment that this repair must be done by 1 pm; Dream Service Team respected that condition; I appreciate it. When the technician arrived, he examined the machine and confirmed the machine's shut down was due to overheating compressor. He also explained that, as the machine is very old (20+ years), it is not worthy to repair the compressor. However, as short term workarounds, he showed me how to reset my power box; some tricks to help the compressor to cool down faster. These workarounds will allow me a bit more time to shop for a proper replacement unit. Dream Team sent a technician the very next day (Saturday!) after speaking with Sam about a poorly functioning air conditioner. The tech examined the unit, and was frank about it having a leak, causing low levels of Freon. His opinion that the cost of repair would not be worth it, and a better option would be to purchase a new unit. He was polite, on time, and knowledgeable.
