Well, we were wrong! We started with a bottle of champagne, which was excellent, followed by the oysters. They were incredibly fresh, delicious, and surprisingly large. We also ordered the cheese beignets, which were absolutely delicious, although very rich, so they probably aren't something I would order again. Since we already had two appetizers, I decided to skip ordering another, but next time I definitely want to try the spicy tuna tacos! For dinner, we both ordered the filet mignon, and they were cooked to absolute perfection. We also ordered the Brussels sprouts, which were fantastic -- the perfect balance of salty with just a hint of sweetness. For dessert, we ordered the sticky toffee pudding (I think that's what it was called!), and it was amazing as well. All in all, we had an absolutely wonderful experience. The service was perfect -- attentive without being intrusive and never too scarce or overly attentive. Everything from the food to the service was outstanding. We cannot wait to come back!

It's also in a very walkable area, which made it easy to visit on foot. There is some parking available, although I would say it's somewhat limited. I don't think it would be the best spot for a very large group, but it would be perfect for a few friends getting together. I also appreciated that you can order a drink while waiting for a table or bar seating, which made the wait feel much more enjoyable. Overall, The Bowen House was one of my favorite places I visited while in Dallas.
