The Corte Madera Farmers Market is much smaller and more intimate than the Sunday Farmers Market at the Marin Civic Center. This isn't by any means a bad thing. Bigger isn't always better (or so I've been telling girlfriends for years). Here's the way I look at it - instead of a full kitchen, you're getting a kitchenette. Instead of a full length feature, you're getting a really good short film. It's like the Mini Me of Farmer's Markets. And you know what - that's a-ok by me. Smaller crowds. Prettier environment. Plus, when I'm done shopping, I can poke my head into others stores at the Town Center (Safeway, CVS, Crate and Barrel, etc.). You'll find many of your go-to produce and meat/poultry vendors here. Plus, they have my favorite Indian/Nepalese food vendor here (gotta get me some momos, samosas and dipping sauce). And unlike many of its counterparts, this Farmers Market is open from noon to 5pm (which is much better for my schedule). It's definitely worth checking out. Happy shopping, my peeps! : )

To tide us over we picked up some hummus and salsa with hand ground absolutely amazing tortilla chips. The market boasts several tables outside and they were quite comfortable while we worked through our snacks. All in all they were great in a pinch and their food ended up being better than our meal at Corner Bar.

Mill Valley Market has been operating since 1929 and they are still family run . This is their 4th generation! We came to get their sandwiches and boy did they deliver. Ordered 2 vegetarian, chicken chipotle, Thanksgiving turkey and got jerk chicken from the hot foods buffet! They are way better than Whole Foods fyi! Great quality and freshest taste ! Delicious food and great service ! Love supporting our local gems and they nourished us with love! They also have a fish and meat market ! The chairs had blankets over them just in case it gets chilly at night. It was very thoughtful. I decided to order their special 3 course meal including a white wine ($45!). It was like they had their own restaurant week specials like SF but I don't believe that exists in Marin. The 3 course meal included a beet salad, pasta (it was the screw shaped kind) with Bolognese and a tiramisu which was my fav of all 3. The white wine was a bit on the sweet side. My husband had the pappardelle pasta with oxtail. That was a treat! I liked his dish more than mine but all of it was so much we had to take half home! The sugar-free option were just what I needed. It was busy but the staff took time with each customer to provide great service. Be patient, it's worth it. Tripp wrapped the packages for birthday presents and checked me out. This was outstanding, awesome, and special. The wrapped candy was done with care and love. I was first introduced to Palmetto at a Yelp event and, since then, have become a repeat customer at numerous locations. Their Corte Madera location is lovely! The shop itself is on the smaller side, with one bench to sit at inside, but that's all good since it's more of a takeout business. It's bright inside, and the atmosphere is welcoming. You order at the counter, watch them make your creation, and pick it up when it's done! They also offer mobile ordering. Service is always fantastic from everyone I've encountered! Since I work in Marin and got my coworker hooked, we sometimes stop by for açaí before or after work. There are so many options for either signature or build-your-own bowls! I've been trying each signature bowl. This go around, I tried their Bom Dia A.M Breakfast Bowl in a size small. This was so delicious! I loved the fresh fruit, the texture of all the toppings, how rich and creamy it was, and the sweet yet refreshing taste. The smalls are always so filling for me, so I struggle to finish. Definitely keep that in mind! If I go any larger, I'm usually sharing with someone! I'd definitely order this again, but I have also loved everything I've tried.
