The ambiance is laid back and there is some outdoor seating too. It's not my favorite sandwich shop, but I prefer it over the other sourdough sandwich shop chain in Marin. Sandwiches are bland. Got a small tuna on wheat. They took one slice of wheat bread, put a scoop of tuna on it and loaded it with mustard - who puts mustard on tuna salad sandwiches? That's all you taste - mustard. And they charged $9.99 for half of a sandwich (the 4") !!! I had the turkey cranberry - it was dry and tasteless - and they put quite a bit of mustard on it too. I honestly feel sandwiches would be better if made by sandwich eaters - I do not get the feeling the gals working here regularly eat sandwiches. They were nice tho. Just because I am ordering a shorter sandwich doesn't mean I want it to be less stacked. Everyone welcomed me on entering. All the pics looked like delicious packed sandwiches-and this time I thought I will eat here and try the French dip. 4 inch had 2 slices of roast beef and some cheese. Very minimal. They have a lot of product back there but to skimp on your new customers did not set a good tone. The bread and sauce were delicious but if you really need to cut corners this 4" French dip should have at least 3 slices of beef. It made me laugh is the upside. Setting is okay. Something loud and whirring- I think the oven to bake bread. (Reheating one loaf at a time) Not that busy. Also drink choices were hard as it's the Pepsi line up and tea choices. (Dr. Pepper it is) The chips were also tough to pick from. Maybe I'm a bit spoilt for where we live. Wish there were better chips to choose- even just plain sun chips would be better. Maybe the WF or MV Market Sandwich would be better- always more hearty. I think if they were a bit more generous with filling their sandwiches I think they could establish more regulars- whoever owns this chain has not done their homework on their competition. read more

A young woman behind the counter (I think her initials might be M.B.?) noticed that I had ordered a small 4" sandwich but was accidentally charged for a large 8" sandwich. I noticed that it seemed quite expensive for a small sandwich, but said nothing and did not look at the details of my receipt on the screen. She later noticed the discrepancy by herself, approached me and apologized. She immediately offered to make a second 4" sandwich to make things right. Of course I gratefully accepted and thanked her so much for noticing the mistake and immediately figuring out a solution. Your staff is EXCELLENT! Been here several times, their sandwiches are pretty good and I usually get a cup of clam chowder to go with it. They have a few tables to sit, place is a little dark. I do takeout, when you walk in they greet you and take your order or you can use their app to place your order. They are pretty fast depending on how busy it gets. They have a good variety and you can do mods on your sandwich. The sourdough I feel makes their sandwich, that's why I like this place. read more

The drinks you order for delivery are actually being prepared by the delivery drivers themselves. A female employee started yelling really loudly in front of everyone at a delivery driver because he couldn't figure out which drink it was. That makes sense because that's not his job. I'm not sure if it's even allowed under local health codes for delivery drivers to be making customers' drinks like that. But personally, I would never want someone who's constantly driving, touching gas pumps, motor oil, and all that stuff to prepare my drink without any hygiene precautions. And yelling at and humiliating a worker like that in public is just extremely rude and disrespectful. Also, their sandwiches aren't even good. read more

Freshly baked sourdough bread, fresh ingredients and perfectly fixed. So important for bread to filling ratio is on point for any good sandwich. I tried the turkey pesto sandwich. The toppings are not all listed which they should definitely should fix, but the ones I have discovered are: pickles, lettuce, tomato, artichoke hearts, carrots, cucumber, onion, pepperchini, cheddar, fresh mozzarella, olives. They don't have honey mustard which is a bummer. The sourdough bread is baked fresh every day. It us the perfect texture of crispy exterior and fluffy interior. Definitely will be back! read more
