I was disappointed with my experience at Nuevo Vallarta. Although the restaurant was not busy, the service felt rushed. Our server brought the bill before we had asked for it, which made us feel like we were being hurried out. The lunch portion was much smaller than expected, and the server never asked whether we preferred corn or flour tortillas, which is a basic detail that should have been offered. The biggest issue, however, was the server's strong body odor. It was very noticeable throughout the meal and unfortunately made it difficult to enjoy the food. While the service itself was otherwise acceptable, the overall experience fell well below expectations because of these issues. Delicious food but weak Margarita. I wanted nachos so I went with the nachos vs my everyday salad and it was yummy. The staff were great and friendly. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The food was good. We ordered Tilapia Suprema (21.99) and combo #1 Taco, 2 enchiladas (15.99) We ordered short draft beer and was surprised when they were $8 each. (Yup, our fault, did not check the menu price). When we asked for extra napkins cause our frosted beer mugs were melting all over, they brought one!! Haha. The menu prices are cash prices, but the check comes with credit card prices. When I asked about it the waiter could not understand our English so he sent another staff member. I am updating my review because this is the second time I've tried to order the quesabirria. The first time they totally gave me somebody else's order so I never got to try them. I ordered them again yesterday and they forgot the consomme which to me makes them special. So I still can't even properly review them. I don't know why they can't get my order right. The meat was flat anyway. It had hardly any seasoning so even with consumme if it didn't have tons of flavor it probably wouldn't have been anything worth talking about anyways. We have not visited this restaurant in a few years, what a disappointment on this trip. Stopped in for lunch, my wife ordered two beef tacos, and I ordered a beef burrito and a beef taco. The food was tasteless. No seasoning of any sort the ground beef was not spiced in anyway, and the burrito was flat, like a soft taco folded over and laid down on the plate. I had lettuce and tomato on top of the burrito and that was it. The only thing that saved this crappy burrito was adding the salsa that came with tortilla chips at the start of our meal. My wife said that her tacos were just like my burrito, same filling, tasteless ground beef. Hers came with lettuce and a soft white tasteless cheese. I hate to say it, but I've had much better food at Taco Bell. The final embarrassment was the fact that the bill With two drinks came to $32. New to the area and figured I'd give this place a try since it had good reviews. Glad I did! Not only are the staff friendly and fast with their service, but the food is amazing. I ordered the Tacos de Carne Asada on flour tortillas with rice and beans. Comes with 3 flavorful steak chopped tacos topped with cilantro and onion which were delicious, and the rice and beans were equally as good. Most places I've tried, the rice and beans are mediocre, but theirs were creamy and cooked perfectly. Finished off with a turtle cheesecake slice which finished the meal to perfection. On June 7, at 730 pm, this place served me a sautéed chimichanga. I ordered fried. although it was soft doughy, and colorless. They insisted it had been fried, and the sauce is what softened it. The ground beef was not overly seasoned and the shell was crispy. I was a little confused as to the difference between the enchilada and the burrito. I cannot eat dairy so I expected my enchilada to be pretty plain and it was it was still good. However the burrito was just ground beef - I expected lettuce, tomatoes, onions or something go else in it. Well everything tasted fine but it was a little boring because everything was essentially just ground beef in some sort of shell. There appears to be some slight difference between the enchilada and burrito sauce but not much. Would I go back? Probably but I would order an entrée and not off the combo section again. read more

Saw so many FB ads about the frozen margarita flights and they did not disappoint. They only had 4 flavors available but make sure you get the lime and strawberry...if you're a lite weight them make sure you split the flight with someone else didn't care for the piña colada or mango flavors...best money I've spent on a flight in a while. read more

The description is chimichanga,rice, beans, and salad. The tortilla was a taco size tortilla which when rolled appeared to be half the size of a standard burrito. Maybe 3-4 inches. The salad was the shredded lettuce chopped tomatoes and sour cream usually what would top a burrito, tostada, etc. I noticed the floor was strangely slippery but, the restaurant was clean and the staff cleared tables immediately. My family and I ate here on a random Tuesday night for dinner and had an amazing experience. The service from Jose was brilliant, he was helpful and efficient and made our meal more enjoyable. Our food was fantastic, I especially recommend that Burrito Perfido , it was excellent. There is plenty of parking and a wide variety of seating options, including outdoors. It would be an ideal place for a quiet date night, or a group meal for a birthday. The restaurant itself is located in the very back of the parking lot, and it was a little confusing at first - just keep driving to the back of the property and you'll see the entrance on your left. Meh, not the best Mexican food I've ever had. Service was sketchy and my tamales had a large piece of plastic wrap in it. Manager handled the situation nicely, asking if I wanted a replacement order or comp'd. I chose comp'd as we had already been there long enough. After boxing up leftovers, we waited another 20 minutes before our server presented the bill. Guess what? Tamales were still on our tab! He had no clue there had been a problem with my food or that the item was comp'd. Finally after another 10 minutes, the bill was corrected and we left with what was, at best mediocre Mexican food. My wife and I decided to visit yesterday and were sadly disappointed. After standing at the host stand for 5 minutes, with no staff in sight, we finally were seated. My wife has a tomato allergy and spent some time with the menu to find a non tomato alternative and ordered as such.. Food arrived promptly, unfortunately my enchiladas had zero flavor and my wife's order was delivered to the table twice incorrectly and cold on the third attempt. ( I took her to Burger King ) Suffice to say that we did not wish to wait for yet another try for the staff to remedy the situation. We have tried repeatedly in the past to discover what others in the Grand Blanc area have enjoyed with this establishment but have made up our minds that we are finished with our attempts and will not revisit. I don't get to the Grand Blanc area often, so each time I come here, I literally find something new. Plus, being in Michigan it's hard to find really good Mexican food. Either they try to hard, or it's just to bland. This place is actually pretty legit and is my style of Mexican outside of the southwest. Walking in, the place is well decorated. No loud mariachi music, no sombraros just good old fashion colorful decor. We were seated and got a huge menu to look through. I couldn't even read it all it was so big. I looked for something familiar to test the waters to see where this place falls in my taste bud range. I went with the beef tacos that came with rice and beans, and my date got the carne asada with the rice and beans as well. Both came out and I loved the portions. I was stuffed by the end of the meal. We both absolutely loved the rice and beans, as they were really super tasty. My tacos were really good, but could have used a little more kick. I did through some hot sauce on them to help it along. We also loved the salsa and chips at the beginning of the meal as well. It really stopped us from starving to death since we were so super hungry. Service was fabulous though not the fastest. Server did check on us and drinks were full when needed. Overall we loved it here, and it is worth eating at. Place is clean, food is good and the place is so colorful I loved it. read more
