The best fast food hotdog, perfect for when you just want some fatty food. It's small so you would want to get multiple if you're hungry.

Awesome old school hot dog joint. Nothing fancy, just quick and tasty dogs. Hope they stick around for another 100 years!

Nu-way isn't somewhere I frequent because it is more costly than other businesses however it was a treat from my sissy pooh. Good breakfast this morning from the Emery Hwy location. The country ham sandwich and tots were prepared fresh. Although the country ham was a tad bit salty, it still was really good. Friendly customer service as well. Much appreciated.

Nu-Way is an institution in the Macon, Georgia area, celebrating 100 years and I myself have been frequenting this Macon icon for over sixteen years. When I am in or around Macon, I find myself often stopping at one of their locations for a hot dog or burger (usually both). This is a far better option than the usual national fast food chains that offer subpar burgers. If you are a fan hot dogs and burgers, give them a try. With a hundred year history, they are obviously doing something right.

Wow. Red hotdogs. Naked. With slaw . With chili hotdog sauce like they sell in a can at Fresh Market for $6 ( but better- cause it has a tetch of cinnamon) A burger to beat out the competition that's why they call it the MEGAburger- if you are starving- and not diabetic yet- consider the Mega superSize. Great service. Ice tea in tub sized cubs with shaved chewy crunchy ice. If red hotdogs "skair" you- go for the beefy version - a purist will ask for squeeze bottle of mustard- don't forget Fries. We were there this week and I saw an 80 jump out of a moving car so she could beat us to front of line. After eating there / I don't blame her. This is history folks. Put it in your list. .

A Nu-way is good any time of the day...still tastes the same as it always has. The staff has always had manners. The BEST Iced Tea in the Central Georgia area!! Chili Dogs

Stopped by because we heard this was a Macon institution that's been around for over 100 years and that it has the best hot dogs in the States. We got the hot dog all the way (comes with chili, mustard and raw onions) and a plain hot dog. The hot dog is a bright pink red color. The most unique thing about the hot dog is the color of it. The all the way dog was really salty. The chili was overwhelming and I didn't particularly care for it. The hot dog itself is on the thinner side and is firm. The hot dog is brightly colored on the outside while the middle is almost white so it looks a bit strange. Perhaps it was the hype but the only thing about my-way dogs that stood out to me was the unique color. 10 locations in Georgia but the original one burned down a couple of years ago and they're still in the process of "rebuilding" it. The interior has the look and feel of an older diner. Hot dogs were ok but I would go out of my way to come here

We heard the recommendations to try Nu-Way while in Macon, and while most of the time we are driving through, today we were enjoying a day trip to the city so decided to finally see what the hype was about. Atmosphere- typical fast food feel and while not crowded with seating, it felt comfortable. Lots of pictures and articles throughout the restaurant to see the history and the early restaurants from the 30s and 70s. This particular location has been around since the late 70s. Overall it was fun to look at all the photos while eating. Customer service- this is my 5 stars. I know fast food usually is iffy but the service here was amazing. We are first time visitors and Judith took the time to explain and answer our questions despite the quick service feel throughout. We ended up having a small mistake with our order but she quickly apologized, and fixed promptly and delivered to our table. She was professional and polite and made sure we had the best experience. This made the difference for us. Thank you, Judith and team for a solid service win. Food- you can't mistake the bright pink hot dogs served and while your sight senses may be fooled, the food is pretty good. It isn't meant to be gourmet but I got a kick out of the color and EVERYTHING tasted delicious. We had the Combo #3 (on Th, F, Sat) which was 3 hot dogs, or 3 hamburgers with a small fry and a regular drink. Your drink is huge and features the famous flaky ice. I can't imagine what the mega is. We ended up with chili cheese slaw and were able to swap our third dog for a burger. There is someone to be said for classic food stand cuisine and this is it. Nothing fancy. Just decent food. This won't help your biometrics so don't go before you have your annual physical. However, for a day trip for a quick bite, cheap treat- this fit our needs perfectly. Stop in and see what makes it famous. Macon definitely has a gem in Nu-Way. Here is to 100 more years.

Best Hotdog in America. Always stop when I drive through Macon. Never disappointed. Unless it's Sunday and they are closed

A landmark in Macon! Today's hamburger, though didn't seem to be cooked well enough. Just an FYI to the management.

Hey, if you're into wieners, they've got 'em. Get a Nu-Way "all the way" with a flakey ice coke. It's a Macon thing!

Best hot dogs anywhere!!! Seriously good and incredible chili too, very similar to skyline chili which you can't get in the south.

I liked it - hotdogs are typical but the chili was really good and the building, history and other features set it apart

I found myself in Macon and sought this place out (though it was not at this particular location) and the rest as they say, is history. I am also a huge fan of hot dogs and the bright red hot dogs at Nu-Way are always an amazing product. Their burgers are pretty impressive, too, and I usually get at least one of their burgers to go with the multiple hot dogs that I get and an order of french fries. There is absolutely nothing fancy about Nu-Way and there should be nothing fancy about this place. Hot dogs, burgers and fries are meant to be eaten casually, they should be a bit messy and there is a good chance that you will get something on your shirt. No big deal, the food is just marking its territory and labeling you as a devotee to their fantastic hot dogs, burgers and french froes. My recommendation is to grab a hot dog (or three) and a burger. Try both with the chili (you can thank me later). This humble chain centered around the Macon, Georgia area has been around about a hundred years and once you try it, you will understand why they have been in business about a hundred years. For a business to be hitting a century mark, they obviously are doing something right. Give them a shot, you will be a devotee, as well.

When I saw the announcement that they were trading in their classic cups for Kraft paper pouches that consumed less paper, I assumed that there would be a difference between a little, a regular, and a large, given the difference in price. I have previously ordered, when they still used cups, a little and a regular and saw the amount of fries. Two weekends ago, I ordered and was charged for a regular and received the amount of fries I have previously received with a little. I was shocked at first but then logged in online to see this was also the experience of others since the transition to the new container. This isn't such a big deal if these are moderately priced fries but this "regular" portion of fries is $7.59. That is similar to a basket of fries at a restaurant and I expect a similar portion, which is what the portion was under the cup system. Five Guys isn't cheap but it always felt like the quality of the food and the portion justified the price. That just isn't the case anymore. I used to go to Five Guys a couple of times a month and grab dinner for me and my friend but we haven't been back since, and likely won't.
