While visiting the area recently for the holidays I made sure to dip in and grab a few dogs. Let's face it, Nu-Way is a local Middle Georgia staple and has been so for over 100 years so I had to swing by and get my fix. This location isn't quite as old as others and doesn't have as much character in terms of the environment. But the food is still spot on and delicious. All went well during my visit and I left very satisfied. Of note though, as of this writing you can't leave a tip on a credit card. So, you might want to bring cash with you. I have been a long been a fan of Nu-Way, I have been coming here for at least fifteen years. Of course, that is just a blip on the over hundred year history that Nu-Way has been on business, but for me, it has been an enjoyable long standing culinary relationship, one that I hope will continue for decades to come. Nu-Way is a great go to for the simple, unpretentious gastronomic wonder of hot dogs, burgers, and fries. Again, nothing fancy, but a feast as viable in terms of favorite foods as any high end dining experience. In fact, a hot dog or a burger has a stronger connection to my growing up in Jersey than any fine dining establishment. I remember my father taking me for hot dogs as a child, stopping for a late night meal with friends as a young adult after a night out, stuff like that. You can travel all around the world and a hamburger is pretty much a hamburger. The same can not be said for hot dogs. They are regional and often have surprising toppings or methods of preparation. There aren't really any surprising toppings offered at Nuway. Chili, cheese, onions, ketchup, mustard, slaw are pretty standard. What makes these so special is the quality of the individual ingredients. Those blazing red weiners. That dark,oily chili. The fine dice of the onion. It all comes together (in whatever combination you prefer) to become something very special and unique to Middle-Georgia. read more

Friendly service but food was just ok if your choices are limited. We tried the hot dog with chili's I think it was chili. The burger...soggy and greasy. The patty melt...dripping with grease. I have been a loyal customer to Nu Ways since I was a kid. Know I'm 52. I went to the Northside location because it's close to my job. I got there today at 12:44 pm for lunch and I noticed that my food was being handed out the widow to another waiting car. However, after the customer gave the bag back to the Manager at the window after going thru it, she walked down to the window where I was sitting in my car waiting and gave the bag of food to me, and when I asked about the bag of food that the customer dug thru , the manager got mad and raised her voice and said here's your order and threw it at me like I was a dog!!! I'm sure the organization doesn't train their employees to act like this. I'm very disappointed in her attitude. I think she got mad because I asked a question, and she got caught doing the wrong thing! I'm sure that she has other problems with customers as well. I hope going forward that she gets more training because the people that works under her needs to see a manager not being upset because of a question that a client has. Best hot dogs ever. I go here every time I'm in town visiting. Love the "All the Way" (chili, cheese, mustard, & onion) dogs and one with their coleslaw on them as well. The fries were fresh and hot and delicious too. I always love their flaky ice which you can't seem to find anywhere but here. I've been eating these since I was a child and I've never found a better hot dog. I was sorry to hear the original in Macon burned down as we always made a special trip there to enjoy both a great hotdog and some nostalgia. Hopefully they can rebuild it and try to get close to the original. Keep on making them the same way and happy 100th anniversary! read more

Nu Way Weiners are considered the best in these parts and for good reason! Slaw Dogs and Chili Dogs are the way to go but don't miss out on the MegaBurger too! This location is the only one I know of with table service. Both the food and the service is great. read more

Poor Nu-Way on Russell Parkway, Warner Robins. Quality is going down and prices are going up (as they are everywhere). I used to go there for breakfast and order a side of ham with eggs. The two ham slices were large and thick. But on November 19, my to-go container was much smaller than usual. So I opened it right away only to find two tiny pathetic flimsy shriveled slices of ham on top of the eggs. The ham was so thin I could practically see through it. If you gave it to a dog, they'd ask "Where's the ham?" I paid almost $6 for the ham and two eggs. The ham looked to be worth about 50 cents, if that much. Maybe Nu-Way is having supply chain problems. If so, they should either say they are currently out of ham or charge much less than $3.00. I won't be wasting my money there again. read more

My long term love of Nu-Way has ended. I can no longer tolerate waiting for an hour to be served food while employees slow-walk service to their customers. They also constantly run out of items on the menu, and serve customers out of turn. Nothing beats your family waiting for your food for an hour, only to have a walk-up place an order and a few minutes later get the same food items you're still waiting on! I hope today was just the folks at Nu-Way on Russell Ave. having a bad day. Chili on the chili dogs tasted...odd...not as in spoiled or anything like that, but like someone different made it and didn't know what spices and other ingredients to add or the right amounts of each. Same story with the slaw on the slaw dogs, except worse. It was nasty, and did not taste at all like their usual very good style. And, to top all that off, the tater tots were mushy instead of crispy. We'll try them again (once the panic stuff is over so we can eat in the restaurant), but if it's like this again, we'll have to find a new place to go for hot dogs. Red rocket, red rocket, red rocket. I couldn't help myself. That's the best way to describe these near beet red dogs. Located only in middle Georgia, Nu Way is an icon, much like T Skulls, Crickets, or the Piggly Wiggly on Houston Rd. (whoops those got shut down). The seating inside is sparse, but they've got drive through. Order more than a single dog as one may not do you. Also make sure you get chili and cheese and whatever else you can fit on the dog. read more

Wow, I pulled in here after going to Robins AFB because there was a decent line at the drive-thru. I understand why now. I had the chili cheese dogs and they have a great flavor and the chili is amazing. I told them when I was ordering I wasn't from here and when they handed me my order they said you will be back... Nice location with plenty of seating. They do table service. Location is good nearby a movie theater, bowling alley, and varioous other shops. You can walk to these places with a little effort. Drive thru can get crowded at times. The food is the same as at other Nu-Way locations. read more
