I haven't been here in a while and initially wanted a pancake but decided on the salmon breakfast. The consistency of the grits was really nice. The egg was cooked well. Now the salmon and the biscuits. They lacked a lot of flavor. The salmon needed much seasoning and onion. I really could not sense it was actually salmon with the blandness of it. The biscuits didn't have a buttery taste. Something was missing to give them that umphh. I would definitely go back, but I would revert back to ordering country ham if they still have it. They definitely have great prices, I will say. Kudos for giving customers pockets a break. Customer service is always friendly. 3.5 stars for today's visit. read more

If you're looking for a locally-owned, authentic alternative to Cracker Barrel or Waffle House, look no further. The restaurant was filled with locals, as evidenced by the wait staff greeting folks by name. The service was super fast and friendly. Very clean, including restrooms. Meals were piping hot and served quickly with a smile. All the staff worked together to make sure each table had full cups of hot coffee and their meals served up as soon as they were ready. The Double V's burger was phenomenal- a real standout. The eggs and bacon were well cooked, the biscuits had that lovely buttermilk bite, and the link sausage tasted homemade. For all that, prices were very reasonable. We've added this to our must stop list for the Florida Road-trip. read more

I gave three stars for customer service the staff was pretty awesome proficient and helpful the inside was clean it wasn't that busy so I was in and out... *The Food* the food was less than mediocre I should've listened to my mom when she said I'll cook you breakfast at home because this was a waste of $7 bucks the food was bland the fried steak tasted like corn dogs (not sure how that's possible but that's what I tasted) my toast was too buttery I read reviews that this was the best place for breakfast hands down not sure if I went on a bad day or it was an off day for them but to sum it up I won't return. read more

Don't waste your time at Mickey D's. Come here instead. For $5.70 you get a combo with two hotdogs or two hamburgers with fries and a drink. I asked for one of each so I can try them both. I was told breakfast is really good. Have to come back and try it. 3 stars only because it's a first visit. Everyone is really nice and the food is much better than fast food junk. The first time, I came for breakfast. That was fine. Nice portions. Plates served hot & fresh. I was pretty excited when the waitress asked if I wanted syrup & offered cane syrup as an option (exactly where's the option in that?!?)....but it turned out to be store bought like the other syrup. Today's my second time here. Hubz loves it here & ordered a burger & tots. Since I was treated by flies at the self-serve table, I lost my appetite. First visit gets 4 Stars for customer service, food & experience. Today's visit? Not at all buzz worthy. Maybe this is just a descent breakfast place. I'm less than impressed after today's experience, & I'll likely pass in the future. read more

I came off the highway and was told I would have to wait to be seated at a chain restaurant. I drove a couple extra miles to Johnny V's and I'm happy I did. The service was instant, everyone was pleasant. I had a cheeseburger & fries with iced tea. The burger was freshly made & juicy, fries crisp and tea unsweetened, just as I asked. Super friendly staff that works together to make everything super efficient. If speed is what a breakfast place needs then they have it in spades. Got busy in a heartbeat, but they did not miss a beat. My food came out fast and hot. It was very good at a more than reasonable price. It reminds me of the kind of breakfast joint that you can't find anymore. Simple menu with a few surprises mixed in. Only complaint would be that I went there to do a little work and they were so efficient and fast that I didn't have time to do anything before the food got there. If you are thinking about eating here...STOP!!! Do not do it...save your money & your health. If you call the order in, they will NOT start making your food until you come into to pay. They DO NOT tell you this, but when you get there & pay, they tell you it will be only 10 more minutes. WRONG...THINK AGAIN!! We waited another 30 minutes....NEVER AGAIN. Staff is friendly and helpful, and good food comes out fast! I heard so much about the place I finally went had sausage patty fried eggs and grits the first time then the second time had the same thing BUT the grits portion was soooooooo small more cheese than grits for 7$ I was very disappointed I notify the owner he was rather RUDE instead of him trying to please me the customer I took photos of the smallllll portion and will show him BUT I'll Neva Return THERE AGAIN cause they have no compassion for the customer very displease and disgruntle check your food if u order out cause they give out very very small portions but I will not tell none of my friends and I'm not from Georgia but neva again mr rude owner read more

Tried this place for the time this morning . I don't know what the big hoo-haa is about . I had a steak and cheese biscuit with hashbrowns . The biscuit was tasteless (honestly had an aftertaste of "bleach" if that makes sense) , the steak was tasteless . I had to dump salt on it for it to be good . And that's saying something . The hashbrowns were tasteless too . Had to dump salt and ketchup all over it to taste anything. And enjoy it . That's sad . Maybe I just didn't order the right thing , but . The servers were nice , but make sure you have cash if you want to leave a tip . We had a card to pay with , and we couldn't leave a tip on the slip ... read more

A great place for a quick lunch or breakfast. The hamburgers are made from fresh ground beef not frozen. The hot dogs are your standard dog but the chili is what makes them great. If your going there from breakfast, get there way before breakfast ends because they run out of biscuits sometimes. Out of Nu Ways and Johnnys V's I prefer this place, it cheaper and the burgers and hots dogs are better. Also Nu Way's uses pre made biscuits, Johnny V''s are made fresh in house. read more

This is an off-the-beaten-path, locally owned and operated eggs and burger place specializing in breakfast and lunch. I've only eaten lunch here, however, so all of this applies only to lunches. They serve hamburgers, hotdogs and open-faced gravy plates. Lots of workers come in, as well as lots of local folks, which is a vote in favor of good food. Nothing fancy, just tasty plates. The Double V burger with cheese is my favorite: two hamburger patties (made from freshly ground beef, not frozen patties), lettuce, tomato, mayo and cheese on a fresh bun. Very tasty. I've also had the double gravy plate (tater tots, two hamburgers covered with gravy) but I just didn't find it very tasty. Sort of bland, which is why I prefer the burger. But they serve a lot of gravy plates so people obviously like them. And these people know how to fix meals in a hurry. They have a drive-through window that is used a lot, or you can go in to sit down. They usually have at least two people working the grill, and you can be in and out of here in 15-20 minutes with no problem; going through the drive-through is quick and not a long wait. They must partially-cook the burgers and stack them, then heat them on the grill in order to be so fast. No issue with that -- they are freshly made and tasty. The staff is friendly and they really hustle. If you want an alternative to the fast food chains with freshly made hamburgers, this is a good option. read more
