There is no better grocery store than here. I love the fact they always have their shelves stocked. Its clean, the staff is awesome! I only shop here. I buy a variety of meats, veggies and fruits. All are great. Their avocado game is on point and I'm loving it. Shout out to PIC who helped someone who lost their wallet. She was great and made sure it stayed in good hands until they returned. I visited Nugget Markets in Novato 2018-2019 and shopped there regularly. I loved their prepared food selection. Good variety in their hot foods, good tasking sushi, their vegetable salad bar had a 2nd section for grains, and their bakery had delicious cheesecakes and other baked goods. This place was one of few that had raw milk, purple potatoes, 10+ dark chocolate brands, and other hard to find items. Plenty of parking. Carts are readily available. Cashiers are friendly. read more

This is very tardy, as the outstanding service I received from the Novato Store Director Ms. Chaunte Chastang last holiday season warranted BIG UPS, and still does!!! I had to get hold of LOTS of pies for a client event to fill in for late RSVP's (pie orders have to be in weeks in advance, FYI.) I was told by the pie company with whom I'd placed my main order that the Novato store would have the pies I needed there that day. Well, I waltzed into their bakery area, only to find that was not the case. After inquiring with the Bakery Manager, she consulted with Ms. Chastang, and the two of them split off and set about calling the other stores to locate those pies for me. Well, I was blown away, especially since this was Tuesday the week of THANKSGIVING, the busiest week for grocers, and here are TWO team members going above and beyond for one patron. They located every. Last. Pie. Extraordinary already, right?!? Oh, but it doesn't stop there. I thought to myself, okey doke, glad they've got'em for me. I'm in the car to Tiburon and Corte Madera stores to collect my pies. NOPE! Ms. Chastang then asked me if I could wait about 25-30 minutes so the pies could be DELIVERED TO THE NOVATO STORE. Whaaaaaat?!? Okay. So the secret is out. Ms. Chaunte Chastang, her team, and Nugget Markets are tops! Thanks to them, I still have hope for real, RETAIL grocery stores. Please patronize them whenever you can, and enjoy the difference! P.S. I've used their catering services on several occasions as well, and regularly buy their prepared food when on the run. Let me first say that nugget makes the best sandwiches but I had a terrible experience yesterday. I purchased a carnitas torta and it was FILLED with whole slices of lime (peel and all). When every bite is followed up with bitter pieces of lime peel and pith that you have to spit out, it really ruins the meal. I've ordered this sandwich maybe 25 times and it's never been like this. Not only does Nugget Market provide high quality products, but they have some of the most high quality service I've ever experienced (especially at a grocery store)! Shopping last week, a kind employee was in the middle of sweeping when I asked her to help me reach something on a top shelf. Instead of just grabbing the item and then going back to sweeping, she stayed and continued to help me locate items on my shopping list, lift two massive jugs of water into my cart, and then helped me out to my car after helping to bag at checkout. A lady at the nail salon told me about Nugget market in Novato. What a gem of a find! Customer service is above others. Everything is clean and organized. Love the butcher area, hormone and antibiotic free meats. You can order the amount you want. I asked the man helping me to cut off the fat from my brisket and he did! Saved me a ton of work and time at home. Plus I'm sure he has sharper knives. I just loved that customer service. Some meats are pastured but not all. I hope they get pastured chickens in future. They have prepared hot and cold food, salad bar, and deli counter. Bakery as well. They have good organic produce selection. And weekly specials you can read in a newspaper they have at the check outs. Parking is great. There are tables inside and out to stay and eat if you want. All staff are friendly and helpful. I come regularly for lunch... At least twice a week. The firecracker sandwich is amazing! I usually get a soup, salad, or something from the hot bar for lunch. The salad bar is usually 2-4 stars. It varies. The grain bar sucks. It's always the same stuff that no one wants. I bet a ton of this goes to waste. Zero stars. Hot bar is usually 2-4 stars. The lasagna is good. If there is ever salmon or another fish it's usually pretty good, although quite overcooked. The veggie curries are usually above average, and the potato wedges are great! read more

If you didn't already know, Nugget Markets has one of the best (and in my opinion underrated) ice cream bars in Novato. This review is strictly for their ice cream, as I have not shopped at Nugget for anything else. The ice cream comes from Lappert's, a local Sausalito ice cream company, and rotates through a small variety of delicious flavors. Among all these great choices, I almost always go for the Kona Mocha Chip. If you like coffee and chocolate, this is the flavor to pick. The ice cream is rich, creamy and the flavors coat your tongue after the ice cream has melted. It pulls apart rather than coming off in bite-sized chunks which suggests an amazing consistency. The chocolate chips are also evenly distributed throughout the ice cream so you get a good burst of chocolate with every bite. The crunchy texture of the chocolate chips goes well with the creamy consistency of the ice cream. The best part is that a single scoop will only set you back $0.99 (you have the option of a cone or cup). So, fantastic ice cream for a low low price? What's there not to like? read more

I really like this nugget market since its close to where i work. Yesterday i went in for a TBA sandwich. One thing i noticed was that the associate making my sandwich made it real fast and sloppy. My family LOVES Nugget! The staff is always friendly. Their meat/cheese section is huge! Yummy deli plus bakery.

I am obsessed with the extra mile Nugget Market goes to offer yummy, one of a kind treats to my family. Their salad bar is divine. Every quinoa, pasta, salad bar option you could ask for. And their dressings are amazing. I often go and get a little spoonful of six or seven different salads, and voila we have a great, healthy dinner. Their soups and pre-prepared meals are also out if this world. The clam chowder is better then any restaurant. We love the dips, chicken and vegetables. In their deli section they have a divine egg salad, bean salad and corn salad. And don't even get me started on their baked goods. The corn bread is scrumptious. Over the summer, they have an outside grill on Thursday and Friday from 4-7 where you can get ribs, baked potatoes, corn and artichokes. Shout out to Matt for being an amazing griller! He is always so friendly and helpful! We would take advantage of the outdoor grill options every week. I've have had hit or miss at the coffee bar, but did have a yummy cinnamon maple latte last night. And the ice cream at under a dollar a scoop is a steal! The rainbow sherbet is the best I've ever had. The reason I've given them four stars instead of five is due to the inconsistency of their customer service. As a neighborhood shopper who visits this market four or five times a week, I'm bummed that not everyone is super nice. Some staff are amazing and go out of their way to accommodate you while others make you feel uncomfortable for asking a question. I really wish that they all get on the same page of kindness. I went into the meat department to purchase a bone-in rib-eye. I was greeted by Aaron, who was truly the defenition of service with a smile. Since the transition from Paradise Foods to Nugget Market, this has become THE best grocery store in the county. The store is spotless, everything smells clean and fresh, the staff is appreciative, friendly and knowledgable and the selection is excellent! To top it all off, their prices are great!! I went here for the first time last week and I must say, it's expensive! I am not coming back. I thought the pre-packaged foods in their deli area were gonna be good. Nope! Meatloaf dinner was good, minus the horrendous meatloaf. The mashed potatoes and green beans on the side were the only good parts of the pre packaged meal. I also tried a slice of their pumpkin cheesecake from the deli and a breakfast burrito. Breakfast burrito was ok. It was 4.99. This is a great market a short drive from my home in Pacheco Valle. They have a pretty good selection of organic vegetables and fruits, which is, unfortunately, mixed with conventional produce. They are pretty good, however, at keeping them separated, which I appreciate. They have a good selection of grass-fed, grass-finished meats and other products I buy regularly. This is my go-to market if I don't have time to drive to Good Earth (100% organic produce) or if I forgot something important I need for a recipe I'm making. They are always friendly and they have a great bakery and deli. The store is spotless clean, well stocked, nicely presented and has great variety. While I've enjoyed Nuggets markets in the past for their large selection of groceries and meats I've always found their produce prices extremely high. That being said I went there today to buy a large order since I'm hosting a lunch gathering for 14. The one item that I needed assistance with was to have the butcher cut grass-fed sirloin steaks into approximately 8oz pieces. The young butcher acted like it was an impossibility. Fortunately I was smart enough to have started at the meat department so I had no time investment in shopping at Nuggets and left. I proceeded to Whole Foods where I bought everything for my party and the butcher got me the steaks I needed. read more

We need more markets like Nugget Markets. First, let me start off by saying that they have huge selections of Organic foods and Wines here. Their selections were far more attractive than other markets I've been too. I love their Organic foods such as Tomatoes, Broccolis, Lettuces and Corn. Every time I go there, I get treated like a family member and not just a regular customer. So what made me write this review? I like their corn. Not just like, I LOVE their corn.
