I have been there 2 times in the last month. Both times where very good a big improvement from last year... I hope they continue doing a great job and not go back to there old ways... The previous reviews are way too kind. Maybe I'm just a snob, or more travelled, or more experienced with dining out options than others, but this place is 3 stars, at best. Service was friendly, lunch price was $6.99. There were 4 buffet lines, but only 2 were Chinese food - the other two lines definitely catered to those who won't stray from their standard microwaveable American fare. I had two large plates, all Chinese items. Food was edible, but boringly bland and very meh (perhaps like the taste buds of the regulars?) I wouldn't say anything I had was gross, but I wouldn't go back again unless I had no choice. And the interior, although large, is very steamy - the floors are wet so you have to walk with caution. read more

Its obvious to me that the owner must not care anymore. The windows are disgusting. The food is old, rubbery, and cold. There was nothing on the meat carving station for Sunday dinner. Not to mention, this place is over priced now for what they offer. So so sad. Dont waste your time, go to any fast food restaurant in town. Anywhere but here. Wide selection of items that were always being tended to from our resent dinner tonight... The restaurant was: - clean - attentive service - fresh items on the buffet - reasonable priced - wide variety of items -- Chinese... seriously, to many to list. -- American... we saw pizza, tacos, and mozzarella cheese sticks... hmmm something for everyone... -- deserts - plenty if you really needed it, and they were good. I would have given this restaurant visit 5 stars if the General Tso's Chicken had broccoli, and more of a kick; rather it was like a sweet and sour chicken. read more

We ate here a few years ago and it was good. We came back and it was nasty. The food was barely warm and must of been sitting out for awhile.....6:00 on a Saturday evening and it was not busy. We should of ran the other way!!!!!!Folks don`t waste you`r money . I love a good buffet but left this place hungry. I honestly cannot say anything was good....not even the dessert. We wasted $40.00 for 3 adults and we wish we would of went to Taco bell because the quality is better . The food is just okay but an endless amount of just okay is pretty good. Decent variety and staff is quick to refill.

AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL, and wayyyy overpriced. We ordered the buffet for 3--(2) adults, (1) 12-yo child. The check was over $40 for the most dirty, disgusting place. The windows were covered in some grime making them impossible to see out of, carpet nasty, tables were covered in a greasy film, and the food was COLD! I seriously don't think the buffet table was turned on or even working--and that's a serious health regulation violation. The only time there was hot food was when they put it out there right from the kitchen, and even then it was mediochre tasting at best. Tasted like the fried foods were cooked in very dirty, overused oil, and everything else was just a mush of soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, or chili sauce and drenched in MSG. When I complained about the food being COLD, there was no offer for a concession on the bill. They were very happy to take our money for a very unsatisfactory meal. We begrudingly paid the $45 dollar bill for the worst meal ever and will never be back. I seriously wonder if those who gave this place such glowing reviews actually are talking about the same place? Very friendly, good selection of food on the buffet and the Chinese food was very good - I didn't try any of the others (pizza, tacos, etc.). Sushi wasn't very good, too warm and just didn't taste good. Plenty of dessert choices including soft serve ice cream, can't go wrong with that! It did seem a bit pricey and some of the bar patrons were loud as noted by others but overall it was a good dinner and I would go back. read more

This is the absolute worst Chinese buffet ....it has progressively gotten worse over the years...but yet the price goes up! The crab legs are always soggy,tasteless,the butter is watered down, the actual Chinese food..if you call it that, is a joke and a disgrace to all Asain food. The staff act like emotionless zombies,the bathrooms are akin to a bus depot bathroom..nasty. $42,for 2 adults and a 12 year old.....Horrible! I eat there often they have good food and an okay price for the food that they offer the only problem is that that the carpets and windows look really dirty and unclean but other than that i would rate 5 out of 5 read more

The china buffet is amazing. Im not crazy about sea food but its great. I had a great time with my friends. The interior is really good too.

Although the owner Billy is a great asset to our community, he introduced a new menu enhanced with Thai, Vietnamese, and Japanese selections. Instead of doing the buffet (which is always edible) we tried the Pho (Vietnamese Soup) and it was horrible (they were out of basil that day which is a key ingredient). But, even with basil, it smelled and tasted like beef and noodles simmered in tap water. The spicy tuna rolls were not spicy (no sauce) and contained avocado. They were bland and disappointing. We also ordered spicy/crazy noodles (a Thai dish). Although it tasted fine, it lacked basil which is a key ingredient. Also, the dish normally contains both shrimp and chicken but you had to choose between them. It didn't taste at all like it normally would. I think he should make sure a dish is prepared properly before introducing it to the menu. Less (but better) selections is better than more (but poor renditions). I hope they see this review and think about perfecting the dishes before teasing us foodies with the exciting new menu. I'm afraid to go back there to try anything else. The service, as usual, was good when we went. If the food was half as good, I'd give it a better review. read more

This place is disgusting. The floors are black because they are filthy and the waitresses have been caught pouring used drinks into other drinks. It has been in the paper for the health department and had almost a page long of things wrong. They have supposedly "remodeled," but I haven't been in long time because I can't stand it. read more

Food is mediocre, edible. One evening we decided to eat there. We ordered a pepsi and diet pepsi. They were undrinkable. Told the waitress and she brought us another round....which were the same, terrible. Billy came over and explained the water treatment plant put chlorine in the city's water that day. Later, I asked other restaurants and they said they did not have a problem. Ok whatever. But Billy charged us for four drinks and would not considering removing them from our bill even though we couldn't drink them. read more

It has seriously gone down hill despite increasing their prices. Service is poor and food often cold with raw bananas in inedible banana's foster. Tried telling "chef" billy who could care less...awful now and not worth a trip or half the price. read more

Great food and great service! Good atmosphere, very clean but the windows are cloudy and look dirty even though they aren't. They really should be replaced. The prices are okay, the buffet is a bit over priced but the take out is very reasonable. The dine-in portions seem smaller than the take-out. It is by far the best restaurant in Wilmington. read more

I enjoy eating there on a regular basis. It is run by very nice and caring people who really want you to have a good experience. I have traveled a lot and eaten at many different Chinese restaurants - on a global scale I would rate their food as good - but it is definitely the best food and dining experience anywhere near here. read more

my wife and i went to this establishment several years ago and was not saticfied with the service/food at that time. we thought that since it had been a number of years (six) that things should be different-to our surprise they were still the same. lo mein noodles were water-logged and it had ice berg lettuce which really threw the taste out; the soy sauce was dilluted with water-didn't even smell like soy sauce; the general tso chicken was actually stuck in the pan; the pudding is warm even though it is kept on a salad bar; the only food items that my wife and i could actually eat and enjoy were the pepper shrimp-and those are tiny by my standard of shrimp. the commercial grade pizza was even messed up-i mean how can you mess up heat/serve pizza?? the last time we went here six years ago the manager made some remarks about a woman's place is at home and not in public without her husband-that really topped the cake for my wife. this review is not based on bad experiences of differed society/cultural thought rather in the bad service and food that was provided. what really bothered me is that after the server brought my c/c and receipt back she kept on swarming the table and then stopped and told me to sign the receipt. the only smile or welcoming feeling i got was when we got up to leave and all five of the servers "flew" over to the table to clean it off. if i were you, please avoid this place-you will enjoy yourself much better across the street at el dorados or if you really want the oriental cuisine then try "great taste" over in southridge off of us 68. i hope this helps with your dinner choice in the wilmington city. read more
