I have had some good cakes and pastry at this bakery. Ekmek, cheesecake, and tiramisu are all good. A little pricey, but I guess that's the norm but eight dollars a piece for a piece of cake. I decided to get one after a long time since last visiting so I got a tiramisu today. I probably would not visit so regularly but they have a huge selection. It's a good location right on 30th Ave. close to the subway and all the major shops along the Ave so it's an easy stop to pick up some treats. Overall a good selection of bakery goods. Service is fine, ambience is OK. Usually I notice a lot of older gentleman sitting in there, but maybe that's their hangout spot.

I ordered a 4inch cake for a bday. today is 5/9. Not only was this cake completely destroyed it also look nothing like the photo. It was made 4/29. They sent a 10 day old cake that looks like it was handled using their bare hands and 0 care. In what world is that acceptable. Spend the extra money. Go somewhere else

After unexpected 24 hrs in plane and car, their Strawberry Cheese still tasted amazing!

I love New York Bakery Cafe's Strawberry Cheesecake! Read why... My love affair with New York Bakery Cafe began 10 years ago when my friend from Astoria introduced me to it on my way out of town. (He was taking my car while I was away and driving me to the airport.) Picked up their Strawberry Cheesecake as a birthday present for old friends from Finland that I was meeting up with, in celebration of one of their birthdays - unaware at the time due to fog I'd have to switch airports from LGA to JFK and be stuck there until late at night. It went into the fridge at my mom's in Florida until the morning and then 3 hours by car to Port St. Lucie. We laughed hysterically when opening the box, seeing the flattening Strawberry Cheesecake (pic) but it was still amazing! We devoured it! Cut to now... when visiting my Astoria friend and his family who have since moved to L.A. Of course, I had to bring them one of New York Bakery Cafe's Strawberry Cheesecake. While this trip wasn't as long, navigating the plane change caused the cake to turn on its side. Arriving at night, we planned on enjoy it together after dinner the next day. Before we opened it up, my friend's wife confessed she couldn't wait! (See 2nd pic.) Even on its side, it's equally delicious! (I can attest to that eating the slice in the 3rd pic.) You're my go-to place for Strawberry Cheesecake, New York Bakery Cafe! Thank you for making one so memorably delicious!

This place has done some major improvements since I last stopped by! I am a sucker for Greek cookies especially the powdered ones. They are conveniently located right off the n/w train on 30th Avenue. The staff is so sweet and attentive. Other favorites include their cheesecake, cannolis and tiramisu BUT my favorite are their powdered Greek cookies. I only get them once a week since they're $20 a lb ... I only do 1/2 a lb otherwise I would have to be in the gym twice a day. The cookies are so moist and powdery; the best I've had truthfully. Although they are always packed, I am always in and out! They've Definitely done a whole 360 since the last time I've been here.

Just recently me and my wife discoverd newyork bakery café. I tried the oreo Cookie chocolate cake. My wife had there chocolate mousse cake with a strawberry on top. Both pieces of cake was nice and moist . If you like oreo Cookies you will enjoy the oreo Cookie cake. As far as the chocolate mouse cake goes my wife enjoyed it . She said it was one of the better pieces of chocolate mousse cake she has tried. If you like cakes and Cookies this place is your dream spot. So much pastries to choose from. The customer service and ambiance was good as well.

Wow for the hot chocolate. Yummy flavor and whipped cream. I had lost hope in finding a decent hot chocolate in the city although there are some... I can't comment on the pastries. They look amazing. I am gluten free and wasn't sure if they had any items without gluten containing ingredients. The person who helped me was super nice and brought the hot chocolate out to me. You'll have to be able to taste for yourself the other items, but lemme tell you the store smells amazing!

I have been going to this bakery for years!! After dinner nearby, I wanted something sweet & decided to stop by here for some dessert with my daughter. The inside is still the same as it was when they first opened, it is always very clean with so many options, including a lot of Greek desserts which happen to be my favorite! I decided to opt in for the pecan pie, this can be a hit or miss at a lot of bakeries but it was absolutely delicious - I just wish I heated it up because I know it would've been even better!! My daughter had the Galaktoboureko and said she was surprised that there were orange bits inside but said it was a nice touch and made it even tastier! We ate our dessert in their outdoor area and the staff was all so sweet, brought us water & were attentive! Would definitely recommend this place for dessert if you're in the neighborhood!

I've tried both the Tiramisu and the berry cheesecake here and both were really good but different from the other renditions I've had in the past. Berry cheesecake was super wet for some reason. The interior of the cheesecake was really soft and almost liquidy with a thin layer of sponge cake at the very bottom. Tiramisu was really good but it was really more of a tiramisu mousse than a tiramisu cake. There was no real ladyfingers or sponge cake layered between mascarpone mousse. If you like whipped cream and the mascarpone cream, this is a better tiramisu than the typical cake. If you prefer the layers, this probably wouldn't be great. All in all- I'd still come back and try their other stuff

There's a great selection of cakes and pastries. I think you can't go wrong with anything. Quick with orders. Pretty nice ambience as you are right beside the display. Recommended indeed.

Mostly sweet items but such a wide variety. You will find your traditional cupcakes and various cakes, but will also find baklava, somali, cannolis and spinach pie. The oreo brownies are huge!

The Mango and Pistachio looked so realistic and mirrored the flavors perfectly. I love the size of their cakes which are perfect to share with a group of 4. I indulged in their Black Sesame Mochi Cake and Blueberry Chiffon Cake which both have the fluffiest sponge cake base, a fluffy vibrant cream, and fresh ingredients and fruit. Give their drinks a try too. I enjoy their matcha here! The Traffic Lights is a strawberry matcha with a mango cream top. And I also tried their Black Sesame Latte but substituted the espresso for matcha and loved this customized pairing. FYI, there is no bathroom!

It felt like items weren't made with care and mass produced at a factory or something. I went 10 minutes before they closed and there was still 10+ of each dessert. I'm not convinced that they will dispose of them. Even if they do, it means they didn't do a good job in forecasting demand especially after being in business for multiple years. I ordered mango and yuzu. Both were too sweet and had one dimensional flavor and textures, not refreshing per their stated flavors. Even if their appearances take effort, they don't look pretty enough for me to forgive what goes in my mouth. I'm used to having patisseries with many layers and elements. Mango's sponge probably only took up 20% of the bottom, because I barely had bites of it. Most of my bites didn't have any. I didn't like how liquid the filling was. It didn't exactly ooze out but just melted into a puddle in my mouth. Yuzu looks pretty with the pink and yellow glaze, but it didn't go with the realistic fruit theme. I chose it for the flavor combination which is strawberry, yuzu, and guava. This was slightly better in terms of flavor variety in the mouth. The flower on top had a weird off putting flavor. The bottom crispy rice apparently is supposed to be chocolate but it came out plain. It was tasteless anyway, so not effective in terms of flavor or texture.

I had to run to work after an appointment so I ordered for takeout. The person taking my order was friendly. I opted for the Lumberjack and a black cold brew. I received the drink very quickly, with a short wait for the sandwich. While waiting, one member of the staff stocking up supplies on the side started chatting with me and then she offered to check up on my sandwich. She came out with it shortly thereafter. She was very friendly and helpful. The sandwich held up well during my 15-minute commute to the office. It is a really indulgent sandwich, with each bite revealing the sweetness and butteriness of the maple crueller, the saltiness of the thick cut bacon, and the savoriness of the cheese and the eggs as the yolks popped. I sipped the cold brew in between bites to cut the richness. It was a very satisfying meal. The Lumberjack is not something I would recommend you eat every day, but it's good as an occasional treat. In the past I've ordered lunch from Daily Provisions via delivery (the "Chefy" salad and the chicken milanese with arugula salad are my favorites), but I might start adding other breakfast sandwiches to the mix.

The place was bustling with people, and everyone seemed happy and excited -- from the customers to the team behind the counter and the baristas. The service was absolutely impeccable, and everyone I interacted with was warm, friendly, and delightful. When I got home, I had half of the Rocky Road cookie with a cup of tea, and it was incredible. The cookie was large and chunky but still perfectly enjoyable -- not heavy or overwhelming. It literally melted in my mouth. The chocolate was rich and smooth, and every bite was just delicious. The next morning, I tried the blueberry muffin, and it was just as impressive.
