Lady at the front desk never acknowledges me. Just stares at the computer and doesn't look up. The security will say hello before she does... I've been coming here a lot and I've always had a good experience today however I had to return a cartridge that was defective on top of two hybrids carts that were actually sativa but labeled online as hybrid they handled it very well and apologized for the inconvenience and false advertising and the cashier that helped me was super understanding and professional about everything. Too notch layout, very informative budtenders, they also have their own strains. After a lengthy convo of this new location and what they have to offer, I decided on trying their house strains. Sativa since I had things to do. I got the slurricane and premium jack. The slurricane was super soft and sticky (super sticky) and sweet to the taste. Sometimes. 2) They lack website support/updates. 3) Horrible refund policy. this one is major! 4) THEY DO NOT REPORT THE RIGHT/SAME THC PERCENTAGE ON THEIR WEBSITE AND PRODUCT LABEL. It is the most frustrating thing about their service and I'm surprised they haven't been sued. Please check your product before leaving the store, have bought products that state 30% THC on their website just to find out that it is 22% on the product label, and no it is not because the total cannabinoids is 30%, I'm talking THC alone, mainly their flower! Brought it back within the window, they took it in the back, came back out and said it's hitting now so we won't return/exchange. I went during covid and finally have to tell my story. I am middle eastern, so I used my kufiyeh throughout alllll of covid and never had a problem, until I entered Nug. A lady with green hair grabbed my Kufiyeh off my head and said "now put a mask on!" And kicked me out of the store until another employee said "what the h are you doing?" To her. It didn't matter; she ripped it off my head/face and yelled at me. Unacceptable. Just say no. I will always be middle eastern. I have been going to Nug Wellness in San Leandro since it opened in 2019. Over the years, I've experienced great customer service! The prices are decent and I'm able to get relief from medication. Unfortunately, last night (3/13/24) around 8:30/9ish, was awful. Literally the experience that makes you want to go back to the grey/ black market. It seemed like they were working with a Skelton crew. A lot of items were sold out that didn't reflect the website they tell you to go on. There was a line of almost 20 people, and a couple of folks waiting out the door with only ONE bud-tender doing walk-ins and 2 doing pick up orders. Yikes. I was in there like for 30+ mins. I was in A-LOT of pain and just wanted to go in and out. Plus, a lot of working folks have probably just got off of work who have to wait in a long line as well. The wonderful bud tender was doing their absolute best to hang on til the end of the shift, mentioned that Wednesday evenings are typically busy like this. Meaning that there's a noticeable pattern that anyone can pick up and imply that maybe, more staff should have been onsite to share the load of work. All the staff, except the front desk, looked STRESSED, burnt out, and over worked. When you look at how much they're getting paid, it really ain't much. It's very telling with the employees body language, (lack of) communication, and how much they're literally running around for bs pay. With as many locations Nug has, and the revenue they make, they can afford providing better services to customers and better pay to employees. If you can't pay people a livable wage with GREAT benefits, then the company should not exist. I'm so tired of cannabis companies disguising themselves as a holistic health solution, positive vibes and whatever is part of this culture that's positive. To corporate capitalistic, cannabis to reach the bottom like for shareholders. You can tell with the lack of solutions to consistent customer complaints that have set a precedent since they opened. The tall linebacker looking brotha had a weird ass vibe too. He was rude when he approached a customer about taking their hoodie off, I'm honestly not sure if there's any obvious signage to tell patrons what their 'dress code' is. Nug. Please remember that the less you care about customers and more about shareholders, the less we will be buying. Your business practices is the best your competitors can ask for, you're making them business. The key to a successful business is consistent returning customers AND new ones. read more

The Pros: ~Staff has always been friendly, however I can't say that they're all knowledgeable. I've had maybe 2 that know enough about edibles to offer advice and information. ~Price is fair and frequent discounts are nice. ~Close to my house. The Cons: ~Really, I have just one. The preorder, online system has gone downhill. I don't know if it's just the employees not keeping it up to date and correct or the system itself that needs reworked. The last handful of times I've ordered(which I prefer since there's a small discount associated with it) and gone to pick it up, the order is missing items because of availability or they've been replaced with something similar which I wouldn't have a problem with however if an unknowlegable employee is packing the order I end up most times with something I don't want. Asking for advice on a substitute with the exception of two times has resulted in me leaving frustrated and unsatisfied. Sometimes I order specifically for an item only to get to the store and have to leave empty handed. Huge bummer. I shouldn't have to have back up choices in mind(and have those be out of stock too)each time I make an online order. What's the point of online orders when the system is not current and correct? And why not send an email saying something is out of stock, notifying your customers ahead of time?? Since we can't depend on most of the employees to give sound advice, at least give us the option to choose something else before pickup instead of there at the counter, last minute. I usually enjoy coming here because the vibe is friendly for the most part, and the prices are decent with a good selection. However, lately the customer service has been so-so. I usually do online orders, but since we were in the area, my partner and I went in and ordered. We were called to the counter and not even greeted. I didn't get the budtenders name, but she had tooth gems and red in her hair. She was super monotone and gave off an attitude- definitely gave the vibe that she did not want to be there. I'll admit, it was super busy and probably overwhelming for her, but what we found odd was that the person she was helping before us got red carpet treatment and all the smiles. Would've been nice if we got the same, or at least a "hello". There have been only a few other times where walk-in orders weren't the best experience for us, but this was probably the worst. Doesn't mean we won't come here anymore, but we're definitely gonna stick to online orders from now on since the folks back there seem more in a better mood. read more

I am no expert and don't even have much experience with dispensaries. This is my third encounter and I must say, NUG makes me feel the most welcomed thus far. I only go to dispensary when I need edibles for sleep aids and my favorite gummies flavor was out of stock at another dispensary in Oakland last month. I had grabbed another flavor from the same manufacturer but have been disappointed into the effects and taste. Randomly found NUG yesterday when I went searching on weedmaps. I usually feel apprehensive and look like a lost child going into a dispensary as I have really no knowledge and have been buying edibles based on what the budtender recommends for taste/effects/popularity. So I'm glad to be able to avoid that awkwardness and placed the order online. Went for pickup last night and everyone was super warm and friendly (security guards, receptionist, and cashier). Apparently ordering online will always give you 10% off, they also offer 10% off for first time customer (no double stacking discount though). Very good customer service. I like how they don't make you wait outside like it's still the "beer virus" 2020 lockdown. The employees are laid back, and don't make you feel like you're going through a prison search before you enter the building. I love how I can just show them my I.D, pick out what I want, and get on with my day. That's what I want. I've been to several dispensaries where they tell me they only take cash and you have to wait outside due to certain laws. But for some odd reason Nug is always happy to take my Cards and Apple Pay. This makes life a lot easier and motivates me to come back more. I always enjoy their bulk flower and THC tablets. Highly recommend. read more

First time there - ID had expired so I could only sadly look in and wait for better days. Second time there - went with fam member and I was pleasantly surprised of how much they have. Were there for specific items so didn't get to look to much or too long. Third time there - went in & asked questions. The Mr & I were greeted by Kolbe who was amazing. We got to ask him questions about the different edibles. Discussed vegan/non vegan options. Talked about how quickly some products help. What helps for what. We must have spent about 20 mins there and got to really look around this time. There is SO much I missed and didn't see the first time around. The staff on all occasions were so nice and friendly and definitely gave off the vibe that they love their job. This place is super clean, lots of parking and lots to choose from. If you order using your points and choose a certain product they can and will change it with out your knowledge or choice. I wouldn't have know if I didn't open the bag in store to make sure my product was correct. Bad customer service from the lady helping ( waiting for her name to come through on text, will update) .
