At no point were we informed about a 21+ bracelet requirement upon entry, and I was not given one by staff responsible for distributing them. Later in the evening, my friends and I briefly entered the restroom together due to a line and were not aware that only one person was permitted at a time. Instead of calmly addressing the situation, the manager attempted to force open the bathroom door while my friend was using it. The situation escalated when we tried to close the door for privacy, but we complied once instructed to come out after my friend finished. Afterwards, when I asked why the manager had an attitude since our arrival, she grabbed at my bracelet and repeatedly entered my personal space while speaking to me aggressively. While I was speaking with another employee, Monica approached me from behind and made physical contact by intentionally bumping into me with her shoulder. An older male staff member also pushed a minor in our group while attempting to remove us from the venue, rather than calmly letting us know to leave. Additionally, another employee pushed my phone while I was trying to take a picture of the manager. The staff continued to laugh and joke about the situation. We did not deserve this treatment. At no point was it clearly communicated that we were required to leave. Staff began physically intervening after being directed by the manager to remove us. We were escorted out before the performance began, and no refund was provided. While I understand that they have rules and expectations for guests, I believe situations should be handled professionally and respectfully with clear communication and without physical contact to avoid escalations. Prior to this event happening me and my friends came in with positive fun energy and we were just trying to enjoy our night out. I have documented the incident with video, photos, and witness accounts and will be reviewing appropriate next steps. I did not have the opportunity to try the food, but based on this experience alone, I would not return or recommend this establishment.

I didn't care for the spicy mayo one, but I wish we had more gochujang sauce as there wasn't enough to mix into the dish. Over all it was tasty, and given it was a food cart it didn't have the crunch rice that I love which usually happens with the metal bowls and letting it sit. Overall a good dish and great option at the food cart. The menu has a lot of options in case you wanted to try different things.

They have outdoor seating in a sidewalk patio area with lights and picnic table style seating which is relaxed and comfortable. You walk in and order from the counter, and the young woman who assisted me was great. She turns out to be the daughter of the owners so it's a Korean mom and Pop place where mom and daughter are front of house and the father is Chef in the kitchen. So the food is cooked by a Korean AJJusshi! I asked for best recommendations and I was told that the kimchi fried rice was good as was the spicy chicken and the spicy pork. And then I asked because I saw a takeout order in the back, and was told that was the jjampong that her mom was taking home for dinner. I saw the traditional Korean comfort food jjajiangmyun on the menu so I decided I would order that no matter what. Because she told me that her father makes the sauce. And that's very important to know. I ordered the kimchi fried rice and an order of the dumplings which I could've had boiled or fried. I wanted to see how good the fried dumplings were and have to tell you that crisp on them was outstanding. Just outstanding. And the dipping soy sauce with vinegar and chopped green onions was perfection. I love that the food came out in the wide metal bowls -- which is quite common for a kind of Korean restaurants that I love eating at. The kimchi is made in house and that's when I decided I needed to try with the Mom was trying to. The jumping broth was thick and flavorful with so many of the best ingredients for spicy seafood soup: that a couple of large mussels and shrimp and the zucchini was cut thickly which I always appreciate, they had oyster mushrooms as well as tender pork chunks and bok choy and the right kind of noodles. Some restaurants try to use udon noodles as a shortcut but that's not the right noodles for jjampong and jjajiangmyun. The portions were really generous so I decided to have the jjajiangmyun packed up to go instead. The prices have to be mentioned because they were very reasonable relative to other Korean restaurants. Next time I will try the seafood pajun because the owner and I discussed how they made it and I'm excited because their approach is similar to my mom's: too thick, keep it crispy, and lots of seafood. They also had a beer on tap, which was served cold and was refreshing on a warm evening, and that I saw they had a cooler full of Korean Soju (the brand Jinro which is has a BTS member as it's Brand ambassador) and some good makkoli! I enjoyed the leisure of reading a book on the patio while eating. One of my favorite ways to do dinner. But the food is so good I am looking forward to coming back with friends.

The bulgogi was good, the bibimbap was really good and the kimchi rice was the star of the show, really amazing flavor on that one. My wife and kids were raving about the pork belly slices on top of the kimchi rice, which I unfortunately didn't get to try (my son ate mine). Also, the banchan was fresh and flavorful. The service was very attentive and fast. We didn't wait too long for our food. The area that Kimchee & Rice is very nice and new, and the restaurant itself is very nice looking as well. A good amount of seating, and it started filling up around lunchtime, when we were there. Kimchee & Rice is definitely worth checking out (and putting on your list of Korean restaurants if you live in the Portland area).
