Recently visited after leaving THEE Fort Valley State because I thought they were only in Macon. I had been wanting Nu Way for a minute & was glad to stumble upon this one. I was excited, but it wasn't the best. The drive thru was long so I went inside. The customer service was good. The food was fresh, but wasn't the best. The service was good but that is where it ends. I ordered a dog and chilli cheese fries. The dog was just your plain dog with chilli from a can on a cheap roll that couldn't hold a noodle. The fries were not fried long enough had canned chilli with a slice of (slice) processed cheese not melted they were cold even. Nope never again read more

We walked in and we're immediately greeted with smiles and hellos. Very friendly staff. Made us feel like very important people. We have been passing this place for years and finally got to stop. We all got the Nu-way Monday special. It's a mix and match 3 burgers or hotdogs. I got the slaw dog, chili dog and chili burger. It is plain and simple food no frufru here. But I will say it's good. Their chili has a small bit of of spice but not to much that it's not enjoyable. It's no beans chili and doesn't soggy up the bun too much. I loved the coleslaw it's ground very fine and doesn't smell of heavy onions like some do. Their fries are thick and made to order. We also got the apple pie. They must keep them frozen then heat them up. It was still frozen a little. The crust was extremely flaky and the apples were cut small but tasted delicious and wasn't just crust with a small amount of apple it was stuffed. We will definitely stop here again. Simply decorated with pictures of their history and their cute tip jar too! Which we left her some. Just a small town hotdog and burger place. They also serve breakfast but we didn't try that yet. Nu-Way Weiners is an institution in Georgia, primarily around the Macon, Georgia area. The two big hot dog restaurant chains in Georgia are the Varsity and Nu-Way Weiners. For me, Nu-Way Weiners has always been the hands-down winner. The staff was friendly here and the food, as always, was good. I will say that I have noticed at the Fry's I've gotten a tad bit worse, or maybe they always were and I focus more on the hot dogs and hamburgers. I would 100% recommend any of the Nu-Way Weiners locations. read more

I like their breakfast sandwiches and tater tots. You can get a chicken biscuit for breakfast as well and it's my favorite. It's not on the menu by the window so I don't think many people order it and they have to fix it fresh which takes a few minutes but they seen me in line today and asked before I even got to the speaker. They have other breakfast biscuits and sandwiches which look good and I have to try. They are made to order so you know their not sitting around. I also like their tots which I put a dab of their mayonnaise on each one. Their coffee isn't very good unless you like week coffee that turns grey with cream. I LOVE SWEET TEA but I have noticed that when I drink their sweet tea I get a tummy ache pretty quick. I drank a few swallows with my sandwich and soon after had a slight tummy ache, I later finished my tea that evening after I worked in my garden and it happened again. They need to give their tea machine a thorough cleaning. This is the Ft. Valley Ga. location. They are known for their red hotdogs but have other sandwiches and burgers. Food is pretty good but service is wishy washy and slow depending on who is at the window. I will have to try other food and update my review. read more

The hot dog was good. I was really craving one for lunch.. I got it all the way. Fries were so-so, nothing to brag about and needed salt but they were alright I was satisfied with my lunch. That was my first time there and I'm sure I will return. read more

There's a lot to like about this place. It's a satellite of the Macon eateries and every bit as good. I know people who would drive 30 miles out of their way just to get a cup of the ice served here to ruin their teeth with. They have a keg in bonafided scrambled dog. The weenie is real red. Like cyclamate red from Chernobyl red. Had a dandy pop to it though and tasted delicious rolled in a slice of that government cheese. The Greek chili is dark, loaded with paprika and Gerald's from a secret family recipe handed down for generations. I like stuff like that. Rugs on my heartstrings. Every place that I've eaten a chili dog with a secret family recipe I have been impressed with tastiness of the thing. This is a fine chili dog. It can be messy so grab an extra napkin before you dive in. Easy to eAt two as the first one slides down effortlessly and tastes so good. Try to eat three and you are signing your own death warrant. Stopped by for breakfast. Spicy dog biscuit was very delicious and very unhealthy! Coffee was good too. Nice server at the drive through and reasonable price. Had to wait a few minutes but that's because its cooked to order. read more

First off, I have no complaints about the food we ordered. The hot dogs were tasty, if a bit odd to look at with the hot pink stripe down the middle. The cole slaw was fresh and chopped fine like my husband likes it. The chili sauce is interesting... I think I detected cinnamon? The fries were cold. The real reason for the low rating is the awful service we received. We ordered one combo and one hot dog with the chili sauce on the side. When the food came out it wasn't right. I simply asked for it to be corrected, never expecting to hear the two women yelling at each other and berating the cook who was really trying hard to make it right. It wasn't a complicated order but because of the unprofessional way of doing business (yelling the order through a tiny window, whilst a coworker was singing loudly standing in the same area) things got out of control. The "singer" also was the one snapping her coworker with an empty bag and snapped me instead. During the commotion another customer came in and quickly left. This was our first Nu-Way experience. I don't know that I've ever eaten inside of this location, but use the drive-thru occasionally. Never had any issues with my food, their breakfast is pretty good, pancakes are very "homemade". Only issue I've ever had has been waiting, but that's to be expected when you order at the window and the food is made-to-order. read more

Ok this was hands down the WORST food we've ever tried at a fast food joint! My parents and kids got hotdogs and french fries...they were cold and tough...Plus they tasted bad...really off putting! I ordered a cheeseburger-it was hot but it's taste was...how do I describe this...chewy burnt nothingness. Like charcoal briquette flavored chewing gum. I had to spit out the one and only bite I took. This food was awful. In addition to the food being bad the bathrooms were FILTHY, I mean feet sticking to the floor and unidentified smears and splatters on the wall. ICK ...have been wanting to try Nuwave hotdogs in Macon was so excited when we saw there was one here...Needless to say, we will not be repeat customers to ANY location...
