I've always eyed the dried fruit at the Nuts Factory in FH but never bought any. I have to say, they were really good and I have to go back for more! One staff member was inside the store, tending to all the bins. She was the sweetest and was just as excited about the chocolate Pringle's as I was. Heard about the crazy Dubai chocolate craze.. was passing by and I noticed the sign outside so I decided to check it out. Huge selection of nuts, chocolate and candy. The lady asked us if we needed help .. but we just wanted to look around before selecting. There was so many things we wanted to buy but we were actually on our way to lunch so we only bought two items... The chocolate is a lil pricey .. L got some Dubai chocolate mixed with dates and one with nuts.. We ate some later on when we got home... it tasted pretty good. I'm not a huge fan of chocolate but it I liked the three layers so it wasn't entirely chocolate...I did like the crispy part.. A nuts factory shop has been opened in Astoria a few years ago and it's my turn to visit and grab a few bags of cashews and other goodies minus the salt if possible. They carry a extensive variety of nuts , dry fruits , candies , chocolate , etc , and the hyped and overrated Dubai chocolate can be found here if you desire .From front to back of store is well organized with so many different types of goodies and they also have prepacked plastic containers as well and some of the packaging is so fancy that it's really a shame to open them . Prices are high and I am being honest as a few pounds of assorted nuts and a few small containers of chocolate set me back 60 bucks . Overall the stuff is quality and that's what you are paying for but for the occasional enjoyment or want to get someone a nice edible gift , nuts factory is a good pick . There is not price on any of the containers . This can be a good idea to consider as the store is very clean and smells like the nuts and taste delicious. The lady's can be better anfitrions if they give away free clean samples and print prices with weight on each container so the client doesn't need to waist time asking for prices and discounts or offers. read more

This place has such a big variety of sweets you will spent 10 minutes just looking around before you can even figure out what you want! Most stuff is per pound and some was per 1/2 pound so pay attention because the price will change depending what weight they charge you for. Overall this place is a heaven for sweet lovers! I got the Dubai chocolate which was almost $20 for a bar but I have to say it was very good and I would get it again! Everything is self serve so you can pick and choose what you want and how much you want which is great. You can even get a 1 or 2 pieces of something just to try it out instead of buying a whole package like other places. read more

Came here specifically for the Dubai Chocolate craze and this spot was in our direction. Lots of selection of nuts and fun flavors. The pistachios and cashews were sizeably larger than most I've seen in grocery stores. The staff person was a bit ditzy, on her phone, but sweet when engaged. The strawberry cup filled with Dubai chocolate was delicious, not sure if I would pay $18 for it again, but wanted to try. The Dubai chocolate bar was $19, very yummy, but also not sure in the future I'd pay that much for it. Super fun textures with the knafeh, pistachio crème and chocolate crème. read more

I visited Nuts Factory in Astoria last Thursday and it was great. It was my first time there, the staff were very friendly and helped me with some recommendations. You can try some of their products before you buy it to make sure you like it, that's a big plus. (Try the Nutella Cashews!!) I got the Dubai Chocolate, I wanted to try it and see why it's so viral. I didn't really like it that much, but it's not bad, just too sweet for me. The texture tho is very crunchy and I liked that. This was first time trying Dubai chocolate so it was OK. The strawberries were not too sweet or fresh though. I thought Chocolate House in Astoria tasted better. The nuts factory is perfect for a sweets and nuts lover. I went with a friend mainly just to try the viral Dubai chocolate (with pistachio filling), so I can't really review the rest of the store so this review is mainly for the chocolate. The chocolate was pretty tasty and it was a unique chocolate tasting experience but I would say at $20 a bar after tax that the price is pretty steep. I feel like they should sell smaller sizes of the bar at cheaper prices and maybe l would purchase again, but at $20 for the bar I would most likely not purchase again. I felt like a kid in a candy store at the new Nuts Factory. 34-16 30 Ave, last Saturday. What I thought would be a plain vanilla-type nut "affair" turned out to be more like an experience in Candy Land, so there was only so much one could buy without breaking the bank. I made my way over to the new Nuts Factory not quite sure what to expect. How many varieties of nuts can one store have? Apparently way more than I could have imagined! They had nuts covered in dusting of other nuts, candied, nuts, and candy by itself! If you took your bodega nuts section and married it to a candy store, this is what you would get. It's a cute shop that's quite organized and feels very clean. With the help of an employee, I was able to try a couple of their offerings including tiramisu almonds, pistachio covered hazelnuts, and baklava hazelnuts. They also had other nut varieties like macadamia nuts, pecans, and so much more. As you walk towards the back on the left you start hitting the chocolate section as well as a section that looked like loose leaf teas. On the right side near the cashier, you also have a large variety of dried fruits and walking back up the right side of the store you get to the candy. There was far more in this store than I expected and I can confidently say it would be dangerous for me to walk in there again because I would walk out with so many bags of all of the things. I live in the area and always walk past this place. Place is usually dead and usually feel bad for the place. Today, I decided to stop by looking to support the business. There was no one in front watching the store so i walked in towards the back of the store looking for someone who works there. Finally, someone working there came out of the back room with a noticeably perturbed look on her face. I smiled at her and was about to ask her a question when she proceeded to scold me. "You not supposed to come in here with [a] umbrella!" she said. I was a bit taken a back because I literally walked into two businesses prior to this and no one complained about my umbrella. I asked "where was i supposed to put my umbrella?" I asked, thinking that i must have missed a sign or a bin somewhere that i should have put my umbrella. "You should have put it in the corner somewhere. You cant walk in here with [a] umbrella" she replied. I walked right out. If you don't want people to come into your business close the door. If you want to inform people not to bring in an umbrella, you should have a sign or a bin by the door where people can put their umbrella. Or you could have mentioned it nicely to which I would have promptly apologized and would have left you a tip for the inconvenience. Scolding someone for not reading your mind on the other hand = BAD SERVICE. read more

I walked in today not knowing what to expect. There are so many different kinds of roasted nuts in here but not just nuts, but many sweets, peanut butter, desserts, tea infusions, spices, and different kinds of even rice mixes (I think you mix them in with rice when cooking?) that I hope to try in the future! I bought a vanilla sugar free halva which was good and not too sweet, which we liked, and the coconut sugar free candy which only had two ingredients- coconut and maltitol- and was also delicious. All the ingredients are listed for everything they offer, which is good to avoid allergies. I bought the lemon mint dried fruit infusion and that was very tasty and refreshing: after following the instructions with boiling water, I followed what the store keeper said and put it in the fridge; I'm excited to have it tomorrow cold. The store keeper was also making roasted nuts while I was in the shop, and so it's clear that at least some of the goods in the shop are made in house. They offer samples, which is really cool since I don't know many of these desserts, and I did get to try one in a little cup. I'm looking forward to trying more samples and patronizing the store again! read more
